Ghosts is still waiting for a Season 5 renewal from CBS. Luckily for fans, actor Utkarsh Ambudkar, who plays Jay Arondekar in the hit sitcom, believes one is on the way.
Speaking with Screen Rant, Ambudkar shared that he believes Ghosts has a better shot at being renewed than being canceled, noting that the sitcom has struck a chord with audiences. "It's one of those things where we are beloved by people, and I haven't experienced anything like it. Everywhere we go, especially if we're together, we're stopped by people out in the streets whose entire family watches Ghosts together," he explained. "We've struck the right chord with viewers, where they wanted something that they could sit down and watch with their whole family, which wasn't sugarcoated or saccharin and still had some edge; it has a lot of comedy and is still taking chances."

Not all adaptations of Princess Diana's life and portrayal are on the same level, with some lacking truthful moments and depth. Kristen Stewart's portrayal of Diana in the film "Spencer" focused on her struggles with mental health and eating disorders, and while divisive, Stewart's performance was strong. Emma Corrin and Elizabeth Debicki delivered standout performances as Diana in "The Crown," capturing her younger years and maturing character, respectively.
Princess Diana was an internationally beloved figure, and her story has been told many times by different actors in movies, musicals, and TV shows like The Crown. The Princess came under intense public scrutiny while she was alive, and after her passing in 1997, many filmmakers took up the challenge of portraying her life with dignity and care. While this may be the case, not all adaptations of her experiences or portrayals of her as a person are on the same level.

Magic Mike’s Last Dance sees Channing Tatum and Steven Soderbergh back together to finish what they started 11 years ago. This time, however, most of the magic seems to have gone, as too has the entertainment.
After the Covid pandemic Mike (Channing Tatum) has fallen on hard times, his business has gone under and he now finds himself bartending a rich charity event. After the event, he meets Max (Salma Hayek), the hostess of said event, who needs a spark added to her life. That spark comes in the form of a dance, a dance Mike gives her that will finally give her a sense of purpose, a sense of life she hasn’t felt in years. That spark...

It’s New Year’s Eve once again over at Trailers From Hell, so you know what that means, fellow cineastes: it’s Val Kilmer’s birthday!
As such, our Kilmer Birthday Committee (of one) will continue its annual tradition of watching one Val classic in celebration. Tonight’s entertainment: the criminally under-seen and intensely silly Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker adventure comedy Top Secret! (1984), a mash-up Elvis musical/spy caper parody picture. This relentlessly unserious entertainment carries special significance for Kilmerphiles, as it brought the world Val’s first-ever feature film role.
Now when Val Kilmer makes his celluloid acting debut, he’s not just some featured extra, or the 12th lead, or whatever. Don’t be silly. He’s the star, damn it.
In Top Secret!, that means he’s Nick Rivers, a Presley-esque rock and roller who finds himself inadvertently at the heart of an attempted hostile overseas takeover. This raucous...

Sky Studios has signed development and distribution deals with Free@Last TV, the indie behind the Agatha Raisin series, and Icelandic producer Sagafilm.
Under the “multi-year” deals, the Comcast-owned studio will work with the companies to co-develop new drama projects for international services. NBCUniversal Global Distribution will then take them to market.
Free@Last and Sagafilm can continue to develop projects outside of the arrangements, and Sky Studios has not taken any equity in the companies as part of the deals.
Free@Last is best known for its M.C. Beaton adaptation Agatha Raisin, starring Extras and Catastrophe actress Ashley Jensen. Sky One originally launched the show, only to cancel it. AMC’s Acorn TV then rescued the series and it was acquired by Sky One.
Other dramas on Free@Last’s slate include Caleb Ranson’s The Women, about Britain’s first policewoman, while it also has the rights...

"What I don't understand, is why anyone would buy a record sung by ten hairy-ass fisherman?" Ent. Film Distributors in the UK has debuted an official trailer for a dramedy titled Fisherman's Friends, based on the true story of a group of traditional folk singers from Cornwall. It's about a music exec from London who travels up to Cornwall in hopes of signing them, only to discover a group of shanty singing fishermen who aren't interested in fame and fortune. "As he's drawn deeper into the traditional way of life he's forced to re-evaluate his own integrity and ultimately question what success really means." In the real world, they went on to release a few albums that became huge UK hits anyway. Fisherman's Friends stars James Purefoy, Tuppence Middleton, Christian Brassington, Daniel Mays, David Hayman, Noel Clarke, Sarah Winter, Maggie Steed, and Christopher Villiers. Looks like a bunch of "shanty singing fishermen" fun.

