Fan posters for movies are not a new thing, but with the increased availability of AI tools, it has become much easier for anyone to create some very elaborate and believable creations that fool some people into thinking that new movies in popular franchises are being made. A new poster that has unsettled many on social media is for Princess Bride 2, which comes with images of original stars Cary Elwes and Robin Wright reprising their roles from the classic 1987 fantasy.
Obviously, the poster is a fake, and there is currently no sequel to The Princess Bride in development, but the very idea of it happening has been enough to see fans demanding this non-existent movie be canceled before it ruins the much-loved classic. There are many reasons why some would be tricked into thinking the poster is for a genuine sequel – regardless of how basic it is – as talks of...

While each major broadcast network has procedural dramas, CBS is the king of the format, at least in the 21st century. It's mastered the art form of the procedural, specifically focused on crimes of all kind. The "NCIS" franchise alone has spawned a handful of series, each of them taking place in the United States and abroad going as far back as 2003.
But CBS is no stranger to other long-running procedural crime dramas, including the darker and no less famous "Criminal Minds." When "Criminal Minds" began airing in the fall of 2005, it boasted a unique hook, focusing on the profilers of a specific unit of the FBI and the very grim cases that they would have to solve all across the country. The show has lasted in some form for two decades, although what was once a full-season drama airing on CBS is now a streaming reboot series titled "Criminal Minds: Evolution" on Paramount+.

Criminal Minds takes a lot of liberties when it comes to its characters. With its viewers keeping in mind that the series is based on fiction, it has easily become one of the most beloved crime shows on television. However, its lack of real foundations can make many of its solves seem more like miraculous displays of luck than detective work.

With this, one cannot help but wonder just how much of these miracles could be counterproductive. In fact, there is one gaping plot hole that could end up destroying years of detective work within the span of a few unveilings. Interestingly enough, it all connects to the beloved Penelope Garcia.

Breaking Baz: ‘Snow White’ Star Rachel Zegler Signs To Play Eva Perón In ‘Evita’ At London Palladium
Exclusive: Rachel Zegler, star of Steven Spielberg’s screen version of West Side Story and the soon-to-be-released Disney live-action movie Snow White, will make her London theater debut as Eva Perón in a revival of the garlanded Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Evita, director Jamie Lloyd confirmed to Deadline on Friday.
The show will play at the fabled London Palladium for a limited 12-week summer season, with performances from June 14 through September 6.
Reached in New York where he’s meeting with actors being considered for other key roles, an excited Lloyd described Zegler as a “phenomenal talent” who will “blow the roof off the London Palladium.”
Complex negotiations to bring Zegler, an American of Colombian and Polish descent, to the West End were completed a few days ago. She will be among the highest-paid stars on the London stage this season.

Roger Ebert was one of the most prominent voices in the movie industry for decades. A film critic for the Chicago Sun-Times, Ebert wrote thousands of film reviews from 1967 until he died in 2013. Filmmakers waited with bated breath for his reviews of their films while readers trusted his every word when deciding which film to go see. Ebert influenced generations of critics and moviegoers not only through his prose but also by helping draw attention to certain independent and international films as well as upstart filmmakers.
Ebert has reviewed films of just about any genre, so it's only natural he'd have reviewed plenty of comic book films along the way. While Ebert reviewed most of them negatively, there were a handful of comic book films he truly enjoyed, giving nine of them a perfect four stars out of four along with a couple that fell short with three and a half stars.

Kahane Corn Cooperman’s engaging and heartwarmingly hopeful “Creede U.S.A.” stars the residents of Creede, Colorado, a sparse place (population: 300) so remote I had to look it up on Google Maps, only to discover that it’s just a three-hour drive west of where I was raised. The last silver boom town in the state, Creede is now home to a 40-foot aluminum sculpture known as the Creede Fork. But the town’s most famous attraction would have to be the thriving Creede Repertory Theatre, which was the focus of an August 2021 article in the New York Times — which is how the nearly 60-year-old institution came to the attention of an Oscar nominee like Cooperman (recognized for her 2016 short “Joe’s Violin”), a self-described “former theater nerd” who’d been longing to escape the “echo chamber” of her big city bubble.

