Factory 25 has acquired world rights to writer-director-editor Sophia Takal’s “Green,” which won the Chicken & Egg Award at the SXSW Film Festival in 2011. The specialty distributor has scheduled a September 7 theatrical release in New York and Chicago, followed by a VOD release in November. “Green” explores the roots and results of jealousy in the story of a New Yorker who moves to the country with her boyfriend and how their relationship is changed by the friendships they each develop with a blue-collar local girl. Kate Lyn Sheil, Takal, Lawrence Michael Levine, Louis Cancelmi, Alex Ross Perry and Robert Malone star. Lawrence Michael Levine produced; Matthew L. Weiss and Robert Malone co-produced.
