Don Q follows the title character, played by Armand Assante, a Little Italy resident who delusionally believes himself to be a mob boss. When an ex-con comes to town and threatens real danger, Don Q must grow into his role as he engages in a turf war.

Asked how he gets himself into the headspace of a mob boss, Pastore shared the story by way of explanation. “I was doing a concert down at Wonder Bar for my birthday, and some of my friends came over to the table,” he told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “I wanted them to meet my family because my granddaughter was playing in the band for us that night. Veteran actor Armand Assante shared what drives his new mob-boss movie Don Q and why he believes mafia movies have withstood the test of time.

The 2024 film Don Q follows the title character, played by Assante, a Little Italy resident who delusionally believes himself to be a mafia boss. When a real-deal ex-con returns to the area, Don and his loyal recruit soon find themselves in a ruthless back and forth.

As Beetlejuice Beetlejuice still rakes in money in theaters, we discuss Burton’s influence, whether or not he’s actually a good director (something Burton himself has questioned in the past), his best films and his worst films, his inspirations, and the love-and-hate relationship with Disney from the very beginning of his career. There is also the observation that most of Tim Burton’s films are some version of Alice in Wonderland.

During its marathon run on TV, NCIS required many people to make the series the success it is, and the series paid tribute to one of those people during its October 14 season 22 premiere. When the police procedural aired the opening of NCIS season 22, it featured a tribute to George Schenck, causing many to wonder who the man was. There is something indelibly appealing about Greek mythology movies, from classics like Spartacus to more recent fare like Troy (2004). Incorporating imaginative elements into the sincerity of religion, they are magical realism of the highest order, wherein humans coexist with monsters. The gods were as flawed as humans, making them relatable. They were vain and vengeful, inviting convoluted and operatic drama. Further, Angient Greek civilization was a highpoint of ancient civilization. Their grandiose stories and lives will perpetuate them in eternity - a point proven by how epic in scale so many timeless movies based on Ancient Greek myths are.

The Iliad was last made into a mainstream Hollywood blockbuster in 2004’s “Troy.” But you must go back to 1954 to find an equivalent for The Odyssey in “Ulysses” starring Kirk Douglas. Since then, The Odyssey has had some notable television adaptations: 1968’s Italian production “Odissea” (with Bekim Fehmiu and Irene Papas), 1997’s American production “The Odyssey” and 2013’s French production “Odysseus”.

Demi Moore has reflected on how one of her most criticized movies was plagued by the misconceptions that it was all about her flaunting her body. The movie in question was 1996's Striptease , which starred Moore as a single mother who turns to stripping in order to make enough money to fight for the custody of her daughter, but ends up bringing danger to her door when becoming the obsession of someone who is used to getting exactly what they want.

Striptease drew a lot of criticism, becoming one of Moores lowest rated movies on Rotten Tomatoes with just a 13% Tomatometer score, and similarly low 24% approval rating from audiences. With most reviews agreeing that the film suffers from not being able to decide if it wants to be a thriller or satire, many reviewers seem unable to work out whether the sleazy undertone of the film is meant to be serious or darkly comic.

Demi Moore reflects on her role in the film Striptease. Striptease is a 1996 dark comedy based on the Carl Hiaasen novel about a woman who is a stripper and a single mother who winds up in a dangerous situation once a congressional representative takes a liking to her.
