Exclusive: C. Thomas Howell (Seal Team) and Michelle Hurd (Star Trek: Picard) have signed on to star alongside Trevor Donovan and Ashley Elaine in Where the Wind Blows, a romantic Western based on the USA Today bestselling novel by Caroline Fyffe.

Shooting this summer in Montana, the film follows Chase (Donovan), a rugged cowboy and solitary drifter who closed off his heart long ago — until the day he impulsively does a kindness for a beautiful young woman (Elaine), and everything changes in three days.

John Schimke will direct from his script written with Fyffe and Mike Maden. Producers are Schimke, Ashley Elaine and Don Paul with Ae Productions, Inc., and Brandon Smith and Eden Matson at Nova Vento Entertainment. Ricki Maslar, CSA is handling casting.

Lucas Bryant, Bruce Davison and Michelle Hurd will lead the ensemble cast for the family-centric comedy feature 25 Miles to Normal.

Artist View Entertainment has acquired writer-director Joshua Brandon’s movie, which begins shooting this month in Kansas City and St. Joseph, Missouri. Rachel Nichols, Ed Begley Jr. and Dee Wallace round out the ensemble cast.

25 Miles to Normal focuses on a doctor (Bryant) and his estranged father (Davison), who reluctantly agree to reunite with the rest of the family.

Brandon will produce through his Spitfire Cinema banner, alongside B.L. Fleischer for RcR Cinema and Peter Foldy’s Filmstreet Productions. Ricki Maslar is casting the feature.

Exclusive: Western thriller Cottonmouth entered production last week in Oklahoma after receiving a SAG interim agreement.

Cast includes Martin Sensmeier (Westworld), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Esai Morales (Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning), Eric Nelsen (1883), Jonathan Sadowski (Chernobyl Diaries), Alyssa Wapanatâhk (Peter Pan & Wendy), James Landry Hébert (1883), and Kimberly Guerrero (The Glorias).

Brock Harris (Wild Game) is directing from a script he wrote alongside Jared Bonner.

Set in 1895, the film follows friends Ed and Frank (Sensmeier and Sadowski) who become brutal enemies in Oklahoma frontier territory when a rivalry develops over a woman (Wapanatâhk) who is set to inherit a prominent saloon. After a bounty hunter (Nelsen) makes Ed disappear to a tortuous prison run by a sinister warden (Perlman), he must learn the ways of an outlaw from a prison-mate (Morales) to escape and exact his revenge.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Luke Kleintank will star in “The Good Neighbor,” a remake of German thriller “Unter Nachbarn.”

The movie will center on new neighbors David and Robert, who find themselves bonded by a hit-and-run accident. According to the official logline: “When the dead girl’s sister shows up to investigate, David, overcome with guilt, wonders if he can find redemption while Robert is determined to bury the past and keep his new friend for himself, no matter the cost.”

The film will be directed by Stephan Rick (“The Dark Side of the Moon”), from a script by Rick and Ross Partridge (“Room 104”). Rick also directed the original movie.

Dean Altit (“Misfits”) and Yulia Zayceva (“WarHunt”) are producing. Kia Jam and Igor Pronin are executive producing with casting by Ricki Maslar. CAA Media Finance is handling domestic sales, while Highland Film Group will oversee international sales.

What started as a casual campfire hangout among friends quickly turned into an encounter with the spirit world in Along Came the Devil, and now filming has begun in Atlanta on Along Came the Devil 2, which pits an entire town against a demonic entity capable of deadly deeds:

Press Release: Atlanta, April 16, 2019 – DeVan Clan Productions and Gravitas Ventures, a Red Arrow Studios company, announce the commencement of principal photography for Along Came The Devil 2. Production is expected to begin on April 23, 2019 in Atlanta. Visionary, Jason DeVan (Along Came the Devil), who co-wrote the film with his wife Heather DeVan (Along Came the Devil), will direct the sequel. It will star Academy Award nominated actor Bruce Davidson (X-Men), Laura Wiggins (Showtime’s “Shameless”), Mark Ashworth (Magnificent Seven) and Tiffany Fallon (Christmas in the Heartland). The film is expected to be released in theaters and on VOD this fall by Gravitas Ventures.

Reality television shows can take a wrong turn into horror especially when a demonic possession is involved.

From former reality TV producer Seth Grossman, “Inner Demons” follows an intervention-style reality show crew trying to film a sixteen-year-old girl fighting a drug addiction. However, she was suffering from something even more destructive—a demonic possession. The movie is an inquiry into the truth about her—with symptoms between the disturbing and scary intersection of insanity, addiction and true possession.

The film stars Lara Vosburgh and Morgan McClellan.
