Paramount+’s 1923 season two episode five finds Alexandra enduring yet another devastating event in her journey to reunite with Spencer. Meanwhile, Spencer’s luck finally changes, and his trip to Bozeman takes a few steps forward. Episode five, “Only Gunshots to Guide Us,” doesn’t check in on the Duttons as they endure the winter at the Yellowstone Ranch but does show Teonna’s pursuers are closing in on her in Texas.
The following is a recap, so there are plenty of spoilers ahead!
Marshal Kent (Ross Crain) and Father Renauld (Sebastian Roche) question the men from Ja Ranch about Teonna’s whereabouts. The boss, Anders (C. Thomas Howell), is reluctant to admit he’s seen Teonna but does so only when Father Renauld confirms Kent’s story that Teonna murdered two nuns in their sleep.

1923 Season 2, Episode 5, titled “Only Gunshots to Guide Us,” is a Brandon Sklenar and Julia Schlaepfer episode, in which they play Spencer and Alexandra, respectively. The chapter continues to depict their struggle—like a dream where you try to reach your destination, but it never ends. The writing is designed to highlight the depth of their love.
In this episode, Taylor Sheridan delves deeper into character development and places them in harm’s way. Surprisingly, after heavy focus on these stars in previous weeks, the episode does not include contributions from Harrison Ford’s Jacob or Helen Mirren’s Cara. At least we get a break from Elizabeth (Landman’s Michelle Randolph) encountering a wolf, a mountain lion, and, I imagine, a giant moose in the coming weeks.

The third season of Taylor Sheridan's mob drama Tulsa King is expanding its cast with new additions. Just a couple of days ago, we learned the series would be returning for a third season, and now we're learning about two actors who will join the Sylvester Stallone-led series. Robert Patrick(of Terminator 2: Judgment Day fame) and Beau Knapp have joined the series in villainous roles (via Deadline), so we can expect a face off against Stallone's Dwight "The General" Manfredi.
Tulsa King, created by Sheridan, stars the Rocky and Rambo actor as Manfredi, a New York mafia capo exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a prison release, to build a criminal empire. The show, which streams on Paramount+, premiered in 2022 and has garnered critical acclaim.

Is Sylvester Stallone about to clash with a T-1000? I say this because Robert Patrick will join the cast of Tulsa King alongside Beau Knapp for Season 3 of the Taylor Sheridan-created series at Paramount+. Today’s announcement finds Patrick and Knapp landing series regular roles, with production already in motion.
Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone) just after being released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that might as well be another planet.

It’s not ripped from the headlines, but Tyler Cornack’s comedy “Mermaid” certainly seems inspired by them — specifically, the strange “Florida Man” news stories that have become a meme-friendly internet fixation.
In the midst of a “Jaws” parody opening centered on a monstrous murder at sea, the film takes a pause for a title card labeling the story as “a love letter to Florida.” But the drug-addled shenanigans that follow strive for more than gawking spectacle. Though assembled from zany fixtures, like a strip club-based mafia and a man-eating fish creature, Cornack’s filmmaking is defined by a disarming soulfulness, marinading in the melancholy of its slacker hero. It makes for a punishing, self-imposed mood of aggrievement, which seems alien and uninformed by the film’s genre-fawning endgame.

Blumhouse's latest thriller starring 1923's Brandon Sklenar and The White Lotus' Meghann Fahy has debuted with strong reviews from critics. Skelnar plays a prominent role in the cast of 1923, Taylor Sheridan's popular Yellowstone prequel, as Spencer Dutton, the nephew of Harrison Ford's Jacob Dutton. The hit Paramount+ series returned for season 2 last month, with Skelnar reprising his role in an impressive cast that includes Helen Mirren, Jerome Flynn, Timothy Dalton, and Robert Patrick.
Fahy, on the other hand, will be best known to many audiences for her role as Daphne Sullivan in The White Lotus season 2. Daphne served as one of the key characters in the HBO show's sophomore outing, with the White Lotus season 2 cast also featuring Jennifer Coolidge, F. Murray Abraham, Adam Dimarco, Beatrice Grannò, Theo James, Tom Hollander, Aubrey Plaza, and Michael Imperioli. Season 2 was generally well-received by critics and audiences, continuing the show's strong streak on HBO.

