The revolution is about to begin in the new trailer for the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale, set to premiere April 8 on Hulu.
With the adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s novel feeling more unsettlingly prescient than ever, the new trailer finds Elisabeth Moss’ June Osborne setting out to finally take down the oppressive government of Gilead. “We’re just two lunatics going into Gilead on a wing and a prayer,” June’s husband, Luke (O-t Fagbenle) tells her at one point.
To which June replies with ferocious certainty, “They will never see us coming.

After the longest gap between seasons, The Handmaid's Tale is almost back. The show will return next April with the sixth and final season after more than two years, and, although the series is nearing its finale, there is a long way to go.
The critically acclaimed series' Season 5 ended with June trying to escape with Nichole from Canada on a train after Luke stays behind and is arrested. As she tries to find a spot, she runs into Serena and Noah, trying to escape as well. Hulu just released its full, official trailer for The Handmaid's Tale Season 6, and is explosive and filled with action.
Previous footage teased a rebellion by the handmaids, trying to overturn the regime in Gilead. The new final trailer further delves into the war, introducing a series of new characters, including The Good Wife's Josh Charles, as Elizabeth Moss' June leads a resistance against Gilead.

The Diplomat is expected to return to Netflix in 2025 with a season 3 of the political thriller starring Keri Russell as the US ambassador to the UK, Kat Wyler, and Rufus Sewell as her husband, Hal. After the explosive ending of season 2, which revealed betrayal and possibly left many essential characters for dead, the series is prepared to bring an even more exciting third season.
The ending of season 2 revealed the shocking news that it wasn’t Iran or Russia that ordered the British aircraft blown up, but it was British prime minister Nicol Trowbridge, played by Rory Kinnear. It also seems that he is the one who ordered another explosion; this one aimed at killing Hal Wyler (Sewell), deputy chief of mission Stuart Hayford (Ato Essandoh), office clerk Ronnie (Jess Chanliau), and MP Merritt Grove (Simon Chandler).

In perhaps the single most charming scene of For Worse, Lauren (Amy Landecker) shares a cigarette with Dave (Bradley Whitford). The characters are near strangers, tossed together by weird and annoying circumstances. But in that moment, their chemistry feels immediate, loose with warmth and crackling with possibility. It just feels right to see them together; this is the kind of connection rom-coms are built around.
Unfortunately, it comes late enough into the 90-minute movie that when it does arrive, you’re left to wonder why the preceding hour-plus hasn’t had more of this spark. For Worse isn’t all bad; bits of it are intriguing and the rest is too anodyne to get worked up about. But it’s hard to shake the disappointment that this is just an okay movie, when it seems like it should’ve been a good one.

In life, things have to get a lot worse before they can get a little better. In “For Worse,” the versatile and immensely watchable “Transparent” star Amy Landecker’s good-natured narrative feature debut as a writer and director, life gets considerably chaotic for Lauren, a sober and recently divorced West Coast mom trying to give a different direction to her life with her newfound freedom.
It used to be that characters like Lauren — usually defined by that somewhat cringe-inducing and overused “women above a certain age” phrase — were a rarity in cinema. But these days — especially considering several terrific recent releases of all sizes like “Suze,” “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” “The Idea of You” and even “Babygirl” — we don’t seem to be living in that same cinematic world anymore, one that refused to acknowledge the existence, realities and complex sexual desires of women, well, above a certain age.

After making a name for herself in the popular Prime Video series Transparent, along with a series of great performances on stage and screen, actress Amy Landecker has decided to make the jump to directing. While her debut, For Worse, is not particularly original, it has the comedic voice and authentic perspective it needs to be a mostly charming comedy nevertheless.
For Worse Review
For Worse follows a newly divorced and sober woman who goes to a wedding with a much younger date, only to discover that this digs up some of her buried resentments and causes her to behave irresponsibly. Although the script is pretty unoriginal and rarely gut-bustingly funny, it’s a perfect example of the “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” approach to filmmaking.

One of the riskiest things an actor can do when they're starring on a hit TV show is to leave that show. It's not always the case, partially depending on the series in question, but when some TV actors have attempted to leap from the small screen elsewhere, they only end up squandering their chance. It's true, of course, that you can look at a guy like George Clooney, who had acted steadily for about a decade prior to his prominent role on the NBC hospital drama "ER" and was able to make the jump to the big screen ... eventually. But you can also look at David Caruso, who seemed to jump off the screen in the ABC police drama "NYPD Blue" in its first season, and then chose to leave the show to pursue a film career ... before heading back to the world of TV with the CBS procedural "CSI: Miami.

From action films like Pacific Rim Uprising to subtle dramas like Priscilla, Cailee Spaeny continues to experiment with a variety of challenging roles. In her latest movie,Alien: Romulus, the actress has showcased her potential to lead an iconic franchise. One of the most engaging aspects of Fede Alvarez's Alien: Romulus is the young cast. It evolves the franchise for modern viewers while showing nostalgics that different narratives can be told. In this case, it's a group of young scavengers who run into Xenomorphs rather than seasoned soldiers and experienced scientists.
This approach speaks to the wonder and inquisitive nature of youth. At the core of Romulus is Cailee Spaeny's Rain, who just wants a fresh start. As expected, Spaeny delivers range and impressive nods to Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley. She's certainly a character that sequels can be built around.

