Star Trek actors Jonathan Frakes, Armin Shimerman, Kitty Swink, and John Billingsley, along with Juan Carlos Coto, brother of Manny Coto, the late Star Trek: Enterprise writer, showrunner, and executive producer, will once again join forces in support of PurpleStride Los Angeles. The annual walk, to be held on April 26, is part of a larger national effort called PanCAN PurpleStride, which aims to end pancreatic cancer and raise awareness of the disease. PanCAN stands for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
Pancreatic cancer has hit home for several of the Star Trek figures mentioned above. Swink is something of a miracle story, as she is a 21-year survivor of the frequently deadly disease. She guest starred in two Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes, playing Rozahn in “Sanctuary” and Luaran in “Tacking Into the Wind.” Fans also know her as a frequent convention attendee, with her table always next to that of DS9’s Quark,...

War has been one of the quintessential experiences of human life on the planet since the beginning of time, and this is why the war movie genre continues to produce a plethora of cinematic hits. War movies usually depict historical battles in terms of which side was victorious and which side was defeated—the men or women who earned medals pinned to their uniforms, and the ones whose names are engraved on memorial walls. In the end, it's about the winners and the losers.
But war is rarely reduced to such simple terms and is, in fact, devastating, brutal and senseless. Some of the most beloved and watched war movies of all time completely capture this reality. They show that war often takes too many innocent lives, erases entire cultures and indigenous peoples, and exacts a heavy toll on even the most courageous heroes.

Liam Neeson has appeared in over 100 feature films since making his big-screen debut 47 years ago in an adaptation of John Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress." He spent the 1980s making his bones via supporting performances in high-profile movies like "Excalibur," "The Bounty," "The Dead Pool," but it was his lively portrayal of a hell-raising hill person in the Patrick Swayze revenge vehicle "Next of Kin" that made Hollywood perk up and take notice. The following year, Sam Raimi cast Neeson as Peyton Westlake aka Darkman, but it wasn't until Steven Spielberg entrusted the Irish actor with the title role in "Schindler's List" that he was off and running as a movie star.
When Neeson surprised moviegoers in 2008 by thriving as an action star in "Taken," he leaned heavily into the bit. Two sequels followed, as did "The A-Team," "Unknown," "Non-Stop," and "Run All Night." For more serious-minded fans of Neeson's work,...

Tom Cruise Once Revealed He Got Sick Of Eating Chocolate Cakes For Three Days(Photo Credit – Instagram)
Tom Cruise is known for doing mind-boggling stunts on screen, from jumping from a multi-storeyed building and planes to several other things. He has been doing that since the beginning and has often shared stories from the past. He once revealed how he had to eat chocolate cake for three days, becoming sick. It was for Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders. Keep scrolling for the deets.
Some of the dangerous stunts performed by the Hollywood star include climbing the Burj Khalifa, hanging from the side of an Airbus A400M, performing a high-altitude, low-opening jump, motorcycle chase without a helmet, helicopter chase, and much more. He is famous for pushing the limits of safety and physical endurance.
For the unversed, The Outsiders is a 1983 movie, an adaptation of the 1967 novel of the same name by Se Hinton.

In 2011, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (2011) introduced audiences across the globe to the God of Thunder himself, Thor Odinson. More importantly, Thor's live-action debut put its star, Chris Hemsowrth, on the map and turned him into a superstar.Thor has its own fair share of shortcomings, but Chris Hemsworth wasn't one of them. Different studios realized this, and quickly released films with Hemsworth in the lead. One such film was the 2012 remake of the controversial action classic, Red Dawn.
But even with Hemsworth's star power and the fact that he had four major films in 2012, the Red Dawn remake was unanimously declared to be one of the worst films of its year. The only interesting thing about this remake is that, thanks to a technicality, it wasn't the film that introduced audiences to Hemsworth. Red Dawn was actually Hemsworth's first real leading role, and it was so bad that it...

