- Artur Vakha is a renowned Soviet and Russian film, stage, and television actor, beloved by the people of St. Petersburg for four decades of work in local theaters.
His parents were actor Victor Vakha and the theater director and educator Volya Vasilevna Vakha. Artur first appeared on stage at the age of seven in "Man from the Side" at the Lensovet Theater.
In 1980, Artur enrolled at the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music, and Cinema (LGITMiK), studying under Vladimir Petrov. Among his classmates were Murad Sultaniyazov (an actor at the theater "Buff") and Aleksandr Lykov. Vakha graduated from the Institute in 1984 and joined the troupe of the Nikolay Akimov Comedy Theater.
In 1999, he was honored with the title of Merited Artist of the Russian Federation. Since 2005, Vakha has been a member of the troupe at the Leningrad City Council Theater.
