Death comes in many forms but it was cancer that took away the lives of a couple of Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes. It was our Black Panther Chadwick Boseman in 2020 and then we lost Kamar de los Reyes, aka the White Tiger, from Daredevil: Born Again in 2023. Most of you know him as the charming antagonist from the Call of Duty: Black Ops franchise as Raul Menendez.
Recently, Daredevil: Born Again director Michael Cuesta discussed him while having a chat with Brandon Davis on Phase Hero: A Film & TV Podcast. And it was then he told us about the experience while working with Kamar. Just like the case with Boseman, Kamar never told anyone about the disease and went on to shoot the latest Marvel TV show.
No One had an Idea What Kamar was Going Through Kamar’s White Tiger debuted in the second episode of the MCU show.

‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers cannot be confirmed 100 percent. However, the September 26th episode may be the end of Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom). It is potentially the last time we see Vail Bloom grace our screens on the soap.
Heather, the daughter of Paul Williams and Heather Stevens, was first seen in 1979; however, Vail played Heather from 2007 to 2010. Eden Riegel played Heather from 2010 to 2011 and Jennifer Landon in 2012. Currently, Vail has been playing Heather from 2023 to present.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: How Can Sharon Come Back From This?
Y&r took the “no comment” stance and hasn’t verified either way. If the character, Heather, really did take her last breath, how can Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) bounce back from that?
Sharon has been clearly unstable for months, and no one in Genoa City has tried too hard to get her the help she needs. They...

Who were the best LGBTQ couples in daytime soap opera history? The sad truth is that there aren’t that many to choose from. Despite the shows dipping their toes in the water with queer characters and storylines in the 1990s — like Ryan Phillippe as groundbreaking gay teen Billy Douglas on “One Life to Live” from 1992 to 1993 — the show shied away from romance for its queer characters until the 21st century. Greg Rikaart is no stranger to the Daytime Emmys. He earned five Best Supporting Actor nominations for his role as Kevin Fisher on “The Young and the Restless”, winning on his very first try. He also earned a nomination for Best New Approaches–Daytime Entertainment as part of the cast of the online series “Imaginary Bitches.” But Rikaart could make history if he wins for his new role on “Days of Our Lives.” He would be the first to win Best Supporting Actor for a gay role. And he would be the first openly gay actor to win for a gay role in any category.

Late Show with Stephen Colbert writer Ariel Dumas apologized yesterday for tweeting about her happiness in helping to ruin Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s life. Considering Kavanaugh had just secured a lifelong gig on the Supreme Court, the “ruined life” tweet was, as Dumas later said, an attempt at sarcasm.
But did Dumas go too far – in apologizing? Many of her fellow comedy writers are coming to her defense. One even pledged “fire and fury” from Dumas’ fellow female comedy writers if the CBS Late Show writer is “financially” punished.
“Every comedy writer supports you,” tweeted Danny Zuker, executive producer of ABC’s Modern Family. “How great would it be if the people trolling you were this outraged over a woman being sexually assaulted?
Kathy Griffin tweeted Monday that Dumas is “a comedy writer, being held to a higher standard than the President of the United States. Love you @ArielDumas, f*ck the haters.

Donald Trump’s most winning week of his presidency continued today with Justice Anthony Kennedy announcing his pending retirement from the Supreme Court, and Hollywood types are making their feelings known about it. The mostly unsurprising news came hours after Scotus struck down a pro-union Illinois law and a day after it upheld Trump’s Muslim travel ban.
Kennedy has been the swing vote on a divided court since he was nominated by President Reagan in 1988 and confirmed on a 97-0 Senate vote. While left-leaners are un-thrilled about his siding with the conservative majority in the two crucial decisions this week – and his votes on key states-rights issues over the decades — he has been the key deciding vote in many progressive causes. They include Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992), which preserved the foundation of legal abortion from Roe v. Wade; the majority decision upholding affirmative action; and a series of gay-rights rulings, most famously the freedom of same-sex marriage via Obergefell v. Hodges three years ago.
Here is a sampling of reaction to Kennedy’s announcement from showbiz people, TV news pundits, some prominent politicians and others. We’ll add to the post as they come in, so refresh for the latest.

Soap Opera Digest has reported that actress Elizabeth Hendrickson is joining the cast of “General Hospital” in a new role that starts taping this week. This will be her first time appearing on the ABC soap opera, following nine years (2008-2017) of playing Chloe Mitchell on-and-off on CBS’s “The Young and the Restless.” Last year Chloe skipped town and faked her death to avoid prosecution for murder — they’ll never think to look for her in Port Charles.
Chloe is probably Hendrickson’s best-known role to soap opera fans, and it earned her four Daytime Emmy nominations for Best Supporting Actress. But she actually got her start on “All My Children,” where she played Frankie Stone in 2001 and then her twin sister Maggie Stone from 2002 to 2005 after Frankie was murdered.
