A deleted scene from Freebird (2008), which can be seen on the DVD, shows David Schofield reprising his role as the darts player from An American Werewolf in London (1981).

Only actor to appear in both An American Werewolf in London (1981) and The Wolfman (2010). Both films featured Oscar-winning makeup by Rick Baker.

Was the first actor to play the title role in the hit play "The Elephant Man", in its initial British run. The role was later played on Broadway by Philip Anglim and, briefly, David Bowie.

His daughter Blanche Schofield appeared in Emily's Ghost (1992).