Comedy legend Colin Quinn once thought that stand-up would be his stepping stone to movie stardom, but Hollywood ripped that dream away from him faster than Patrick Swayze tore out that guy’s throat.
The concept of “paying your dues” in Hollywood is one that most every up-and-comer understands. With an exceedingly select few non-nepo-baby exceptions, nobody lands that great, meaty, big-break-worthy leading role on their first attempt at breaking into the entertainment industry, and successful actors need to work their way up to the big time with some foot-in-the-door performances. For an aspiring star with a sense of humor, becoming a touring stand-up comedian is an effective avenue toward acting gigs, but Quinn, who has been down that road before, warns that the final destination may not be worth it after all.

After everything he’s been through, is this really how King Charles’ reign will end?
Buckingham Palace announced in February of last year that Charles had been diagnosed with cancer, but officials did not offer any specifics with regard to the severity of his condition or the organs affected.
The same went for Kate Middleton after she announced her cancer diagnosis. For whatever reason, the royals have decided to keep their conditions under their hats — or, under their crowns, if you like.
However, insiders claim that Charles’ prognosis is an “open secret” among royal staffers, and that those closest to him know exactly what kind of cancer he’s battling.
And he is, truly, in for the fight of his life.

Born in 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico, Demi Moore wasn't raised in the most stable of households. Despite familial troubles, at the age of 19, Moore secured a regular role in the long-running soap opera General Hospital. From there, Moore rose to prominence as a member of "The Brat Pack", a media-bunched group of young actors deemed rebellious and rough-edged. It was a reputation upheld by one of her earliest feature appearances in St. Elmo's Fire. It was in 1990 that Moore became a household name after her lead role in Ghost, where she starred alongside Patrick Swayze.

Liam Neeson is, if nothing else, a very candid interview subject. Sometimes he's candid to a problematic fault. Regardless of how you feel about the man, however, you cannot accuse him of giving canned answers, which is what renders too many interviews unworthy of a reader's time.
With a film acting career that spans over 40 years, stretching back to his portrayal of the knight Gawain in John Boorman's Arthurian "Excalibur," the Irish-born Neeson has put together a career that prompts many questions. He went Hollywood early, and seemed stuck in a rut acting in forgettable films like "Suspect," "Satisfaction," and "The Good Mother." I didn't really take measure of him as a performer until he played Patrick Swayze's vengeful, incredibly lethal hillbilly brother in "Next of Kin." His high-pitched voice and not-entirely-hidden Irish lilt is actually perfect for an Appalachian hill person, and even though the film is just a studio programmer,...

End of Watch was a gritty and realistic cop thriller that became a critical and box office hit when it was released in 2012. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Brian Taylor and Michael Peña as Mike Zavala, the film features the two LAPD partners as they work in South Central Los Angeles. Written and directed by David Ayer, the movie really shows the bond between the two young officers. It's now getting a second life on Max where it sits at number five in the top 10 and even climbed as high as the number two spot.
The movie follows Taylor and Peña as they perform their duties and things take a turn when a cartel targets them. Ayer grew up in South Central L.A. and has written several films about corrupt officers working at the LAPD. But for End of Watch, he wanted to showcase two honest and dedicated officers. Ahead of its 2012 release,...

Is there a kernel of truth to the notion that "popcorn stars" don't win Oscars? It certainly felt that way to fans hoping to see Demi Moore pull off a Best Actress victory at the 2025 Oscars. Her daring performance as Elisabeth Sparkle in The Substance had earned her a Golden Globe, Critics Choice, and SAG Award, putting her in frontrunner position as she arrived at the 97th Academy Awards on March 2. But suddenly, those hopes were dashed when Emma Stone read out the winner: Mikey Madison in Anora.
It wasn't unfamiliar to see one of the biggest box-office draws from decades past lose the big one. Perhaps the Academy couldn't see past what Moore had once been told she was — a popcorn actress. She addressed the demeaning title in her Golden Globes acceptance speech nearly two months prior, stating that a producer called her a “popcorn actress” 30 years ago, which...

In 2002, the satirical comedyWaking Up in Reno hit theaters, bringing together an impressive cast, including Billy Bob Thornton, Patrick Swayze and Charlize Theron. The film’s premise - a road trip comedy centered on two couples dealing with adultery and the complications of long-term relationships – held potential. But despite its star power and seemingly promising plot, the film fell flat, becoming one of the most notable box-office failures of the year.
What could have been a comical study of marital tension and personal growth instead resulted in a muddled plot that never quite knew whether it was satire or slapstick. The film's awkward humor and drama left audiences disengaged, failing to deliver genuine laughs and instead opting for tired clichés and forced scenarios. What should have been a sharp comedy ended up as a wasted opportunity.

