The Christmas season has no shortage of classic specials in which audiences can indulge. From Frosty the Snowman to How the Grinch Stole Christmas, there’s a jolly entry that can warm the heart of even the coldest Scrooge. Perhaps no special does this better than A Charlie Brown Christmas. From its memorable characters to its beautiful themes, it’s not only one of the best entries in the Peanuts franchise; it’s one of the finest holiday movies ever made. Despite being a joyous tradition, though, bringing Charlie Brown (Peter Robbins) and his friends to the screen was not an easy task.

The Peanuts Movie was a 92-minute celebration of everything that makes the Peanuts franchise so great. It celebrates Lucy's love for psychiatry, Charlie Brown's relationship with Snoopy, and even the unrequited love for the Little Red-Haired Girl. Even the infamous flying kite gets some well-deserved attention. The movie earned nearly $250 million on a $99 million budget, earning multiple awards and nominations along the way and proving that there remains a widespread appreciation for the Peanuts characters.
Yet, while the movie continued one astounding legacy, it also began another. Rather than relying on six-year-old actors, as previous adaptations of the franchise did, the producers elected to cast Noah Schnapp as Charlie Brown. He was 11 when he first began playing the character, and the movie afforded him his big break before he moved on to the world-renowned Stranger Things.
Noah Schnapp Excelled in The Peanuts Movie
Most classic Peanuts specials hardly offer much from an acting standpoint.

The best fall movies make for comforting watches by incorporating the most memorable elements of the season, whether that's autumn leaves, hot drinks, cozy sweaters, or holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving. Autumn is particularly gorgeous in film, as the colored leaves and warm tones make for a beautiful aesthetic on-screen. A stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of summer and the busyness of the winter holidays, fall is a season all about slowing down, making it the perfect time to stay in for a movie binge-fest.
For horror fans, autumn is all about "spooky season" and the thrills and scares that go along with Halloween. Watching the best horror movies can be fun, but they're all about putting audiences on edge while the best fall movies are about comfort and relaxation. And while most horror movies set in the autumn tend to be based around Halloween, fall movies can...

Sunday’s SAG Awards ceremony will return to its normal two-hour live format on TNT and TBS. One of the highlights each year is the special In Memoriam segment. It’s been a particularly rough year with over 100 deaths of prominent actors and actresses who were likely members of SAG/AFTRA. Show producers typically are able to include approximately 40-50 people in a tribute. The 2021 segment saluted 55 people because they had responsibility for 14 months instead of 12.
Among that group will certainly be previous SAG president Ed Asner, who was also a life achievement award recipient. That honorary award was also presented to Sidney Poitier and Betty White, who both died this past year.