For many years now, the Kardashian-Jenner family has been slated for their seemingly unrealistic view of the world. All the sisters as well as their mothers are drowning in wealth, so it's easy for certain viewers to roll their eyes at their problems. Not to mention, they have been in the spotlight for so long that some viewers just expect them to roll with the punches.
However, a 2022 episode of the hit TV series, The Kardashians, proves that this family is a lot more in tune with real life than they look. This episode places a great deal of focus on Kim Kardashian as she awaits the results of her Bar exam. As such, this one episode has the potential to completely alter how viewers perceive this iconic family.

It isn’t easy to believe that NBC hasn’t yet renewed Brilliant Minds for a second season. It was a fan-favorite of the 2024 fall season.
While medical dramas are a dime a dozen, Brilliant Minds differed because the series focused on the characters’ quirky personality traits and how those skills helped solve unique medical cases.
Brilliant Minds’ cases were based on Oliver Sacks’ actual cases, which dealt with the brain. He believed in helping his patients adapt to their situation, even if there wasn’t a cure, which is not explored in medical dramas.
(Rafy/NBC)
While the medical cases were massively popular, the relationships were also hugely popular. Dr. Wolf and Dr. Pierce’s long-standing friendship remained the heart of the series, especially as it included flashbacks of the early years.
The relationship between Dr. Wolf and Dr. Nichols was one of the best parts of Brilliant Minds...

During a recent episode of The View, Sara Haines cracked a joke using an accent inspired by a well-known movie quote. The reference was clear to those familiar with pop culture, but some viewers misinterpreted it, assuming she was mocking a group of people.
Sara Haines’ Movie Reference on The View
While discussing Temptation Island on The View, Sara Haines made a joke related to a character named José Carlos Montoya. The last name ‘Montoya’ reminded her of the iconic line from The Princess Bride, prompting her to mimic Mandy Patinkin’s accent from the film.
In the movie, Patinkin portrayed Inigo Montoya, a Spanish swordsman known for the famous line, “My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die.” The quote, often repeated with Patinkin’s accent, has remained a beloved pop culture reference.
Despite the obvious movie connection, some fans seemed perplexed by Sara’s impression.

In Rob Reiner's beloved 1987 romantic fantasy film "The Princess Bride," the good-hearted kidnapper Inigo Monotya (Mandy Patinkin) is ordered by his boss Vizzini (Wallace Shawn) to dispatch a mysterious Man in Black (Cary Elwes) who has been following them up the Cliffs of Insanity. Inigo is a masterful swordsman, and rarely gets to ply his skills, so he immediately becomes itchy, eager for the oncoming fight. Because he is so polite, Inigo allows the Man in Black to sit and rest for a few moments before attacking, and the two have an amusingly casual conversation about Inigo's motivations and how he got his sword. "You seem a decent fellow," Inigo says, "I hate to kill you."
"You seem a decent fellow," the Man in Black replies, "I hate to die."
They then begin. The fight choreography is astounding. Inigo was not just blowing smoke.

Throughout the twenty-first century, romantic comedies have experienced a slow death. During this period, major Hollywood studios have focused primarily on action-based blockbusters, leaving little room for high-profile romantic comedies. Recently, when studios do decide to produce romantic comedies, they receive streaming-only releases. These films tend to feature poor acting, subpar screenplays, and corny, cliché-ridden narratives. Major publications such as The Washington Post, Variety, and Parade have all written articles declaring the romantic comedy as a dead genre.
While the current state of romantic comedies seems to be in limbo, the complete opposite was the case in the 1980s. During the 1980s, romantic comedies thrived both critically and commercially. In Hollywood, romantic comedies such as When Harry Met Sally..., Tootsie, and Moonstruck ranked among the most iconic films of the decade. Overseas, romantic comedies like Pauline at the Beach and My American Uncle earned numerous accolades at international film festivals.

Men in suits of armor. Courtly romance. Raging bouts of plague and pillaging. All these and more are the hallmarks of a good old-fashioned medieval movie. So many of our most enduring legends have their start in the Middle Ages, from King Arthur and Knights of the Round Table to Robin Hood, and for good reason -- their classic tales of adventure and noble battles for justice have won over audiences for hundreds of years.
Although adventures are never in short supply, whether our heroes are off fighting in the Crusades, waging a seemingly endless war in France over the right to rule France, or battling smaller tyrannies on the home front, films set in medieval times aren't just limited to the action genre. The Eaton Fire has left devastation in its wake, tearing through homes and lives, including those of celebrities. Mandy Moore, star of This Is Us, revealed that while her Altadena home was miraculously still standing as of January 9th, her family’s garage, music studio, and back house weren’t as fortunate.