What is the net worth of Demi Moore?
From her early days starring in St. Elmo’s Fire to her Brat Pack era to her much more recent full-frontal nude scene in The Substance, she is a Hollywood legend.
She has worked for decades, costarred with and even married other A-listers, and entertained generations.
After all of that, we certainly hope that she’s rolling in dough.

According to online estimates — which we would always be wise to view as educated guesses — Demi Moore’s net worth is around $200 million in 2024.
That is an impressive fortune, even by A-list actor standards.
Her wealth makes her a standout. But then, so does her career, her beauty, and her acting talent.

Before Whoopi Goldberg became a powerhouse of political commentary and comedy on The View, she lit up the big screen with unforgettable movie roles.
While Whoopi quickly settled into her role as moderator on The View, she often continues her acting career on Broadway or the big screen for movies.
Everyone remembers her for her roles in Ghost, alongside Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, Sister Act, and The Color Purple.
Whoopi won an Academy Award for her role in Ghost, then went on to win Golden Globes for both Ghost and The Color Purple, but not all of her roles were fan favorites.
One of her lesser-known roles in a television miniseries is getting noticed before Whoopi’s presentation at the Oscars this year.
A Facebook group brought up one of Whoopi’s roles, this time in the 1999 fantasy television miniseries The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns, where she plays the Grand Banshee.

Many actors have walked through the revolving door of the NCIS Major Case Response Team's Navy Yard headquarters. Some of them have been relatively fresh faces, but "NCIS" has also filled many roles with actors who had plenty of pedigree even before they joined the show. Actors like Mark Harmon, David McCallum (Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard), Lauren Holly (Director Jenny Shepard), Gary Cole (Alden Parker), and Wilmer Valderrama (Nick Torres) had all tasted success in previous projects before "NCIS," but even they pale in comparison to one name who was once considered for a big role in the show: Jennifer Aniston.
In a joint oral history interview with The Hollywood Reporter, several makers of the show discussed casting, and they revealed that Aniston's name was once on the table to play the tragic Caitlin Todd, a role that ultimately went to Sasha Alexander. Given the sad news that Gene Hackman, the most legendary of all actors, has passed away, tributes will (appropriately) be coming in non-stop. After all, he was the greatest of the greats, and the fact that he retired relatively early (back in 2004) adds to his mystique, as he went out at the top of his game. Given his rich legacy of work, everyone will no doubt be offering tributes to his best movies, like Unforgiven, The French Connection, The Royal Tenenbaums, and many more. Here at JoBlo, we’re gonna do something a little different and pay tribute to the star by singling out some of his lesser-seen films, hoping that maybe fans of his find something on this list they haven’t seen before and can enjoy for the first time!

Paramount+’s School Spirits season two episode seven, the season’s penultimate, opens just minutes after Simon left Janet alone on the dock. Simon, Nicole, and Xavier desperately search for Janet, while Mr. Martin (in Mr. Anderson’s body) and Janet are in a rowboat on the lake.
Mr. Martin claims they both have second chances now, but Janet isn’t convinced. She wants to give Maddie back her body. Frustrated, Mr. Martin insists they need to stick together; they’ve been a team for 66 years. Maybe stealing bodies and getting new lives gives them a chance to make a difference.

Bruce Vilanch is a walking oxymoron: a legendary ghostwriter best known for feeding one-liners to hosts and presenters at the Academy Awards, Grammys, Emmys and Tonys. He’s worked on the Oscars off and on since 1989, the year of the infamous Rob Lowe-Snow White … whatever the hell that was. The title of the 77-year-old’s new tell-all, It Seemed Like a Bad Idea at the Time (out March 4 from Chicago Review Press), refers to that and other TV trainwrecks he’s been affiliated with. But if you’re going to blame him for, say, The Star Wars Holiday Special or The Paul Lynde Halloween Special, then you should credit him for all the genuinely hilarious Oscar night quips you never realized were his. Ahead of the 97th Academy Awards, Vilanch offers his unvarnished opinion of past hosts and reveals the best joke he ever had to cut.

