Black Hawk Down, Ridley Scott's modern war thriller starring Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, and a whole cavalcade of great actors, has found a new streaming home. As of March 1, fans of the war genre have been able to stream the gritty and realistic movie on Netflix. The very same day, another great film by Ridley Scott was added to Netflix's library: Blade Runner: The Final Cut is available as well, giving Netflix users the chance to see the best Blade Runner version there is, and the only one Ridley Scott was in complete control of.

Based on the book Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War by Mark Bowden, Black Hawk Down was written by Ken Nolan. The war movie follows the events that transpired in Somalia during the Battle of Mogadishu when a helicopter carrying American soldiers was shot down in an area dominated by militia members loyal to Mohamed Farrah Aidid.

Exclusive: Netflix has added Seoyeon Jang (Butterfly), William Fichtner, Mikaela Hoover and musician Bm — in his acting debut — to the Season 2 cast of Beef, its award-winning anthology series from Lee Sung Jin and A24. American-born, Korea-based Bm is known as leader of the K-Pop co-ed group Kard and his solo rap career.

The quartet rounds out the cast, joining previously announced stars Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, Youn Yuh-jung and Song Kang-Ho.

The new installment centers on a young couple who witness an alarming fight between their boss (Isaac) and his wife (Mulligan), triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner (Youn).

Character details are being kept under wraps. Bm is believed to be playing a former tennis pro running the tennis shop at the country club.

1 character from Prison Break proves that continuing the show past season 1 was the right decision, despite arguments that it should have wrapped up. The intense show never quite captured the heights of its debut season, and that led many fans to theorize that it would have been better as a miniseries, instead of dragging the story out for way too long. This would have allowed Prison Break to preserve a pristine legacy, that only includes quality storytelling. However, some of Prison Break’s best episodes were actually from its second season, which is frequently overlooked.

Although Prison Break’s legacy may have soured following the poor reception of its final few seasons, there’s still some great storytelling in season 2 that doesn’t deserve to be forgotten about. It may be easy (and fair) to claim that it peaked too early, but those first episodes are not the only ones worth watching.

The incredible story told in Black Hawk Down, the 2001 war film directed by Ridley Scott, is getting its own documentary treatment. The documentary series is called Surviving Black Hawk Down, and it's being produced by Netflix and Scott's production company, Rsa.

Per the report by Deadline, Surviving Black Hawk Down is a three-episode documentary series that follows the true events that transpired in 1993 in Somalia. The testimonies by the survivors are the basis of the docu series that will be released on Feb. 10, exclusively on Netflix.

Scott's Black Hawk Down film was written by Ken Nolan, and was inspired by the book Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War by Mark Bowden. Mayfair Witches season 2 has just returned to AMC and AMC+ with new episodes, but the Immortal Universe is set to expand with a third series based on Anne Rice's work. The Talamasca is focused on a secret organization, seeded in both Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, that's meant to keep track of supernatural creatures.

On X (formerly Twitter), the account for Interview with the Vampire shared a brief teaser. It is a brief message. A veteran of the organization (played by Elizabeth McGovern) makes a simple statement: “We watch the witches.” The teaser ends by restating that the Talamasca is always watching and always there. Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches is back. Almost two years after its Season 1 finale aired, Mayfair Witches returns today on AMC and AMC+ with its Season 2 premiere.

Based on the novel trilogy Lives of the Mayfair Witches by Anne Rice, Mayfair Witches follows neurosurgeon Dr. Rowan Fielding, played by Alexandra Daddario, as she learns she is the heiress to a dynasty of powerful witches haunted by a sinister spirit. The supernatural horror series also stars Harry Hamlin as Cortland Mayfair, Tongayi Chirisa as Ciprien Grieve, and Jack Huston as Lasher. The eight-episode first season aired on AMC between Jan. 8 and Feb. 26, 2023. The second season, also consisting of eight episodes, premieres tonight on Jan. 5, and will run until Mar. 2, 2025.

