Paramount+’s 1923 season two episode five finds Alexandra enduring yet another devastating event in her journey to reunite with Spencer. Meanwhile, Spencer’s luck finally changes, and his trip to Bozeman takes a few steps forward. Episode five, “Only Gunshots to Guide Us,” doesn’t check in on the Duttons as they endure the winter at the Yellowstone Ranch but does show Teonna’s pursuers are closing in on her in Texas.

The following is a recap, so there are plenty of spoilers ahead!

Marshal Kent (Ross Crain) and Father Renauld (Sebastian Roche) question the men from Ja Ranch about Teonna’s whereabouts. The boss, Anders (C. Thomas Howell), is reluctant to admit he’s seen Teonna but does so only when Father Renauld confirms Kent’s story that Teonna murdered two nuns in their sleep.

1923 Season 2, Episode 5, titled “Only Gunshots to Guide Us,” is a Brandon Sklenar and Julia Schlaepfer episode, in which they play Spencer and Alexandra, respectively. The chapter continues to depict their struggle—like a dream where you try to reach your destination, but it never ends. The writing is designed to highlight the depth of their love.

In this episode, Taylor Sheridan delves deeper into character development and places them in harm’s way. Surprisingly, after heavy focus on these stars in previous weeks, the episode does not include contributions from Harrison Ford’s Jacob or Helen Mirren’s Cara. At least we get a break from Elizabeth (Landman’s Michelle Randolph) encountering a wolf, a mountain lion, and, I imagine, a giant moose in the coming weeks.

When Peacemaker premiered in 2022, its opening theme became an instant hit with fans. According to James Gunn, the show will be changing tunes in Season 2.

Speaking at a press event (via Collider), Gunn revealed that Season 2 would feature a completely new song. "I don't know when they're going to see it," he said. "I was talking about [it] the other day because, one, it was really fun in the first [season]. Acclaimed veteran actor and 1923 star Harrison Ford recently revealed why he signed on for the Taylor Sheridan Yellowstone prequel series. Ford stars alongside Helen Mirren in the show that debuted its second season this week.

While addressing if 1923 had been pitched to him as a two-season story and if that plan had changed, Ford recalled one of the major reasons he decided to board the project. "I think everybody (laughs) remembers different parts of this story," he said to The Hollywood Reporter. "For instance, I thought that I was told that Helen had already signed on, so that was the bait [for me], and she was told that I was signed on," Ford continued, with Mirren, who was also present, good-humoredly declaring, "I'm the carrot!"

DC Studios co-chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran emphasized that the release date for Season 2 of the hit Max series Peacemaker is still on track for August.

The season premiere of the second (and confirmed final) season of 1923 remains cinematic. It has honest-to-God star power—not only because the series features Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, rising star Brandon Sklenar, and an Emmy-worthy turn by Aminah Nieves.

Created by Taylor Sheridan, 1923‘s second season is worth watching because the series is brimming with magnetism, flawless writing, thought-provoking themes, and genuinely engaging storytelling. Terminator 2: Judgment Day, filmmaker James Cameron's 1991 follow-up to his 1984 blockbuster The Terminator, remains a classic of both the sci-fi and action genres, with plenty of critics and fans regarding it as superior to its predecessor. Its innovative special effects, intense action sequences, and still-relevant themes about the dangers of our increasing reliance on artifical intelligence all give the film a timeless quality, despite being released over three decades ago.

But, as it turns out, AI wasn't the only social issue that Terminator 2 tried to warn us about. Cameron has made it clear in multiple interviews that it was no accident that the film's frightening antagonist, the T-1000 (Robert Patrick), wears an LAPD officer's uniform for most of the film's runtime. Indeed, Cameron intended for this costume choice to be a subtle commentary on the way cops are often trained to become "machines" designed for violence and brutality.

Audiences seem to be having a good time with Drew Hancock’s feature debut, Companion. The horror comedy comes from Boulderlight, the same team that brought the wild horror, Barbarian into the world back in 2022. Following the success of that film, they seem to have the pick of many a horror project in Hollywood.

For Drew Hancock, that next project could well be a remake of the 1998 high school horror, The Faculty.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day, written and directed by the great James Cameron, is considered to be one of the greatest action films of all time. For the classic ending, after an intense battle against the indestructible T-1000, played by Robert Patrick, Sarah Connor finally puts an end to the machine, as well as the possibility of Skynet's future world-ending rise.

You know you're old when Hollywood starts remaking films released when you were in high school. Premiering on Christmas day in 1998, The Faculty was the meta answer to sci-fi films in the same way 1996's Scream was to the slasher movie sub-genre. It was a modest hit upon release, but it has gone on to develop a major cult following with genre fans. This was bound to happen sooner or later, and it looks like that time is now, because a remake is officially in the works.

