Popular ABC crime drama High Potential recently wrapped its first season and the finale did not disappoint. The episode ended by setting up a villain story arc for Season 2.

The episode, titled "Let's Play," pushed the LAPD to its limits as Morgan and the team tried to catch a criminal mastermind. Due to several false leads, the wrong person ended up on their radar while the real bad guy (played by David Giuntoli) roamed free. Speaking to TVLine, showrunner Todd Harthan explained that the mystery character may be the focus in the next season. "I love a good serialized villain," he said. "I also love going into a Season 2 where there might be another surprise or two, so it’s a bit of an open box."

The ABC procedural wrapped its first season on Tuesday by pitting the LAPD against a sadistic strategist, one whose deadly games tested Morgan’s team like never before. Poor Oz almost died at the bottom of a pool, ultimately saved by Morgan’s quick thinking and Karadec’s even-quicker swimming.

The bad news is that ABC isn't airing a new episode of High Potential on Tuesday, November 26; the semi-good news is that the show returns in early 2025. ABC's new crime drama TV series is a surprise hit following its premiere in September 2024. After only seven episodes, High Potential has garnered quite the following and impressive ratings. Unfortunately, though, that means more people will be disappointed to learn that High Potential season 1, episode 8 won't be released during the week of Thanksgiving.

Psych might just be one of the best detective shows of all time because it is so different from other whodunnits. The series is part procedural because it does use the case-of-the-week format, but its also a comedy that found its niche in spoofing other pop culture phenomena. Many of its best episodes riffed on classics like Clue, The Shining, and even Twin Peaks.

Psych follows Shawn Spencer (James Roday Rodriguez) and Burton Guster (Dul Hill) as they open a psychic detective agency as a way of explaining just how Shawn manages to be one step ahead of the police on their investigations. As a psychic consultant, he doesnt have to be tied to the rules and regulations of the police force, despite being trained in them from a young age. Floriana Lima, most recently seen on A Million Little Things, has been added to the season 21 cast in a recurring role. She’ll play Nora, a childhood friend of Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Megan Hunt’s (Abigail Spencer), who comes to Grey Sloan when a routine operation at another hospital results in dangerous complications.

Nora is described as a devoted mother and recent divorcée who is determined to do whatever it takes to survive so that she can be there for her children and experience the next chapter of her life.