If you visit certain corners of social media every awards season, you're likely to see people bemoaning the fact that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences usually fails to recognize standout performances in the horror genre. You're likely to hear people calling for justice for Toni Collette's performance in "Hereditary," and Lupita Nyong'o's work in "Us," and Florence Pugh's turn in "Midsommar." Occasionally, though, a horror movie does break through and manage to pick up some Oscars recognition. After all, in 2018, Guillermo Del Toro's "The Shape of Water" took home Best Picture. Sure, it's a love story, but it's also a modern twist on classic Universal monster movies.

Image Source: Amazon The 80s. A time of big hair, bigger dreams and a cinematic landscape of teen adventures we’ll never forget. Among those classics, a shining star: 1987’s Adventures in Babysitting. It wasn’t just a movie, it was a rite of passage, a wild ride through a city that felt both dangerous and exhilarating. Remember the thrill? A night of babysitting, a desperate plea for help and suddenly Elisabeth Shue’s character Chris Parker is navigating the urban jungle with three kids in tow. It was the perfect blend of comedy, suspense and that unmistakable 80s energy. The movie’s magic wasn’t just in the story, but in the cast. Elisabeth Shue fresh from The Karate Kid anchored the film with a mix of vulnerability and strength. Keith Coogan, Anthony Rapp and Maia Brewton brought youthful authenticity to the roles. And check out the supporting cast!

It is a day for trailers. The latest is for the sixth and final season of The Handmaid's Tale, Hulu's adaptation of Margaret Atwood's dystopian novel about a totalitarian government that forces the few remaining women capable of bearing children to be slaves called handmaids. Technically, the show finished adapting Atwood's book pretty quickly, but it has gone on and on and on. Watch the trailer for the final episodes above.
We pick up with main character June (Elisabeth Moss), as she resolves once again to take down the the tyrannical state of Gilead, which rules over most of what used to be the United States. She's been at this for a while now, but we'll finally see whether she succeeds or fails, because at long last there is no time left.

The Handmaid’s Tale has been one of the most consistent TV series to premiere in the last ten years.
Yes, it’s consistently bleak, but it’s been one of the strongest shows on the air for a long time.
The big question for me has been whether it would stick the landing because it would be a real shame if the show did not go out in a blaze of glory.

Elisabeth Moss has been a revelation in the role of June Osborne, a performance that has earned her praise, awards, and everything in between.
But The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 indicated that June’s story was reaching its conclusion, and we likely don’t have too long to wait for answers.

Production is underway on Season 3 of The Diplomat, Netflix's political thriller starring Keri Russell (The Americans) as Ambassador Kate Wyler and Rufus Sewell (Dark City) as her husband, Hal. Allison Janney plays U.S. President Grace Penn, and in a stroke of casting genius, her The West Wing cast mate Bradley Whitford has been cast as Todd the First Husband.
Adding to The West Wing reunion is The Diplomat's creator, showrunner, and executive producer, Debora Cahn, who was also a producer and writer on the famous, multiple award-winning NBC political series. Cahn said of the casting of Whitford (via Netflix), “Brad was the fantasy version of Todd — for all of us. We still can’t believe it came true.”
And things are going to be quite interesting for the characters, as Cahn explained:
“Season 3 flips the chessboard. In Season 3, Kate lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want.

Jon Hamm has done plenty of voice acting over his career, but voicing 1950s FBI agent-turned-private investigator Jack Bergin has proven unique.
Instead of recording his lines in a silo, Hamm was joined in the recording studio by a murderer’s row of performers — including Alia Shawkat, Ana de la Reguera, Bradley Whitford, Giancarlo Esposito, Omar Epps, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Hamm’s “Mad Men” co-star John Slattery — for the Audible Original series 2022’s “The Big Lie” and the upcoming new installment “The Big Fix.”
“This is better in every way, but mostly because the story is so intimate that it’s super helpful to have the personal connection with the person that you’re acting opposite,” Hamm said, discussing the series, created by John Mankiewicz and directed by Aaron Lipstadt, during Variety & Audible’s Cocktails and Conversations at Sundance. Kate Wyler’s (Keri Russell) work overseas isn’t letting up. The Diplomatis coming back for a third season and, by the looks of it, things are about to get a lot more complicated as Bradley Whitford joins the cast.
“Season 3 flips the chessboard,” creator, showrunner, and executive producer Debora Cahn tells Tudum. “In Season 3, Kate lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want.”
Production on the new season is well underway in London and New York. “We’re shooting some stuff already in Season 3 that involves big groups and lots of people, and we do tend to rehearse those [scenes],” Russell said during a November episode of Netflix’s Skip Intro podcast. “It’s such rapid-fire diplomatic speak that we make sure that everyone’s on the same page and knows what we’re actually talking about.”

The Diplomat is returning for another season this year and, while Netflix hasn’t said quite yet when the new season will debut, they are finally giving audiences a glimpse.
The streamer released some first look photos on Thursday, which feature newest cast member Bradley Whitford, who Deadline previously reported will be reuniting with his former The West Wing co-star Allison Janney to play her husband and the First Gentleman of the United States.
The photos don’t reveal much about what’s to come, other than some expected interaction between Grace Penn (Janney), her husband Todd Penn (Whitford), Keri Russell’s Kate Wyler and Rufus Sewell’s Hal Wyler.
One of the photos features all four of them standing in someone’s home staring at a tray of oysters. In that photo, as well as one other, Whitford’s character has a bandage wrapped around one of his hands...
