Sorry, folks, the wait for Mulan just got a little longer! Just hours after Disney made the surprise move to push Avengers: Infinity War from May 4, to April 27, the studio has made another big change to its release schedule. The studio has pushed its highly-anticipated live-action remake of Mulan from an unspecified date in 2019 to March 27, 2020. As of now, Mulan will be going up against Paramount's G.I. Joe movie on March 27, 2020, with the only other movies currently slated for that month being an untitled Pixar project that was just moved from March 13, 2020 to March 6, 2020, and an untitled Fox/Marvel project slated for March 13, 2020.
Disney had originally slated this Mulan remake for release on November 2, 2018, way back in October 2016, with director Niki Caro (Whale Rider) coming aboard to take the helm in February 2017. Even after a director was found, there still wasn't much news on this project, and it was revealed last summer,...

Disney is moving full-steam ahead on their live-action Mulan remake. Key members of the crew have now been put in place as filming is slated to begin later this month. Though no release date has been specified by the studio, Mulan is slated to arrive in 2019 and, with filming taking place very soon, it's possible we could see the movie early on next year, as opposed to seeing it drop in the summer or winter. Though, there are already quite a few live-action remakes coming from the Mouse House next year, so it's going to be a bit crowded.
Niki Caro, best known for her work on the movie Whale Rider, has been tapped by Disney to direct the live-action Mulan. In a new report, it's revealed that Narcos' costume designer Bina Daigeler has been added to the crew. In addition, Sean Andrew Faden (Power Rangers) will serve as...

Each year, the cast and stunt performers of the Starz original series “Spartacus” convene a month before production to go through vigorous training to get into Gladiator shape and prepare for the extensive action sequences featured in every episode. “Meticulous choreographing is necessary to ensure the safety of the actors performing the stunts,” says stunt coordinator Allan Poppleton, who has overseen each of the Spartacus boot camps. “For four weeks, we work the cast to the point of exhaustion, combining cross training elements- everything from cardio, basic gymnastics, foot and movement work, unarmed combat, body awareness, reactions, weaponry, and functional cross fit circuits.” While this is one of the most difficult processes for an actor to go through, the results are incredibly...

Spartacus: Vengeance debuts on Starz Friday, January 27 at 10 Pm Et, with Liam McIntyre starring as the new Spartacus in place of the late Andy Whitfield. Manu Bennett (Crixius), Nick Tarabay (Ashur), Craig Parker (Glaber), and Daniel Feuerriegel (Agron) all return to the series, and they recently held a conference call to discuss the new season. Here's what they had to say below.
I'm just so happy to see your character, Ashur returning. And I wanted to know if you could give us a tease on will your paths be crossing Crixus? And how entrenched are you going to become in Lucy Lawless' world? And give us any details you can.
Nick Tarabay: Well first of all thanks. Yes, it's good to be back. And I think it won't be a story if Ashur and Crixus somehow don't get together that way, especially having Crixus my ultimate enemy on the show.

Starz debuts the epic adventure series Spartacus: Vengenace on Friday, January 27 at 10 Pm Et (clickHere to watch the full premiere episode early). Series creator Steven S. DeKnight recently held a conference call to discuss what's in store this season, which features Liam McIntyre as the new Spartacus, replacing the late Andy Whitfield. Take a look at what he has to say below.
One of the things I really love about the show is that no character is safe at any time and how do you go about deciding which of the characters should go and when and is there any character that you wish you still had for this upcoming season.
Steven S. DeKnight: Yes, there's always a question of, you know, on this show characters literally get the ax. I think ultimately for me it comes from the story is how is the story best served by a character death.

Chicago – One of the most popular opinions among modern audiences is the notion that television shows have become consistently better than films. This is partly because many of the year’s best movies are relegated to urban art houses, while shows like “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad” are available on small screens nationwide. Yet I’d argue that there’s just as much derivative dreck on TV as there is in mainstream multiplexes.
Two recent shows on Starz illustrate this principal in exquisite fashion. Both “Camelot” and “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena” are the latest rehashes of ancient tales that have nothing new to bring to the table, besides a smattering of gore and nudity to better portray the “reality” of their oft-romanticized subject matter (while simultaneously boosting ratings). Neither show emerges as anything more than an inferior imitation of past hit films. One show is a complete rip-off, while the other registers as HBO-lite.