With the T-1000 heading into the Mortal Kombat 1 arena next week, WB Games and NetherRealm have finally released the anticipated gameplay trailer for the liquid metal antagonist, featuring the likeness and voice talents of Robert Patrick.
Battling for the supremacy of machines, the T-1000 is a state-of-the-art infiltration unit designed by Skynet. Comprised of a mimetic polyalloy, the virtually indestructible advanced prototype can shapeshift into objects or people it comes in contact with, mimicking their appearance, behavior, and voice, making it an extremely difficult opponent to detect and defeat. With its superior intelligence and metamorphic capabilities, the T-1000is an efficient fighter that embodies the ultimate evolution of assassination technology.
As for the T-1000’s moveset, he does indeed have the ability to organically form stabbing weapons, such as spears and hooks, as well as the ability to liquify for high-tech maneuvering and concealment. We already saw the T-1000’s first Fatality last month,...

Years after its announcement, the live-action Duke Nukem filmadaptation has received an optimistic, if not vague, update.
In 2018, John Cena was confirmed to star in a film adaptation of the raunchy Duke Nukem video game franchise. While the project has been in limbo for quite some time, producer Brad Fuller gave a vague but optimistic update to Screen Rant. During the South by Southwest film festival (SXSW), Fuller mostly spoke about his upcoming film The Astronaut but also gave a long-awaited update on Duke Nukem.
Fuller confirmed that the project hasn't been dropped yet and is still in development. Unfortunately, this was the only new information Fuller could provide, stating, "If I had information for you, I would tell you. I just know it's something we're talking about and trying to figure out."

After a heartbreaking loss to Mikey Madison (Anora) for the Best Actress Oscar, The Substance's Demi Moore's 1996 box office bomb, Striptease, is climbing the global Max top 10 chart. And soon after, she loses custody of her daughter, Angela to said loser ex-husband. Grant becomes a stripper at the Eager Beaver strip club in Miami, Florida, to get the $15,000 needed to file an appeal for reprieve. [Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for 1923 Season 2 Episode 2, “The Rapist Is Winter.”] Viewers got an update on Zane Davis (Brian Geraghty) and his family’s fate in the second episode of 1923‘s second season. The episode, which came out on Sunday, March 2, on Paramount+, revealed that Zane hadn’t received any proper medical attention following the beating he received at the end of Season 1, his wife, Alice (Joy Osmanski) was still imprisoned, and their children were remanded to the state custody. Jacob Dutton (Harrison Ford) went into Boseman with Sheriff McDowell (Robert Patrick) to negotiate Zane and Alice’s release and the reunion of their family, ultimately convincing a judge to let the Davis family be remanded to the Dutton’s home on the ranch (Kevin Costner‘s John Dutton arranged the same deal for Piper Perabo‘s Summer in Yellowstone Season 5). Zane and Alice were separated and arrested for miscegenation, a racist crime that made it illegal for ...

Taylor Sheridan crafts stories that unfold in a single hour of ruthless, unforgiving television. Case in point: 1923’s Season 2, Episode 2, titled “The Rapist is Winter,” is as cold as a frigid Montana night. This thrilling and visually evocative episode lingers long after it ends.
The second chapter of 1923‘s sophomore season continues the storylines of Whitfield’s (Timothy Dalton) vision for the Duttons’ land. While driving through snowy roads with Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn), he spots men strangely gliding down the steep white powder hills.
When they approach, they are Norwegians, and Banner permits them to do what they call “skiing” down the hills. Whitfield asks several questions, including whether children can learn this. He continually tells Banner he needs vision, indicating he wants to make Yellowstone a family vacation spot.

