The Lazlo Letters Volume 2," and "From Bush to Bush: The Lazlo Toth Letters". These all consisted of letters written to various companies, politicians, and others from the mythical Lazlo Toth, and the serious replies they received.
- He once visited the Vatican in his costume for his character "Father Guido Sarducci" and was arrested by the Swiss Guards for "impersonating a priest" after he took several photographs in an area where photography is prohibited. The charges were later dropped, but the incident made news around the world. Novello later joked about the affair, suggesting that he might go to Utah and see if he could be arrested for impersonating a member of the Osmond family.
