The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again just made its premiere on Disney+ earlier this month (you can read our review Here), but season 2 of the show already started filming at the end of February. We previously heard that Deborah Ann Woll would be back as Matt Murdock’s friend and law office partner Karen Page in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and now Woll has been spotted on set, in character, hanging out with Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock. Also spotted on set were members of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, who were giving a character played by Annie Parisse (Law & Order) a hard time. The images can be seen in the embeds below.
Although the initial plan was to rework some elements and make Daredevil: Born Again stand separate from the Netflix Daredevil series (despite sharing some cast members), the show underwent a creative...

Scream 7 started filming at the start of January, and we’ve seen some surprising reports about the slasher sequel as it has made its way through production – with the most surprising and strange news being that Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley, who played Ghostface killers who were killed off in Scream (1996) and Scream 3, respectively, and David Arquette, whose beloved character Dewey lost his life in Scream (2022), are all in the cast. During an appearance on Good Morning America, Foley admitted that, like many Scream fans, he isn’t sure how his return actually works.
Foley said, with thanks to Deadline for the transcription, “I don’t know how it works out. Spoiler alert! 25 years ago I was the killer in Scream 3 and he was brutally taken to town and killed. And now I’m back in Scream 7 and I’m not sure how it’s going to work.

The popular slasher series Scream will continue with the upcoming Scream 7. The new installment will bring back a series of beloved legacy characters, as well as many characters who have died in previous installments.
While details about the plot of the upcoming Scream 7 are scarce, the new slasher will feature several returning actors, whose characters have died. Among them are also previous Ghostface stars, who were the serial killers in each installment. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his latest film, Novocaine, Jack Quaid addressed a possible return to Scream 7.
Quaid starred in 2022's Scream, a reboot of the original series, where he played Richie Kirsch. The new film series echoed the original films and, similar to the first entry, Richie was Tara's boyfriend, just like Billy Loomis and Sydney Prescott in the first installment. In the end, it was revealed that Richie and...

Scream 3's infamous Ghostface resoundingly met his maker at the hands of Neve Campbell and company in the classic 2000 film, so it came as a surprise to many horror fans when the news broke that Scott Foley would return for director Kevin Williamson’s Scream 7. In fact, Foley himself is as confused as the fandom is when it comes to how his character, Roman Bridger, will return from the dead.
Regardless, the Felicity and Scandal actor tried to coyly answer that burning question during a new interview while appearing on Good Morning America by saying:

A great villain can make or break a film and they have been a staple of storytelling since the dawn of cinema. There have been hundreds of incredible, iconic villains audiences have loved to hate. Some movies are even so rich as to have more than one of these incredible foes.
Villains can be used to gain a different perspective, or sometimes simply be agents of chaos to shake up the tale. No matter what, villains add so much flavor to a film, and more than one can be even more fun.

While thrilled about his return, Scott Foley admits he's still not sure how his Scream 7return is going to work. Plot details remain unclear for the latest installment in the slasher horror franchise, though the movie is set to be a more direct sequel to the Sidney Prescott-focused films, as everyone from Courteney Cox's Gale Weathers to David Arquette's Dewey Riley are returning alongside Neve Campbell. Scream 7 is also being helmed by Kevin Williamson, the creator of the series and scribe of the first two and fourth movies.

While Stephen King is rightfully known as the Master of Horror, the prolific novelist could just as easily be called the Master of Feels. After all, without King, there is no Stand By Me, no The Shawshank Redemption, no The Green Mile. It makes sense then that Mike Flanagan, whose propensity for combining horror and heartfelt storytelling has made the likes of Midnight Mass and The Haunting Of Hill House unmissable, has proven one of King's best adapters. And having done both Doctor Sleep and Gerald's Game great justice on screen already, Flanagan's latest King movie, Tom Hiddleston starrer The Life Of Chuck, looks set to be one of his most emotional works yet. And you can catch a glimpse at the film below;

Ready for another spooky Stephen King adaptation from Mike Flanagan? Well too bad! With “The Life of Chuck,” Flanagan is only bringing the feels. Sure, the specter of death looms large over the Tom Hiddleston-led drama — plus its interest in the otherworldly is clear — but the story forgoes King’s usual frights for a far more straightforward and sentimental tale of all the vital and divine components that make up a life.
In IndieWire’s review out of TIFF, where “The Life of Chuck” won the People’s Choice Award, critic Katie Rife wrote, “Structured around a verse from Walt Whitman’s ‘Song of Myself’ — ‘Do I contradict myself? For the third time in eight years, director Mike Flanagan is adapting Stephen King’s work as a feature film. Flanagan’s first two collaborations with King — Gerald’s Game and Doctor Sleep — were both horror stories. But The Life of Chuck is something else altogether. The newly released teaser trailer lightly acknowledges that it isn’t a scary story by citing some of King’s previous forays outside of horror, including Stand by Me, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Green Mile. What it doesn’t answer is the question hanging over the film: Who is Chuck?
Tom Hiddleston plays Chuck as an adult, while Jacob Tremblay and Benjamin Pajak portray younger versions. There is an ominous quality to the trailer, which unfolds to the rhythm of a ticking of a clock. Following the film winning the TIFF People’s Choice Award last fall, audiences are getting their first official look at Mike Flanagan’s life-affirming flick “The Life of Chuck.”

