Biography

In 1982, he started walking across the United States from coast to coast on his hands. It took 3 years, 8 months, and 6 days.

Became a marathon participant using his arms. He is the only double amputee to finish the Ironman triathlon without a wheelchair.

Vietnam War veteran who lost his legs to a landmine in 1969.
