The 1993 modern Western hit Tombstonefollows the true story of the infamous Gunfight at the O.K. Corral and the Earp Vendetta Ride that took place in Arizona in the 1880s. Like most media based on real events, people, and places, the filming location is one of the most important parts of maintaining historical accuracy and viewer immersion. Tombstone involves a star-studded ensemble cast, including leads Kurt Russell as famous gunslinger Wyatt Earp, Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday, Michael Biehn as Johnny Ringo, and Sam Elliot as Wyatt's brother, Virgil.

The film depicts the real-life conflict between Wyatt's crew and a group of heavies known as The Cowboys. While not everything in the movie is perfectly accurate to what really happened, it expertly blends fact and fiction among several historical events during that time period. But the major factor of believability comes from its Arizona filming locations, which establish the narrative's overall realism.

The Spider-Man 4 rumors have been picking up steam since it was announced that Stranger Things breakout Sadie Sink has joined the cast of the movie in a mysterious lead role, and a new casting call doing the rounds online (via Daniel Richtman) has amped speculation up to another level.

Sink's character is described as "a sharp and free-spirited woman with a mysterious past. Strong-willed, intelligent, and not easily intimidated."

Any number of Marvel Comics heroes and villains could potentially fit the bill here. There's been some chatter about Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, but the prevailing theory is that Sink will play a new take on Mary Jane Watson. The X-Men's Jean Grey is another possibility, but it's looking increasingly likely that this initial rumor sprang from crossed wires about which project Sink was in talks for.

Aside from Tom Holland and Zendaya, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is the only actor to have officially joined the cast of Spider-Man 4. As a result, speculation about her role in the movie continues to run rampant, especially as she was initially rumoured to be in line for Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot as Jean Grey.

After the billion-dollar hit of "Spider-Man: No Way Home," the fourth Tom Holland-led Spidey movie has been surprisingly slow-moving. But it is in the works, and targeting a July 2026 release date. There's been no confirmed villain and, truthfully, the Spider-Man films have already gone through his major adversaries. "No Way Home" even brought back past villains for a multiversal Sinister Six. That probably cools the chances of us getting a Marvel Cinematic Universe-original Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, etc. for now.

Kraven the Hunter has been the perennial "they'll definitely do him in the next movie" pick since back when Andrew Garfield was still going to get his "Amazing Spider-Man 3." Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is another MCU movie that was in a constant state of flux while shooting. Neither director Sam Raimi nor writer Michael Waldron had seen WandaVision when work on the sequel began, leading to a take on the Scarlet Witch that disappointed many fans.

The last time we saw Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, she had broken bad and was seemingly crushed beneath Mount Wundagore. The expectation is that she'll return in Avengers: Doomsday and rumour has it the hero will be allied with Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom.

The Playlist recently spoke with Olsen for her new movie The Assessment and wondered whether the Scarlet Witch's villainous turn was always planned or whether it was a decision made during additional photography.

"I actually wasn’t a part of the reshoots," she confirmed. "I was filming [HBO’s limited series] 'Love and Death.' So, what I did is what stayed.

Review: Locked is my favorite kind of film: one that relies solely on its lead and an interesting concept to fill out the entire runtime. It never goes off the beaten path and breaks the promise of the premise, which would have been so easy to do. Instead, it executes the basic premise in a way that excites and thrills over its 90-minute runtime. Add in some fantastic performances and you’ve got the makings for one of the most entertaining thrillers of the year.

Locked starts with Eddie (Skarsgård) as he’s looking for an easy score. He seems to find it in the form of an unlocked Svu parked in a random car park. But when he gets in, he discovers that all the doors are locked, and he’s completely trapped.

It’s not Sadie Sink that’s going to be the villain in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. Call it luck or a series of unfortunate events, but there are talks of who is going to be cast in Holland’s upcoming magnum opus, and Sadie Sink is not in it.

The Assessment is a brand new sci-fi thriller from Magnolia Pictures, starring Elizabeth Olsen, Alicia Vikander, and Himesh Patel in the lead roles as three people that find their lives intertwined in a very unique way.

Taking place in a near-dystopian future, the film follows a couple named Mia (Olsen) and Aaryan (Patel), who must pass a seven-day test to prove their viability as parents. They're assigned an assessor named Virginia (Vikander), who challenges them with a variety of unimaginable situations that put their relationship to the test.

This is one of three expected releases for Olsen this year. She's already wrapped the David Freyne-directed romantic comedy Eternity, where she stars opposite Miles Teller and Callum Turner, and is currently filming the Sam Esmail thriller Panic Carefully opposite Julia Roberts, Eddie Redmayne, and Brian Tyree Henry.

There are few horror franchises that have as rabid a fan base as Evil Dead. The Sam Raimi franchise has seen five film installments, a TV series and a recent hit video game that has introduced a new generation of fans to Ash Williams. The original film in this deadite-based nightmare, The Evil Dead, just celebrated the 40th anniversary of its theatrical release last year. Now, fans can bid on the film's original deadly props. Bruce Campbell first gained attention in the horror world when he starred as Ash Williams in the cult classic The Evil Dead in 1981. The ending of episode 3 saw a masked man dressed with a Punisher symbol shoot the vigilante White Tiger in the head. The symbol has come up on many occasions in the series already and it is only a matter of time before Frank Castle makes his appearance. Director Sam Raimi and actor Bruce Campbell have worked on four "Evil Dead" film and TV projects together. I needn't reiterate "The Evil Dead" and "Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn," as the cultists know them well. However, something happened after Raimi and Campbell made "Army of Darkness" in 1992, completing Ash's arc in the process. That film was distributed by Universal, which positioned it to gain a crossover audience. Sadly, though, it didn't do well at the box office, but became a massive cult hit. The actual narrative throughline of the "Evil Dead" movies is a little hazy throughout, and each new movie might serve as a soft reboot of the one that came before it. The ending of one movie doesn't clearly link to the next, and the main character of Ash (Bruce Campbell) doesn't seem to learn or grow from his experiences. Indeed, Ash only appears to get dumber and more selfish with every outing. "Spider-Man" and its sequels are as heightened as the original comics, whereas "Daredevil" prides itself on being a gritty crime drama. It comes down to the moments spent with ordinary New Yorkers.
