Biography

The actor is regularly in the cast of many projects, ranging from theatre, to television, to cinema. He launched his career in 2000 with the play A Real Calçada ao Sol, to which followed the movie Um Homem não é um Gato Directed by Marie Brand .

He reached stardom in Portugal in 2002, with television projects such as Saber Amar e Bairro da Fonte. In 2004, the actor became the first non-Brazilian protagonist in a Rede Globo soap-opera. He signed a contract with the Brazilian broadcaster, Rede Globo and started to work regularly in Brasil, so he moved to Rio de Janeiro "Cidade Maravilhosa" ("wonderful city") with his family . Since then he has integrated the casts of various Rede Globo productions, starring in Como uma Onda or Aquele Beijo, to name a few. Also, from time to time, went back to his country to be protagonist in cinema, tv and theater projects. On is CV are listed some international projects such as : 100 Metros Directed by Marcel Barrena (Spain) or Cosmos Directed by Andrej Zulawski (France/Portugal).

Ricardo Pereira works as a TV presenter as well, both in Portugal and Brazil, namely hosting Episódio Especial (SIC, Pt) and Dança na Galera (Domingão do Faustão, Rede Globo, Br). Furthermore, he has been the face of various advertising campaigns in the two countries, publicising banks, supermarkets, entertainment chain-stores and other companies.

He is currently (2021) one air with a TV Series called Amor Amor performing the Lead male character , the popular singer 'Romeu Santiago' in tv portuguese channel Sic and also finished a film in August 2020 to be screened this year in Portugal : A Revolta de Tiago R. Santos.