Season 2 of 1923 returns to Montana and the saga of the Duttons with the intensity fans have come to expect from Taylor Sheridan and the Yellowstone world. As winter rages and desperation reigns, it is clear throughout the first two episodes that life and love for the Duttons are destined to be as difficult as ever.
Episode 1, "The Killing Season," had an ominous title, but the second episode of season 2 of 1923 was even more menacing. Called "The Rapist Is Winter," Episode 2 was every bit as harsh and unrelenting as its predecessor, if not more so. Cara Dutton and Elizabeth Stafford try to keep the wolves at bay while Jacob Dutton (Harrison Ford) and his traveling companions refuse to back down from the threats winter brings.

Acclaimed veteran actor and 1923 star Harrison Ford recently revealed why he signed on for the Taylor Sheridan Yellowstone prequel series. Ford stars alongside Helen Mirren in the show that debuted its second season this week.
While addressing if 1923 had been pitched to him as a two-season story and if that plan had changed, Ford recalled one of the major reasons he decided to board the project. "I think everybody (laughs) remembers different parts of this story," he said to The Hollywood Reporter. "For instance, I thought that I was told that Helen had already signed on, so that was the bait [for me], and she was told that I was signed on," Ford continued, with Mirren, who was also present, good-humoredly declaring, "I'm the carrot!"

DC Studios co-chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran emphasized that the release date for Season 2 of the hit Max series Peacemaker is still on track for August.
Meanwhile the other Suicide Squad spinoff series, Waller, starring Oscar winner Viola Davis as the amoral U.S. government espionage director who dispatches the criminal misfit Suicide Squad team on missions, remains in the works. However, it’s been a hard road for the show.
Safran explained, “We’ve taken a couple of cracks at Waller and we haven’t been able to land it.”
“We’re still working on it,” said Gunn.
“Waller has been tough, the strike was tough on Waller, there was a certain amount time that we needed to do Peacemaker first,” he continued.
Added Gunn, “We were going to go with Waller before Peacemaker (Season 2), but I wrote Peacemaker quickly and were ready to go.”

As a prequel to Yellowstone and a sequel to 1883, Taylor Sheridan's 1923 is a captivating look at another chapter in the Dutton family saga. Season 2 of 1923 begins where the first season ended, with the Duttons, led by Jacob (Harrison Ford) and his wife, Cara (Helen Mirren), fighting opponents of all kinds to hold onto their land.
Throughout Season 1 of 1923, Spencer Dutton's (Brandon Sklenar) experiences in Africa and his efforts to survive were juxtaposed against the threats to his family in Montana. The gun battle between the Duttons and Banner Creighton's (Jerome Flynn) group highlights the war that rages in Montana, a conflict to which Spencer is compelled to return.
This same intensity and desperation permeate Episode 1 as each member of the Dutton family attempts to survive "The Killing Season." Here's where 1923 picked up and where things are for the Duttons at the start of the second season.

So far, Prime Video’s Reacher has managed to grab some fantastic actors to play its bad guys. From Bruce McGill as Mayor Grover Teale to the T-1000 Terminator himself, Robert Patrick, as Shane Langston.
Now, Season 3 of Reacher has the former Army special investigator going up against Anthony Michael Hall’s uber-rich Zachary Beck. Hall is absolutely fantastic in the role, easily jumping between concerned yet distant father to tough but unwilling criminal, and Hall knows it since he recognized the joy and how recently becoming a father gave him a wealth of experience to draw on. He spoke about this to Variety.

The season premiere of the second (and confirmed final) season of 1923 remains cinematic. It has honest-to-God star power—not only because the series features Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, rising star Brandon Sklenar, and an Emmy-worthy turn by Aminah Nieves.
Created by Taylor Sheridan, 1923‘s second season is worth watching because the series is brimming with magnetism, flawless writing, thought-provoking themes, and genuinely engaging storytelling. As displayed at the start of the sophomore effort is the type of old-fashioned Hollywood storytelling they don’t make anymore.