Don't you find that some days that there are tasks that you meant to do but never got round to doing? Hoovering, washing up and writing thank you cards for Christmases and birthdays. They all tend to get lumped to the back of the brain in the pile of chores that's as big as a hippopotamus.
Even The Doctor finds that there are some things that are long overdue. Places to go. People to meet. When you're a busy Time Lord saving planets all the time, the little things tend to get overlooked. So having mentioned an outer space Orient Express at the end of The Big Bang, The Doctor's been somewhat distracted ever since. What with killer astronauts, Trenzalore and regeneration taking up most of The Doctor's time, it's little wonder that it's taken him until now to get round to taking Clara along for one last fling aboard the Tardis.

There’s one of two things you can be almost guaranteed of when you see a story that takes place on a train – romance, or a murder.
Mummy On The Orient Express
By Jamie Mathieson
Directed by Paul Wilmshurst
As a farewell fling, The Doctor takes Clara on a trip aboard the Orient Express in space, exactingly copied from the original, except for the bit about being spaceworthy. It becomes quickly apparent that all is not well on the craft – a mysterious unseen beast is killing people exactly 66 seconds after the victim sees it – and no one else does. It turns out this particular journey is a massive two-fold trap – the ship is filled with scientists versed in areas of research that pertain to the beast, and are pressed into service to capture it, by any means necessary.

Frank Skinner is such a big fan of Doctor Who that he even has his own five-foot cardboard Dalek in his bedroom, so it must be a dream come true for the comedian to find himself joining the show for this week's episode 'Mummy on the Orient Express'.
Skinner is cast as Perkins in the exciting new episode, which also guest stars David Bamber, singer-songwriter Foxes, John Sessions and Christopher Villiers.
Speaking about landing the role, Skinner said: "I love this show. I subscribe to Doctor Who Magazine, I've got a Tardis ringtone, a five-foot cardboard Dalek in my bedroom and when I got the call saying they wanted me to read for the part, I was in the back of my tour bus watching episode three of 'The Sensorites'. I am beyond excited."
Showrunner Steven Moffat joked that he gave Skinner the part to stop him camping out in his garden.

Movie Review: 'Land Gold Women'; Star Cast: Narinder Samra, Neelam Parmar, Chris Villiers and Hassani Shapi; Writer-Director: Avantika Hari; Rating: *** 1/2 - has its heart at right place.
There is a nip in the British air. The verdant tranquility of Birmingham is torn apart by the kind of domestic violence that we read about and talk only in hushed whispers.
But honour killing in 'civilized' England? Nah! This one has got to be just one of those exaggerated dramas of the damned that come along to shock us in the movies.
It's astonishing how quickly and expertly writer-director Avantika Hari does away.

There is a nip in the British air…The verdant tranquility of Birmingham is torn apart by the kind of domestic violence that we read about and talk only in hushed whispers, and that too when references are made to supposedly primitive practices in the psychologically-undeveloped section of North India.
But honour killing in ‘civilized’ England? Nah! This one has got to be just one of those exaggerated dramas of the damned that come along to shock us in the movies.
It’s astonishing how quickly and expertly writer-director Avantika Hari does away with our cynical reading of the volatile subject. The script approaches its gentle characters, a cultured Muslim family keeping its head high(and veiled, of course) in a super-cosmopolitan society that constantly threatens to blow the lid off the conservative core of the family nucleus.

The love life of gay teenager Ian Gallagher (Gerard Kearns) on the U.K. series Shameless has never been easy. Whether it’s having to steal a bed just so he can have sex with his hot new boyfriend (somehow landing in prison because of it), trying to keep his ongoing affair with a married man a secret, or that fling with a homophobic drug dealer who has a strange sexual quirk (big surprise), something always comes along to make finding love (or just getting laid) a trying ordeal for poor Ian.

Two Men Went to War
Screened at the Hollywood International Film Festival
Purportedly based on actual events, Guerilla Films' "Two Men Went to War" is a wobbly comedy-drama about two misfit members of England's World War II Army Dental Corps on an unconventional mission to take on the enemy.
Although the performances are solid enough, the direction (by John Henderson) and script (credited to Richard Everett, Christopher Villiers and Raymond Foxall, from Foxall's book "Amateur Commandos") are engaged in an ongoing tonal battle, with the upshot being that the film can never decide if it wants to be "Kelly's Heroes" or "Hogan's Heroes".
Deemed too old for active duty, a crusty sergeant (Kenneth Cranham) recruits a wet-behind-the-ears private (Leo Bill) to join him on an unsanctioned mission into occupied France.
Nothing goes as planned, but somehow the bumbling duo ends up stumbling across a German radar station and saving the day for the good guys, despite having gone AWOL in the process.
It's all quite inoffensive, and the rest of the cast -- including old pros Derek Jacobi, Phyllida Law (Emma Thompson's mum) and David Ryall as an amusing Winston Churchill -- are their usual capable selves. But in the end, the picture comes up sufficiently short on both the wit and action fronts to be declared a keeper.