Patrick Swayze was one of a kind. He’s the only actor I can think of who was as comfortable cutting a rug on the dance floor as demolishing a room full of bad guys with his fists of fury. When he passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2009, we lost an icon who was never really recognized as the legend he is in his time. In the years since many Patrick Swayze movies have become cult favourites, and with a Road House remake recently a hit, we decided now would be a good time to pick the five best Patrick Swayze movies.
Red Dawn (1984)
John Millius’s cold war “what if” thriller goes down in the history books as the first-ever PG-13 movie. It was also Patrick Swayze’s first major leading role, with him best known up to this point for a supporting role in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders.

Movie Legend: George Lucas once claimed that Jar-Jar Binks was on Alderaan when the planet was destroyed by the Death Star.
Few characters in the history of the Star Wars franchise have gotten quite as much negative attention as Ahmed Best's Jar-Jar Binks, a major supporting character introduced in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, who was intended by writer/director George Lucas to be the comic relief character in the film. Things got so bad that Best later revealed that he considered dying by suicide at the time, posting on social media in 2018 at the bridge he considered jumping from with his young son, noting, "20 years next year I faced a media backlash that still affects my career today. This was the place I almost ended my life. It's still hard to talk about. I survived and now this little guy is my gift for survival.

This was the place I almost ended my life. It's still hard to talk about. I survived and now this little guy is my gift for survival.

Keanu Reeves. Probably one of the most popular actors in the industry today, who is loved by millions. He’s an unlikely icon in every sense and has helped define eras in Hollywood, from his teen days to his action-star period. The internet can’t seem to get enough of him, and his very image started the Sad Keanu posts, the wholesome Keanu memes, and the never-ending irresistible fandom.

Demi Moore’s SAG Awards win for outstanding performance by a leading female actor on Sunday may be another stepping stone on her path to Oscar semi-inevitability, but what stands out has been her transparency and owning of her narrative, as exhibited in acceptance speeches that connect the dots from “that little girl who didn’t believe in herself” to her current stature as an icon of longevity.
It’s understandable to still be in awe of her Golden Globes speech for The Substance. Looking radiant on the stage, the actress eschewed a list of thank-yous to eloquently address the movie’s message about female insecurities. Let’s read the words: “I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know, you will never be enough. But you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.'”

Many actors have a sliding doors moment in their career when they pass up a choice role in a soon-to-be iconic movie. For some, it isn't a huge deal. Denzel Washington, for example, already had two Oscar nominations and one win under his belt by the time he decided he didn't want to star in David Fincher's "Se7en." Sure, he later came to regret turning away one of the defining films of the '90s, but he was already an established star and would be just fine without it. That isn't always the case when an actor hasn't quite built up the body of work to go around rejecting great parts –- just take Henry Winkler and Danny Zuko in "Grease."
Winkler was virtual unknown when he won the chance to play Fonzie on "Happy Days." Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli started out as a minor supporting character but quickly...

Whoopi Goldberg has made a name for herself as one of the most beloved comic actors in the industry. The Oscar winner has given many memorable performances throughout her career. However, her role in Ghost still stands out.

Well, obviously, since it got her the much sought-after Academy Award. Interestingly, what many don’t know, though, is she credits a huge part of her success to a medical condition that made her childhood miserable.
Although she has spoken of it many times, her words from an interview from 2016 still remind people that blessings can sometimes truly come in disguise.

Born as Cayn Johnson, Whoopi Goldberg is known for wearing many hats throughout her career. While her comedian and actor persona is rightfully world-famous, her books, too, have been known to touch many people’s hearts.

During Sunday’s “SNL50,” Tom Hanks deadpanned the opening of what seemed to be an in memoriam segment, but instead of tributes to past cast members, it played tribute to comedy that didn’t age well and wouldn’t play well today.
“As we celebrate the achievements of the past 50 years, we must also take a moment to honor those who we’ve lost,” Hanks began. “Countless members of the ‘SNL’ family taken from us too soon. I’m talking of course about ‘SNL’ characters and sketches that have aged horribly. But even though these characters, accents and … let’s just call them ‘ethnic’ wigs were unquestionably in poor taste, you all laughed at them. So if anyone should be canceled, shouldn’t it be you, the audience? Something to think about. Anyway, we now present to you this in memoriam.”
The segment was split until numerous subsections for the clips,...