Anne Rice's Immortal Universe is showing no signs of slowing down, with new seasons of both Mayfair Witches and Interview with the Vampire on the way. Speaking with Screen Rant ahead of Mayfair Witches' Season 2 premiere on Jan. 5, Chirisa noted how it would not be unusual for his character to encounter other supernatural beings due to his work with the secret society, Talamasca. "I think for Cip, it's not uncommon to encounter the supernatural," he explained. "I think with what's happening in Season 2, Cip was a certain level of Talamasca agent until certain things start to happen that will finally give him access to some of the deeper secrets of the Talamasca."

Hulu's preparing to spend some time behind the walls with a planned reboot of the hit series Prison Break. A new take on the show, this one from Elgin James, has just taken a major step forward toward becoming a reality.

Per Deadline, Hulu has officially ordered a pilot for the Prison Break reboot. Should the streamer be satisfied with the pilot, a series order will be next. The project comes from James, known for co-creating FX's Sons of Anarchy spinoff series, Mayans M.C., as well as the BBC/Prime Video series The Outlaws. The potential spinoff with James was first reported to be in early development last year, and finally getting its pilot order follows the original Prison Break recently getting a resurgence in viewership on Netflix after a 2-year hiatus on that platform.

Richardson-Sellers joins previously announced cast members Nicholas Denton, William Fichtner, and Elizabeth McGovern. While this series may have been better implemented as a feature film, the series changed up the seasons every year and included a revolving cast of interesting characters.

AMC Networks finally shares a brand new update regarding the current status of its highly-anticipated Anne Rices The Talamasca series.

AMC’s “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches” will make its long-awaited return for Season 2 on January 5, 2025, the show’s cast and producers revealed Thursday from the Main Stage at New York Comic Con. That’s when the show which last aired in February 2023, will finally return to both AMC and AMC+, AMC Networks announced.

The NY Comic-Con panel featured “Mayfair Witches” executive producer Mark Johnson and showrunner Esta Spalding, as well as cast members Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa and Alyssa Jirrels, and included an early screening of the Season 2 premiere.

The show is part of what AMC has dubbed its “Anne Rice Immortal Universe,” along with “Interview with the Vampire” and the upcoming “The Talamasca,” starring Elizabeth McGovern, Nicholas Denton and William Fichtner.

Speaking with Moviefone, Danny Trejo, who portrayed the character Gilbert Trejo in the original Heat, revealed he's talked with Mann in hopes of reprising his role for Heat 2. The actor also believed that his son, also an actor and also named Gilbert Trejo, would be the perfect person to portray a younger version of his character in the movie.

This comes after four months since AMC had greenlit the Mayfair Witches spinoff, which serves as the latest addition to its expanding Immortal Universe, based on Rices popular gothic novel series.

Before landing an official 6-episode series order, the mysterious paranormal organization was first mentioned during Mayfair Witches Season 1, where they were introduced as a group of powerful witches. In Rices books, they are described as a secret society, whose main purpose is to investigate, research and monitor supernatural beings such as vampires, witches, werewolves.

John Lee Hancock will direct the first episode, and John Schwartzman will be the Director of Photography. The first season will have six episodes and will show its cast of characters as they track and contain the witches, vampires and other creatures around the globe. When I hear the name Elizabeth McGovern, I immediately think of ’80s projects she worked on like Ordinary People, Racing with the Moon, Once Upon a Time in America, The Bedroom Window, and, most of all, She’s Having a Baby. Which probably gives away the fact that I have never watched Downton Abbey. McGovern has continued working steadily over the decades since the ’80s movies I mentioned, and these days is likely best known for playing the role of Cora Crawley on Downton Abbey and then reprising that role in two feature films. In the midst of Prison Break enjoying yet another extended run of success after being added to Netflix this summer, one of the show's biggest stars has reportedly found their next project. A new report from Variety revealed that William Fichtner, best known for playing Alexander Mahone opposite Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller in Prison Break, has joined the cast of Talamasca, the upcoming AMC series from the works of Anne Rice. According to the official logline, the series will focus on the men and women responsible for tracking witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe. Filming on the project will begin next month in Manchester, England, and it is currently eyeing a premiere on AMC and AMC+ sometime in 2025.