This post contains mild spoilers for the first three episodes of "Reacher" season three
"Reacher" set a streaming record for Prime Video when it debuted back in 2022, thereby ensuring its ongoing existence as one of the platform's flagship shows. Since that first season, wherein Reacher took on a group of counterfeiters, the titular ex-military policeman has faced off against the T-1000 himself, Robert Patrick. Having defeated such a formidable foe, Reacher needed an even bigger challenge in season 3. While the first three episodes reveal that the real villain is Brian Tee's Francis Xavier Quinn, there's a much more imposing physical threat in this latest season: Olivier Richters' gigantic henchman, Paulie.
Yes, the "Reacher" writers have put Alan Ritchson's hulking hero up against an even larger bruiser in the form of Richters' bodyguard. While there's plenty of intrigue and mystery at the heart of "Reacher" season 3, many fans will...

Terminator 2: Judgment Day, filmmaker James Cameron's 1991 follow-up to his 1984 blockbuster The Terminator, remains a classic of both the sci-fi and action genres, with plenty of critics and fans regarding it as superior to its predecessor. Its innovative special effects, intense action sequences, and still-relevant themes about the dangers of our increasing reliance on artifical intelligence all give the film a timeless quality, despite being released over three decades ago.
But, as it turns out, AI wasn't the only social issue that Terminator 2 tried to warn us about. Cameron has made it clear in multiple interviews that it was no accident that the film's frightening antagonist, the T-1000 (Robert Patrick), wears an LAPD officer's uniform for most of the film's runtime. Indeed, Cameron intended for this costume choice to be a subtle commentary on the way cops are often trained to become "machines" designed for violence and brutality.

Creating TV programs since the early '90s, screenwriter Shawn Ryan admittedly took a while to make his way into the streaming world. The 1998 high school horror flick The Faculty is the next on the line to get the remake treatment. Drew Hancock is in line to direct.
Audiences seem to be having a good time with Drew Hancock’s feature debut, Companion. The horror comedy comes from Boulderlight, the same team that brought the wild horror, Barbarian into the world back in 2022. Following the success of that film, they seem to have the pick of many a horror project in Hollywood.
For Drew Hancock, that next project could well be a remake of the 1998 high school horror, The Faculty.
The original featured an ensemble of young talent including a young Elijah Wood and Josh Hartnett and was a fun film, a kind of late 90s teen horror spin on Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. Salma Hayek popped up, as did Robert Patrick and Famke Janssen. With Robert Rodriguez directing, the movie possessed his trademark kinetic style,...

Action films are one of the biggest box office draws today. Every year, more and more action flicks are released in theaters, and viewers can't get enough. And an integral part of an action film's historical success is it's ending.
Endings can make or break a movie, especially when it comes to the action genre. Either because of how incredibly it closes out the film, or because of what it means for the genre, the ending needs to be perfect.
It’s Never “Hasta la Vista” With the Terminator Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Terminator 2: Judgment Day, written and directed by the great James Cameron, is considered to be one of the greatest action films of all time. For the classic ending, after an intense battle against the indestructible T-1000, played by Robert Patrick, Sarah Connor finally puts an end to the machine, as well as the possibility of Skynet's future world-ending rise.

You know you're old when Hollywood starts remaking films released when you were in high school. Premiering on Christmas day in 1998, The Faculty was the meta answer to sci-fi films in the same way 1996's Scream was to the slasher movie sub-genre. It was a modest hit upon release, but it has gone on to develop a major cult following with genre fans. This was bound to happen sooner or later, and it looks like that time is now, because a remake is officially in the works.
Per Variety, a remake of The Faculty is set at Miramax and the director of the original film, Robert Rodriguez, is on board as a producer. What makes this remake news promising is that Drew Hancock is writing the project. That name may not be immediately recognizable, but he's an emerging talent who wrote and directed this weekend's Companion, a new horror film...

