The 1996 comedy movie Bulletproof is getting a direct-to-video sequel sequel next month which trades in Damon Wayans and Adam Sandler for new actors in the same roles. Called Bulletproof 2, the movie will be released next month on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on Jan. 7, 2020. Released in 1996, the original Bulletproof was directed by Ernest Dickerson using a screenplay by Joe Gayton and Lewis Colick. It starred Damon Wayans as Jack, an undercover police officer, alongside Adam Sandler as Moses, a dimwitted criminal. When Moses accidentally shoots Jack in the head upon his arrest, the officer miraculously recovers and is tasked with keeping Moses safe from harm long enough to have him testify again a drug kingpin played by James Caan. James Farentino, Jeep Swenson, and Kristen Wilson also starred.

I guess I am the resident Dungeons & Dragons expert here at Geeks of Doom, so when the new 2-disc Blu-ray combo pack of Dungeons & Dragons and D&D: Wrath of the Dragon God came across our desk, I was the first one offered to check them out. I’ve never seen these movies before, but I know of them by reputation, and I was curious to see if they lived up to those reputations. All I really wanted out of them was a decent adventure movie that at least gave a tip of its hat to the popular roleplaying game. What I got was one decent adventure movie, and one really bad but really goofy adventure movie.

Denis Hyland ("Rocky Horror Show," "Equus,") plays Jack the super smooth proprietor of the Reefer Den, with Mary Falconer ("The Best Man," "Urinetown") playing Mae - the long-suffering hostess of the Den. Nulita Loder ("Urinetown," "My Way") plays Sally, the seductive Reefer Slut, and Michael Aaglan ("The Best Man") plays Ralph, a former fraternity man who's become a giggling reefer addict. Ashley Scott and Kristen Wilson have nabbed the female leads in MGM's updated version of the 1973 actioner Walking Tall for director Kevin Bray and Hyde Park Entertainment. Shooting is scheduled to start in July. Walking Tall centers on a Tennessee sheriff (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and his one-man mission to remove corruption from his county. Neal McDonough also stars as Hamilton, the main nemesis to Johnson's character and the man at the center of the corruption. Scott will play the sheriff's love interest in the small town, and Wilson will play his sister. David Klass wrote the update of the project. Hyde Park Entertainment's Ashok Amritraj and Mandeville Films' David Hoberman are producing Walking Tall with Lucas Foster and Jim Burke. Keith Samples is executive producing the project. Scott, repped by UTA, Original Management's Jonathan Perry and attorney Marcy Morris, is best known for her role on the short-lived WB Network series Birds of Prey. She recently completed a role in Columbia Pictures' S.W.A.T. and the indie horror film Trespassing.
