Craig Robinson holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from Illinois State University and his Master's degree in Music Education from Saint Xavier University. He is a skilled musician and plays the piano, guitar, and drums.

Before going into show business, Robinson was a music teacher at Horace Mann Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Did not start doing stand-up comedy until he was in his late twenties.

He was also a music teacher at Henry Eggers Middle School in Hammond, Indiana, USA.

Appeared in two movies concerning the Apocalypse which were released within days of each other. Rapture-Palooza (June 7, 2013) and This Is The End (June 12, 2013).
