- Hermann Thimig was born on October 3, 1890 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. He was an actor, known for Viktor und Viktoria (1933), The Threepenny Opera (1931) and The Doll (1919). He was married to Vilma Degischer and Hanna Wisser. He died on July 7, 1982 in Vienna, Austria.

- Acted in silent films, frequently opposite actresses Henny Porten and Ossi Oswalda. With the advent of sound, he tended to appear in musical comedy and operettas, various times in tandem with star Renate Mueller.