Amid the turmoil, Moore also shared a GoFundMe link for her in-laws, Griff and Kit Goldsmith, who lost everything in the fire. However, her well-meaning gesture didn’t come without backlash, as critics questioned her decision to seek public support. But Moore had a response for the doubters. If anything, this situation really sheds light on a grim truth, disasters spare no one.

Brilliant Minds has a near-perfect argument for why it should be renewed for season 2. The freshman medical drama stands out because of its focus on neurological cases and its commitment to diversity. Unlike most medical shows, the series is set in an overcrowded hospital in a poor area and features several neurodivergent characters as well as characters of different races and sexual orientations. The first season of Brilliant Minds only had 13 episodes and ended on January 6, 2025, with a two-hour finale.
Although NBC has not made a decision yet about Brilliant Minds season 2, the season finale ended with several cliffhangers, most notably when Wolf (Zachary Quinto) blew off his date with Nichols (Teddy Sears) to see his long-absent father, Noah (Mandy Patinkin) at a diner, where Noah told him he had a mysterious illness he wanted Wolf to look into. It would be disappointing if Brilliant Minds is canceled without resolving this intriguing new storyline.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Brilliant Minds season 1, episodes 12 and 13 (the season finale)
There are several questions that need answers after the Brilliant Minds season 1 finale. The medical drama ended with a two-part finale that aired on January 6, 2025, and revolves around the crisis at Ericka's (Ashleigh La Thrope) building. This seemingly pointless Brilliant Minds storyline begins with the interns realizing that the collapsing building is the one Ericka lives in. Nichols (Teddy Sears) and Wolf (Zachary Quinto) cross paths with an unnamed doctor (Mandy Patinkin) while assisting in the rescue effort, but Wolf later learns that the man is his supposedly dead father, Noah.
After Ericka is rescued, she deals with Ptsd and survivors' guilt while Wolf has a new case — a pastor whose "visions from God" are really signs of advanced brain cancer — but is distracted by his anger at his parents for letting him think Noah was dead for the past 30 years,...

Criminal Minds is one of the best and most popular police procedural dramas. The show ended after fifteen seasons, only to return as Criminal Minds: Evolution shortly after. And while Evolution has since proven to be just as captivating and dark as the original Criminal Minds, there's a reason why Criminal Minds became such a beloved show in the first place.
Some of the biggest and most disturbing cases in Criminal Minds included shocking twists that many fans didn't see coming. Other times, the procedural drama introduced twists that changed the course of a character's life forever. The many twists and turns in every episode of Criminal Minds helped the show become what it is today and made the audience remain glued to their screens with each episode, knowing that the series would probably deliver a shocking turn in the end. Warning! Spoilers ahead for Brilliant Minds season 1, episodes 12 and 13 (the season finale).Brilliant Minds' season 1 finale may have backed NBC into a corner when it comes to making a renewal decision. Although the finale ends with several significant cliffhangers, NBC hasn't decided whether Brilliant Minds season 2 will happen. The neurology-focused medical drama concluded its first season with a two-hour finale that features a shocking twist. After spending the first hour dealing with the building collapse, the series reveals that a seemingly random doctor (Mandy Patinkin) who was helping treat collapse victims is actually Noah Wolf — Oliver's (Zachary Quinto) supposedly dead father.
During the second half of the finale, Oliver wants to focus on the case of a pastor who is having strange hallucinations and perception issues, such as believing her husband is a hat on a rack. However, his world is turned upside down when he learns his father is alive.

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Brilliant Minds season 1, episode 12 and Brilliant Minds season 1, episode 13.
Brilliant Minds ended its season with a two-part finale that contains several surprising developments. The freshman medical drama focuses on unusual neurological cases based on the real-life cases and life of renowned neurologist Oliver Sacks. The special picks up from the cliffhanger of Brilliant Minds' best character, Ericka (Ashleigh Lathrop), trapped in an elevator with several other apartment residents as the building collapses. Wolf (Zachary Quinto) and Nichols (Teddy Sears) rush to the site to help with the rescue effort, while Ericka must help an older man who collapses in the elevator.

