Sonic the Hedgehog is currently celebrating a great 23rd year of existence, with a recent gaming remake coming out right in time for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 to hit theaters. Sadly, this comes as the speedy rodent's animated ventures are leaving one of the biggest streaming platforms.
The anime Sonic X and the later series Sonic Boom are currently streaming on Netflix, but that's about to change. Via What's On Netflix, by the end of December, both of them will be off the streaming service. Thankfully, fans of Sonic's anime series can still watch it elsewhere.

Video games have had their fair share of infamous villains, from Far Cry's absolutely terrifying Vaas Montenegro to the constantly outwitted Dr Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog. It's important that every video game with a villain gets it right, as an adventure is only as compelling as its primary antagonist. Fortunately, while there have been a few duds here and there, for the most part, there are some truly iconic and memorable baddies throughout video game history.
Naturally, the list is incredibly long and not every villain will earn a spot. So, while iconic villains like General Shepherd, Ridley, Pyramid Head, and the ever irresistible Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil 8 might not make the cut, they're absolutely worth mentioning. Fortunately, those that are considered the very best villains in all gaming absolutely deserve their spot.

Pokémon is the highest-grossing multimedia franchise of all-time and the series’ long-running anime represents a popular pillar of its fandom. Gkids to release hit in Us on January 17.
Gkids has announced Riz Ahmed, Alison Brie and Lee Pace in the English-language voice cast of Japanese animation hit Weathering With You.
An English dub and Japanese version of Makoto Shinkai’s film opens in the Us on January 15 and 16 in fan previews arranged through Fathom Events, before Gkids releases it publicly on January 17.
Weathering With You was the number one Japanese release of 2019 and centres on a high school freshman who flees his remote island to a rainy Tokyo, where he finds work as a writer for a mysterious occult magazine.

Hold on to your hats, Sonic The Hedgehog fans, Sega has a special announcement in store for you all next week. The reveal – whatever it is – will be made at next week’s SXSW (South by Southwest) entertainment event as part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations for the World’s Fastest Hedgehog.
But that’s not all, oh no. Among many others that have worked on the series over the last two-plus decades, Yuji Naka – the man that created Sonic – will also be present at the event. The event description on SXSW’s events page reads:

Sega has pulled out all the stops for the new entries in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Not only are there two new games for the Wii U and Nintendo 3Ds, Sonic fans have been treated to a new animated cartoon on Cartoon Network and a new title from Archie Comics, for a total of four if you count the magazine-sized Sonic Super Special. Not bad for a game series that over two decades long.

Sega’s annual fan celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog will kick off Super Week, New York Comic Con’s seven day celebration leading up to the convention. Sonic Boom will take place on Saturday, October 4th at the Manhattan Center Ballroom in New York City.
Events include appearances by the voice cast of the new Sonic Boom TV series, premiering this fall on Cartoon Network.
