Was born in Berlin to Israeli parents of Russian and Yemenite origin, moved to France at age 9.

His acting teacher was Jack Waltzer. Tomer worked with him for over 10 years. Jack Waltzer was Dustin Hoffman's coach for Tootsie, and actors such as Robert Duvall, Sharon Stone, John Voight, Gina Davis and many more attended his class.

In 2003 he was the first French stand up comedian ever to have won the "revelation prize" at the "Just For Laughs" festival in Montreal, the biggest comedy festival in the world. He also was the first French comedian since the creation of the festival to be offered to perform in English, which he did.

Also a stand-up comedian.

His girlfriend Julie gave birth to their first child, Liv Shaya, on October 3th, 2008.