Per Variety, a remake of The Faculty is set at Miramax and the director of the original film, Robert Rodriguez, is on board as a producer. What makes this remake news promising is that Drew Hancock is writing the project. Back at the end of December 2023, just two days after the 25th anniversary of the release of director Robert Rodriguez‘s alien invasion horror film The Faculty (watch it Here), which reached theatres on December 25, 1998, scooper Daniel Richtman has revealed on his Patreon page that Rodriguez was on board to produce a remake of The Faculty. Now, thirteen months later, Variety has finally confirmed that scoop – and they have also revealed that the screenplay for the remake is being written by Drew Hancock, writer/director of the sci-fi thriller Companion, which reaches theatres tomorrow. The 1990s are hot again here in 2025, with properties including Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer and even Idle Hands all plotting returns. Additionally, Variety reports today that Miramax is headed back to school with a remake of The Faculty now in the works.

Robert Rodriguez, who directed the original The Faculty back in 1998, is returning to produce the remake, with Drew Hancock (Companion) attached to write the screenplay.

The Faculty remake will be produced by BoulderLight.

“The Night Agent” has returned with many new faces. Now that Peter Sutherland is officially a night agent, he must take on a new conspiracy mission with a new team.

Gabriel Basso will pick up the action, starring as Peter, and Luciane Buchanan will return as Rose. Though the couple ended their relationship at the end of Season 1, when Rose hears Peter is in trouble, she jumps at the opportunity to rekindle their relationship.

Because this season follows Peter on a new mission, several members of the original cast will not be back for Season 2, though, including Hong Chau and Robert Patrick.

Paramount+ has dropped a new trailer for 1923 Season 2. The upcoming season is expected to conclude the story of the Dutton family in the 1920s.

The eight-episode second season of the fan-favorite Yellowstone prequel series will pick up after the events of the first season, which was released on Paramount+ between December 2022 and February 2023. "A cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob and Cara back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer announcing the schedule and program details for the Mortal Kombat 1 Pro Kompetition: Season 2. The Mortal Kombat 1 Pro Kompetition will feature players of all ranks with a chance to compete for a cut of the $255,000 Usd prize pool across a variety of live, in-person events in North America, Latin America, South America, and Europe, as well as multiple online tournaments. Season 2 will begin with Pro Kompetition Mexico, an in-person event hosted in Mexico City on February 22nd, and the program will culminate at the Final Kombat World Championship, scheduled for September 2025.

When Peacemaker Season 1 debuted on Max in 2022, the dance sequence during the opening credits became an instant fan-favorite. John Cena, who plays the series' titular antihero, says Season 2 will feature a new song with new choreography.

Speaking to Collider, Cena said that he was initially unsure if a quirky intro, set to Wig Wam's "Do You Wanna Taste It," would resonate with viewers. "I will say filming the dance number in Season 1, even though it was written in the script the whole way through, so I knew months out we were going to film it, you still kind of scratch your head, like, 'Is this going to work?'" he explained. Fortunately, everyone loved it and its popularity led to a new creation for Season 2.

When Peacemaker premiered back in 2022, the show's hilariously bizarre opening sequence soon became one of the biggest talking points, and fans can look forward to a brand-new dance number featuring the main cast when the HBO/Max series returns for its second season.

Writer director James Gunn has previously revealed that the credits sequence will be revamped for season 2, but we still don't know what to expect. We have heard that Wig Wam's "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" will be replaced by another song, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Terminator Genisys recast the franchise's iconic T-1000 with Lee Byung-hun, but why didn't Robert Patrick return for the role? Outside of Arnold Schwarzenegger's titular cyborg, the T-1000 is the most iconic character of The Terminator movie franchise. Robert Patrick played the role in Terminator 2: Judgment Day and went on to reprise the machine in comedic cameos in Last Action Hero and Wayne's World. The only issue with the T-1000 is that it was such a perfect villain that the series struggled to top it in the sequels that followed.

The Pitt is an upcoming medical drama series created by R. Scott Gemmill. The Max series is set in the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital, and it follows the medical staff during their 15-hour emergency room shift. The Pitt stars Noah Wyle, Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Katherine Lanasa.

Everyone knows that Liam Neeson has his skills, and his greatest is delivering movies that please large audiences looking for violence, high drama, and a twisting, turning – if often predictable – storyline about kidnap, revenge, or retribution…or even all three at the same time. Honest Thief is one such movie. Originally released in 2020, it finds Neeson playing a professional bank robber, Tom Carter, who is planning on going straight and confessing to his crimes.