Jack Quaid addresses the possibility of reprising his role in the highly anticipated Scream 7. With Scream veterans Kevin Williamson and Guy Busick at the helm, the seventh installment of the horror franchise is set for a harrowing return with Neve Campbell's Sidney Prescott once again leading the charge against the enduring murders and mystery of the iconic masked killer Ghostface. Quaid's character, Richie Kirsch, was unveiled as one of the Ghostface killers in the 2022 reboot. Scream 7 is set to arrive in theaters on February 27, 2026.
In a recent interview with Et Online, Quaid responded to questions about his potential involvement in Scream 7. Quaid’s Ghostface reveal in Scream was an interesting twist for the slasher franchise, largely due to his established reputation as an awkward, yet charming actor in roles like The Boys and Star Trek: Lower Decks. His latest role in Companion continues to weaponize his "nice guy" persona.

Science fiction films are a staple of modern Hollywood's slate of blockbusters, with franchises that feature space-faring adventure, futuristic technology and other-worldly creatures being some of the highest-grossing movies of the last few decades. Science fiction movies also have a long history in Hollywood, dating all the way back to the classic films of Geroge Mellies like A Trip to the Moon.
But many science fiction films do not stand the test of time, or fail to meet the expectations of audiences on release, as evidenced by Roger Ebert's scathing reviews of many of the films he had to see in that genre. The worst that science fiction movies have to offer throw away the genre's roots in telling tales about deep themes, replacing human stories with cheap thrills.

Ghostface will have his/her choice of characters to question about their favorite scary movies when Scream 7 finally hits theaters in February 2026. Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox’s Gale Weathers are the only two living survivors from director Wes Craven’s 1996 film returning. However, Woodsboro’s masked serial killer will come up against plenty of new blood, too, including the film's newest addition, Landman and 1923’sfan-favorite star, Michelle Randolph.
It’s unclear who Randolph will portray in the latest Scream installment, but she will be rubbing elbows with some of the horror franchise’s crème de la crème. In addition to Campbell and Cox, several other actors from earlier entries are returning for another go-round with Ghostface — even though their respective characters are presumably dead — more on that shortly.

Scream 7 is well into production, but that doesn’t mean a couple more potential victims (or killers) can’t be added to the cast, as Deadline reports that Michelle Randolph and Jimmy Tatro have signed on.
Randolph has been making big waves as the breakout star of Taylor Sheridan’s Landman, where she plays the daughter of Billy Bob Thornton’s character. She also has a main role in another Sheridan series, 1923. As for Tatro, he’s best known for American Vandal, The Real Bros of Simi Valley, and starring alongside Topher Grace in Home Economics.

Deadline reports that David Arquette is set to return as former police deputy Dewey Riley in the seventh Scream movie... despite being pretty soundly murdered by Mikey Madison's Ghostface in the fifth instalment.
Dewey is just the latest character to be "resurrected" for the next film in the classic slasher franchise, although he is the first not to have terrorized our protagonists as Ghostface.
Earlier this year, the trades reported on a couple of casting additions that left fans scratching their heads. We learned that one of the two Og Ghostfaces, Matthew Lillard's Stuart ‘Stu’ Macher, would return for the next film despite being killed-off in the first Scream after being stabbed several times and having a TV dropped on his head. Then, reports came in that Scott Foley would also be back as Scream 3's Ghostface Roman Bridger - also definitively dispatched.
Are these characters somehow still alive,...

Scream 7will somehow bring someone else back from the dead, and it's a name that will please fans...although confusion is bound to be in play regarding how this character returns. No details were revealed about how his character returns and plot details are pretty scarce about the film itself, but director Kevin Williamson and writer Guy Busick better have something pretty brilliant up their sleeves to make this make sense. David Arquette will return as Dewey Riley in writer-director Kevin Williamson’s meta horror sequel, Scream 7.
Nb: The following contains spoilers for Scream (1996) and Scream 5 (2022).
Following a pre-production phase we’ll describe as ‘eventful’, meta horror sequel Scream 7 is currently filming. Meanwhile, another familiar name has been added to the cast: David Arquette, Variety reports, is to reprise his role as Woodsboro deputy sheriff, Dewey Riley.
Arquette isn’t the only actor from Scream past to make a surprise reappearance in the sequel. In January, not long after cameras began rolling on writer-director Kevin Williamson’s seventh entry, Matthew Lillard was said to be coming back as Stu. They’ll join series regulars Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox among the cast, which also includes Mckenna Grace, Scott Foley, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown.

David Arquette will reprise his role as Dewey Riley in Scream 7, despite the character’s death in Scream (2022). He joins Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley, both of whom also played characters previously killed in the franchise. The decision adds intrigue to the latest installment, though details on how these characters return remain undisclosed.
Arquette first portrayed Dewey in Scream (1996), playing the well-intentioned deputy sheriff of Woodsboro. Over the years, he became a survivor of multiple Ghostface attacks and a central figure in the franchise. His relationship with journalist Gale Weathers, played by Courteney Cox, was a key part of the series until Dewey was killed in the fifth film by Amber Freeman (Mikey Madison). The character’s demise was met with mixed reactions from longtime fans. Cox previously commented on the decision, saying, “Dewey is so loved by Scream fans. They have to figure it out.”
Lillard and Foley’s return raises further questions.

That, or Sidney Prescott being hounded by AI and deepfakes. Why do I say that? Because David Arquette has just joined the cast of Scream 7 as none other than Deputy Dewey Riley, a previous main character in the film series who was violently killed off in the fifth Scream.

The news comes from Deadline, although the outlet says all other details about the character are being kept under wraps. All we know for now is that the three dead characters returning—which includes Scott Foley as Roman Bridger and Matthew Lillard as Stu Macher—will...