Avatar: The Last Airbender has plenty of subtle details that fans may or may not notice on a first viewing. Plenty of recurring jokes and elements may come up, such as Aang's affinity for animals and certain visual themes with the mismatched sides of Zuko's face. Still, other details are tougher to notice the first time or even the second time.
Some of those hidden details and fun Easter eggs are part of the series' design, such as real-life martial arts inspiring the physical movements of certain bending styles. Other Easter eggs are pop culture references hiding in plain sight or minor animation quirks to provide subtle humor or connect the three seasons in minor ways. All of these details and more are rewarding for fans to notice when they rewatch Avatar or learn the truth about how this cartoon was designed.

When Peacemaker Season 1 debuted on Max in 2022, the dance sequence during the opening credits became an instant fan-favorite. John Cena, who plays the series' titular antihero, says Season 2 will feature a new song with new choreography.
Speaking to Collider, Cena said that he was initially unsure if a quirky intro, set to Wig Wam's "Do You Wanna Taste It," would resonate with viewers. "I will say filming the dance number in Season 1, even though it was written in the script the whole way through, so I knew months out we were going to film it, you still kind of scratch your head, like, 'Is this going to work?'" he explained. Fortunately, everyone loved it and its popularity led to a new creation for Season 2.

When Peacemaker premiered back in 2022, the show's hilariously bizarre opening sequence soon became one of the biggest talking points, and fans can look forward to a brand-new dance number featuring the main cast when the HBO/Max series returns for its second season.
Writer director James Gunn has previously revealed that the credits sequence will be revamped for season 2, but we still don't know what to expect. We have heard that Wig Wam's "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" will be replaced by another song, but this has yet to be confirmed.
Star John Cena wasn't willing to divulge any details during an interview with Collider, but he does sound confident that fans will appreciate the new intro.

Terminator Genisys recast the franchise's iconic T-1000 with Lee Byung-hun, but why didn't Robert Patrick return for the role? Outside of Arnold Schwarzenegger's titular cyborg, the T-1000 is the most iconic character of The Terminator movie franchise. Robert Patrick played the role in Terminator 2: Judgment Day and went on to reprise the machine in comedic cameos in Last Action Hero and Wayne's World. The only issue with the T-1000 is that it was such a perfect villain that the series struggled to top it in the sequels that followed.
Despite all their various gimmicks, none of the other Terminator models that came after matched Patrick's T-1000 in terms of sheer menace. Terminator Genisys was intended as a soft reboot of the saga that would take it in new directions, and play with established lore. Outside of Arnold himself, none of the other actors from the series reprised their roles,...

The explosive new trailer for Season 3 of the Prime Video hit Reacher has just been released, and if you thought you'd seen star Alan Ritchson kick some butt in the first two seasons, you haven't seen anything yet. Ritchson returns for the Season 3 premiere on February 20, which will see the debut of three new episodes, with the remaining five airing weekly thereafter. Newcomers this year include Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, and Johnny Berchtold, among others.
Set to the tune of Kansas' "Carry on My Wayward Son," the explosive new Reacher Season 3 trailer (seen below) shows him infiltrating a criminal enterprise as he seeks to clear up some unfinished business from his past. Along the way, we see him battle a much bigger foe — the 7-foot Olivier Richters, who portrays Paulie. Explosions abound, bones are broken, and Maria Sten's Frances Neagley even makes an appearance to once more act as Reacher's conscience.

Everyone knows that Liam Neeson has his skills, and his greatest is delivering movies that please large audiences looking for violence, high drama, and a twisting, turning – if often predictable – storyline about kidnap, revenge, or retribution…or even all three at the same time. Honest Thief is one such movie. Originally released in 2020, it finds Neeson playing a professional bank robber, Tom Carter, who is planning on going straight and confessing to his crimes. Things don’t go to plan, though, when corrupt FBI officers try to steal the cash he planned on returning.
Like several other movies from the Irish actor’s extensive catalog of action movies, Honest Thief wasted no time in making an appearance on Freevee’s Top 10 after being added to the free-to-stream platform. Considering the movie is one of Neeson’s highest-rated movies from an audience perspective, it did not fare well with critics, who...