Stephen King's Misery has become a free streaming hit after dropping on Tubi a few weeks ago. Other titles currently vying for attention on the platform include the Wesley Snipes thriller, Murder at 1600, Patrick Swayze's 80s hit, Road House, and the demonically delightful Megan Fox horror movie, Jennifer's Body.
Written by American playwright William Goldman, and directed by Rob Reiner, Misery is based on the 1987 novel of the same name by Stephen King. Classic Patrick Swayze action movie Road House is kicking butt in the Tubi Top 10. While the film recently received the obligatory remake, with Jake Gyllenhaal stepping into the role previously occupied by the beloved actor, the 1989 original is proving that despite its harsh reviews from critics, the masculine movie can still draw in an audience.
This cult favorite is directed by Rowdy Herrington, and saw Swayze at his charismatic best as bouncer James Dalton, who takes his job at the refurbished Double Deuce roadside bar seriously enough to expand his reach to protecting the small town of Jasper, Missouri against the corrupt businessman Frank Tilghman. With plenty of brutal brawls, sub-plots of redemption, and Swayze’s swagger at an all-time high, the film has continued to be a presence in pop culture for decades - even becoming a running joke in Seth MacFarlane’s Family Guy. Road House!

Movie Legend: Patrick Swayze was hit by a real log during the filming of a fight sequence in Road House.
Something that filmmakers have been struggling with for over a century now is how to create the best sense of verisimilitude for their audience. The issue, of course, is that one of the easiest ways to create a sense of verisimilitude is to just, you know, actually do the thing that you're filming. Luckily for the safety of animals over the years, filmmakers' desire to have realistic scenes with horses dying eventually led to the creation of an oversight organization dedicated to "No animals were harmed in the making of this film" (you can read the tragic origins of that phrase in an old Movie Legends Revealed here).
That same desire for verisimilitude has led to Tom Cruise's famously doing a lot of stunts in his Mission: Impossible films...

In hindsight, it's impossible to imagine anyone but Mark Harmon in the role of gruff "NCIS" boss Leroy Jethro Gibbs. It wasn't exactly a career-reigniting role for the actor, who had already built a legacy on shows like "St. Elsewhere" and "Chicago Hope" before joining the CBS military police procedural's inaugural 2003 season. However, it soon became apparent that Gibbs would be his defining role. Harmon embodied the character in a way that made him the unquestionable centerpiece of the ensemble cast throughout his 19 seasons with the show. He left "NCIS" in 2021, but Gibbs perseveres: In 2024, CBS rolled out the prequel show "NCIS: Origins," with Austin Stowell playing young Gibbs while Harmon narrates, "Young Sheldon"-style.
Knowing Harmon's importance to the "NCIS" franchise, it may be surprising to find out that the people behind the show didn't call his agent the second they conceived the character of Gibbs. In 2023, the makers...

For as prominent a genre as the Western is, it's a bit strange to think that a star like Patrick Swayze only made one during his career. While some consider Road Houseto fit most of the genre's conventions, and the miniseries North and South comes occasionally close to traditional Western antics, Swayze only ever made one traditional Western. However, there was another action flick that came dangerously close to the distinctly American genre — and we're not talking about Steel Dawn. No, the picture we're thinking of is the 1989 revenge thriller Next of Kin. Playing ordinary southerner-turned-Chicago detective Truman Gates, Swayze takes the law into his own hands here in this action movie that also stars Liam Neeson, Helen Hunt, Adam Baldwin, and, oddly enough, even Ben Stiller.

Prime Video's Road House reboot was a major success for the streaming platform, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Dalton, a retired UFC fighter who becomes a bouncer in the Florida Keys. The 2024 film was Prime Video's most-watched movie debut to date, as audiences were obsessed with the new take on the Patrick Swayze-led action cult classic. Thanks to its tremendous success, a sequel was quickly greenlit and Road House 2 has finally gotten an update, thanks to one of its (potentially) returning stars.