When the Brilliant Minds Season 1 finale aired, there were some generous cliffhangers.
Oliver learned his dad was alive, which shook up his world. Carol was put on administrative leave for an ethical conflict of interest. Ericka experienced Ptsd after watching Celia die in the elevator.
Almost everyone’s life was in flux.

Following Brilliant Minds episode 13, the NBC TV show's first season has come to an end, meaning there won't be any more new episodes (for now). The medical drama series, created by Michael Grassi, is partly based on two of neurologist Oliver Sacks' nonfiction books — The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and An Anthropologist on Mars. Both novels chronicle real-life medical cases, which inspired Grassi to create Brilliant Minds.
Brilliant Minds stars Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf, an attending neurologist at Bronx General in New York. Dr. Wolf is quite gifted, eccentric, and defined by his unique approach to his work (which isn't too popular among some of his peers). The series begins with Quinto's character accepting a new job at Bronx General, where he leads a team of interns and takes on unusual and challenging psychological cases. Unfortunately, though, Brilliant Minds season 1 is limited to 13 episodes.

Brilliant Minds creator and executive producer Michael Grassi shares his detailed hopes for season 2. A medical drama, based on the neurologist Oliver Sacks and his non-fiction books, Brilliant Minds debuted on NBC in September. It stars Star Trek alum Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf, spotlighting his work with a team as they use unconventional methods to help treat their patients. The cast of Brilliant Minds also includes Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh Lathrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, and Teddy Sears, with Donna Murphy and Mandy Patinkin in recurring roles.
In an interview with TheWrap, Grassi breaks down the season 1 finale and gives an update on the drama's future. Grassi, who also serves as showrunner, was asked about a renewal. He responds that he hasn't heard anything about season 2 yet but remains hopeful that the series will return.
Not yet, but our fingers dare firmly crossed.

Oliver’s dad, Noah (Mandy Patinkin), is still hanging out at Muriel’s place and insists he’s taking his meds and “in a good place.” Muriel (Donna Murphy) wonders what they’ll tell Oliver, concerned this news will disrupt his happiness. Note: The following story contains spoilers from “Brilliant Minds” Season 1, Episode 13.
NBC’s “Brilliant Minds” wrapped up its first season with a shocking twist that leads Zachary Quinto’s Dr. Oliver Wolf to “question everything.”
After learning how his dad’s passing traumatized Oliver during his adolescence, the penultimate episode of “Brilliant Minds” revealed that Oliver’s dad, Noah (played by Mandy Patinkin) was, in fact, alive and well. In a dramatic confrontation between Oliver, Noah and Muriel (Donna Murphy), Oliver learns not only that his dad has been alive, but that his mom has known, and lied to him.
“For Wolf, when he learns this huge secret, I think he starts to question everything in his life,” showrunner Michael Grassi told TheWrap. “Everything that he believed to be true is no longer true, and the thing that defined him, which was his dad, and is not what he believed it to be.

Zachary Quinto as Dr. Oliver Wolf in ‘Brilliant Minds’ episode 12 (Photo by: Rafy/NBC)
NBC’s Brilliant Minds season one winter finale left off with a cliffhanger showing Ericka’s apartment building collapsing. Episode 12 plunges into the aftermath of the collapse, with first responders looking for survivors amid the rubble.

'Brilliant Minds' Reckons With the Aftermath of the Building Collapse in New Midseason Return Images
Brilliant Minds' midseason cliffhanger left the life of one of Dr. Wolf's (Zachary Quinto) interns in danger as part of Ericka's (Ashleigh Lathrop) residential building collapsed. When the show returns with a two-hour mid-season premiere which will also serve as the Season 1 finale on January 6, the Bronx General team will deal with a massive event that rocks the city and their team. Aptly titled "The Doctor Whose World Collapsed," Brilliant Minds Season 1, Episode 12 deals with the immediate events following the building's collapse as everyone jumps into action to search and rescue those trapped in the debris. The arc carries over to Episode 13, "The Man Who Can't See Faces," as the team grapples with the aftermath of Ericka's tragedy. NBC has released some images from the episodes that tease these arcs and more, including guest appearances from Karen Robinson (Schitt's Creek) and Mandy Patinkin (Criminal Minds).

More often than not, fantasy movies include an element of romance in their stories, as these two genres easily go hand in hand. Since the aspects of fantasy that make it otherworldly, like magic and mystery, are used to reflect real-life struggles and topics, it's natural that love and relationships are touched upon as well. However, this doesn't mean that every movie ends happily for its central couple, as fantasy is just as filled with violence and tragedy as it is magic and goodness. This makes it even more exciting when the lovers do get a happily-ever-after.
The best fantasy romance movies ever made are notable for their stories and visuals but are often elevated to classic status thanks to the performances. In 2020, fans experienced the heartbreaking news that one of their top series, Criminal Minds, had been canceled after fifteen seasons. When the show received a reboot two years later, not all of the cast returned.
Criminal Minds: Evolution brought back some of our favorite profilers, only one of whom had been with the show since the beginning and a few who replaced original team members who had left before the show ended.
One of the most significant losses in the show’s history was that of boy-wonder Dr. Reid Spencer, played by Matthew Gray Gubler.

During the fifteen-year original run of Criminal Minds, Reid played the nerdy academic with an eidetic memory and a brilliance for profiling criminals.

Damian Lewis left Homeland after three seasons but it was too late because of the series’ downfall from fame. The series once stacked up awards for its first two seasons, with series leads Lewis and Claire Danes winning Best Actor and Best Actress respectively. However, Showtime’s desire to continue its golden goose beyond its prime became it’s downfall.

Lewis admitted that the series made a major mistake by not killing off his character after the first or second season. When the series started, Lewis’s Nicholas Brody was a U.S. Marine sergeant suspected of being a terrorist by Danes’ character, CIA officer Carrie Mathison.

Criminal Minds took the crime genre to a whole new level when it was released in 2005 and also presented a stunning ensemble of actors. But just like any other long-running show, even this series went through a lot of changes in the main cast. While Mandy Patinkin left the project for personal reasons, actor Thomas Gibson was fired in 2016 after his on-set altercation with a writer.

These exits also overshadowed the departure of actor Shemar Moore who played Derek Morgan on the show. While his exit was due to a lot of reasons, after Criminal Minds he got on board S.W.A.T. which was nearly canceled twice.
After Mandy Patinkin and Thomas Gibson’s Exit Shemar Moore Left Criminal Minds for S.W.A.T.
Criminal Minds with its thrilling plots and storylines can easily be one of the most interesting crime dramas out there.

If you're reading this, congrats on having likely finished watching "Bones," whether it's for the first or fifth time. The Fox show about a forensic anthropologist (Emily Deschanel), an FBI special agent (David Boreanaz), and the love and rotting skeletons between them is a daunting watchlist prospect, topping out at a whopping 246 episodes, but it's worth it if you love a good procedural. "Bones" debuted during an arguable high point in crime drama history, premiering in 2005 and wrapping up its lengthy run in 2017. The show isn't often recognized as particularly groundbreaking, but it certainly (re)started a trend toward forensics-based crime sagas led by partners who make moon eyes at each other every episode.
So what do you do when you finish watching a show this long? If you love TV as much as we do, the answer is naturally to find another show that'll make you feel the same thrill as "Bones" did.

Premiering in 2005, Criminal Minds is a police procedural series centered on the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, which consults on local crimes using psychological profiling to find and capture criminals. Actors like Thomas Gibson, Matthew Gray Gubler, Paget Brewster, and Joe Mantegna have starred in Criminal Minds for several years, and some continue to star in the revival series of Criminal Minds, Criminal Minds: Evolution. However, other stars, like Mandy Patinkin, starred on the show before leaving after only a few seasons.
While the original team was made up of seven core characters; Jason Gideon, Aaron Hotchner, Elle Greenaway, Derek Morgan, Spencer Reid, Jennifer Jareau, and Penelope Garcia, Criminal Minds' cast lineup has evolved over the years. One of those changes involved the seemingly abrupt departure in Season 3 of Senior Supervisory Special Agent Jason Gideon, played by Mandy Patinkin. This left a lot of fans wondering why Patinkin moved on from the show.