Pain don't hurt, and watching 1989's Road House won't hurt your wallet, either. Patrick Swayze stars as a philosophical, throat-ripping bouncer in this cult classic action flick. Road House is now streaming for free on Tubi. Directed by Rowdy Herrington (Striking Distance) and written by R. Lance Hill (Out for Justice), Road House was released by United Artists in the summer of 1989. It was produced by action maven Joel Silver; its soundtrack extensively features Canadian blues guitarist Jeff Healey, who also acts in the film as Cody, the bandleader at the titular road house.

Jake Gyllenhaal fans have been eating good of late; the Oscar-nominated actor starred in Road House and Presumed Innocent in 2024, the former being a remake of the classic Patrick Swayze action film, and the latter being a legal thriller/procedural series that has already been renewed for a second season. Gyllenhaal is booked and busy in 2025 as he's been confirmed to star in The Bride, the upcoming horror film written and directed by his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal that also stars Christian Bale, and he'll team up with Guy Ritchie for In the Grey, the action thriller starring Henry Cavill. With as large a body of work as Patrick Swayze had to his name, it's sort of surprising that he wasn't in many Westerns. In fact, he wasn't in any Westerns at all, save for one: a long-forgotten Disney movie called Tall Tale. Though some may consider Road House a modern Western of sorts, as far as traditional horse operas go, only this Disney fantasy flick fits the bill — Pecos Bill, that is. In this 1995 adventure, Swayze plays none other than Pecos Bill, a legendary cowboy who comes to the aid of a young boy named Daniel Hackett (played by a young Nick Stahl). Is Pecos Bill real or imagined? Well, Tall Tale (sometimes called Tall Tale: The Unbelievable Adventures of Pecos Bill) offers few clear answers, but they don't matter much anyway. Patrick Swayze played a cowboy here, and the truth is that we wished he'd played a few more.

Of all the legacy sequels and remakes to spring up in the age where IP is king, the "Road House" remake was one of the most underwhelming. Jake Gyllenhaal was really the only reason to watch the anemic remake of "Road House," which arrived on Amazon's Prime Video service back in March 21, 2024 following its South by Southwest premiere earlier in the month. The film left much to be desired, adding yet another facet to the argument against Hollywood's obsession with regurgitating and repackaging existing material.
In comparison to the original, the "Road House" remake took a lot of creative liberties that separate it from the 1989 film, and not necessarily in a good way. For starters, the story plays out in the Florida Keys rather than Missouri. What are the greatest action movies of all time? It’s a controversial question, isn’t it? Any time any publication or site puts out a new list of what they consider the best action movies of all time, it can’t help but generate a ton of controversy. Nevertheless, we here at JoBlo have decided to throw our hats into the ring with a list we really hope generates some nostalgia among our viewers but also encourages them to seek out the movies on this list that they may not have seen. But first, some may wonder where superhero movies are on this list. A handful of famous actors, including Michael J. Fox, turned down the chance to play Sam Wheat in 1990’s Ghost opposite Demi Moore before Patrick Swayze landed his career-changing role. Fox later told Whoopi Goldberg he made a huge mistake by passing on the movie — “I’m a fucking idiot.”
Paramount turned to other actors as well, reports Far Out. Harrison Ford. Tom Hanks. Kevin Bacon. Even Paul Hogan, hot of Crocodile Dundee, was considered. But one guy who never got a shot? The studio’s biggest movie star: Eddie Murphy. The comedian’s films brought in more than $1.3 billion during the 1980s.
“I deserved for them to come to me first,” Murphy says in the book Off the Record, excerpted by Newsweek in 2007. “That’s how you treat your biggest star. You give him the opportunity to say he’s not interested. I would have been interested in doing Ghost.

M. Night Shyamalan is preparing his latest film and inviting high-profile talent to help him do it. Jake Gyllenhaal is being considered to lead the latest mystery movie, but the true twist for fans will be who is actually helping to develop the film.
Per Deadline, Gyllenhaal will star in Shyamalan's next film, which is being described as a supernatural romantic thriller. The big twist here is that the film is based on an original story that Shyamalan co-created with author Nicholas Sparks. Yes, the same Nicholas Sparks behind the novels A Walk to Remember and The Notebook, both of which were turned into hit films. On paper, this sounds like a strange union, but it's a bit more intriguing once you dig deeper.
Shyamalan will work independently on his screenplay while Sparks will do the same with his novel, but it's based on the same original story and will feature the same characters.
