Whether he’s an ex-assassin-turned-beekeeper, or an assassin posing as a mechanic, an ex- Special Forces soldier dragged out of retirement for one last mission, or even just a run-of-the-mill unlicensed street salesman, Jason Statham always brings a gritty magnetism to the screen. Even when what’s playing on the screen has been panned by both critics and audiences alike. Such is the case with the 2013 action thriller, Parker, which is now headed to free streaming.
But, while Parker may have been panned at the time, it’s worth a watch for anyone looking for a reliably charming performance from The Stath, who once again demonstrates his particular set of skills in this tale of a professional thief who finds himself double-crossed and left for dead.
Directed by Taylor Hackford and written by John J. McLaughlin, Parker sees Jason Statham team-up with Jennifer Lopez while facing off against The Shield star Michael Chiklis.

He’s Ken Jeong, and he approves this message. “The Masked Singer” panelist and “I Can See Your Voice” host has signed on to play a politician in a project now in development at Fox.
Jeong will star and executive produce the single-camera comedy “How Can We Help,” a workplace ensemble set in the world of politics. Jeong is set to play newly elected congressman Jimmy Choi, a local stain-removal tycoon who takes office representing the 10th District of Boston. As the logline explains, “he causes all kinds of messes for his intrepid staff—none of whom voted for him.”
“How Can We Help” is inspired by retired Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and her early career working in a Congressional district office. Sen. Boxer and her daughter, filmmaker Nicole Boxer, will executive produce as well.
The show is created by one-time “Friends” showrunner Adam Chase and “Royal Pains” co-creator/co-showrunner Andrew Lenchewski.

Walton Goggins has always welcomed the opportunity to play complex characters. His portrayals are always unforgettable, whether it be his breakout role in The Shield or his acclaimed performance in Justified. But the most daring and transformative character he played was in Sons of Anarchy.

If there’s one thing that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is majorly good at to a significant extent, it’s casting the right person for the right role. For one, it got away with one of the best casting of all time when it decided to go forward with the late legendary Chadwick Boseman for the role of Black Panther – a choice so iconic he continues to leave an indelible mark on fans worldwide.

But while Boseman was one, before him, the studio was reportedly eyeing a different actor to embody the respective character in another installment in Fox’s Fantastic Four film series. Per reports, the one considered for the role was none other than the fan-favorite Guardians of the Galaxy actor Djimon Hounsou. However, the said project could unfortunately never materialize.
Djimon Hounsou could have preceded Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther Djimon Hounsou.

Long before the likes of Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby got together to give modern MCU its first take on the Fantastic Four, Kate Mara starred alongside Miles Teller back in 2015. The Marvel bosses will surely be hoping that First Steps proves to be completely different from the 20th Century Fox offering, and in more ways than one.

Apart from being a dud at the box office and critically, 2015’s Fantastic Four also resulted in some dismal claims. However, none stood out more than what Kate Mara said about director Josh Trank, for whom Fantastic Four was the second movie of his career.

There aren’t many comic book properties that seem to be more cursed than the Fantastic Four, as there have been several attempts to bring Marvel’s “First Family” to the big screen that simply have not worked. Despite the depth of the source material that could be used for inspiration, the Fantastic Four franchise has struggled to find the right blend between heart, humor, and action that fans had expected. Although Tim Story’s two Fantastic Four films were met with rather scathing reviews when the first debuted, they certainly look much better in comparison to the disastrous 2015 reboot from Josh Trank. 2005’s Fantastic Four does a great job at examining the complex dynamic between Reed Richard and Ben Grimm, thanks in no small part to the excellent chemistry between Ioan Gruffuddand Michael Chiklis.

Marvel has officially released the teaser for its highly anticipated Fantastic Four reboot, and it seems the studio has taken Michael Chiklis’ advice into account. Known for portraying Ben Grimm, aka The Thing, in Tim Story’s Fantastic Four films, the actor has previously suggested that the reboot should embrace a lighter tone and emphasize the team’s strong familial bond.

The new teaser reflects this approach, offering a brief glimpse into the heroes’ lives both before and after they gain their powers while highlighting the importance of their unity as Marvel’s First Family.
Michael Chiklis offered words of wisdom for Marvel’s Fantastic Four reboot
Over the years, Fantastic Four has seen multiple adaptations, with Josh Trank’s 2015 film being the most recent until Matt Shakman’s MCU reboot. However, despite being based on beloved Marvel characters, the movie was a critical and commercial failure.

The new trailer for "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" showcases the movie's 1960s-inspired world in all of its glory. It also offers us a fantastic glimpse at an even more comic-accurate version of Ben "The Thing" Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) than back in the days when Michael Chiklis rocked the practical costume in Fox's "Fantastic Four" movies. Susan "Invisible Woman" Storm's (Vanessa Kirby) invisibility and force field powers are similarly on display, while Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) gets a "Flame on!" moment that's considerably more heroic-looking than the one Chris Evans' take on the Human Torch pulled in "Deadpool & Wolverine." We even get a closer look at the Fantastic Four's robot, H.E.R.B.I.E.
There's one particular moment the trailer carefully dances around, though. At no point do we see Reed "Mr. Fantastic" Richards' (Pedro Pascal) stretching powers. In fact, the trailer doesn't reference them in any way,...

Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”
The film stars Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us”) as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (“Napoleon”) as the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things) as the Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear”) as the Thing. The cast also includes Ralph Ineson as Galactus, Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne and John Malkovich.
The trailer provides glimpses of each of the heroes’ lives before and after they got their powers, along with a sneak peek of villain Galactus. But most of all, it underlines the importance of the Fantastic Four as a unit: “Whatever life throws at us, we face it together — as a family,” Kirby says in the clip.

In August, Justin Baldoni believed Pac-Man, the yellow, pellet-eating protagonist of the 1980s arcade game, could be the hero he needed to help change the messy narrative surrounding the release of It Ends With Us.
For weeks, rumors of a feud between director-star Baldoni and his co-star Blake Lively had dominated entertainment news headlines, and he was looking for a way to turn the page. According to a text he sent his PR team on Aug. 18, Baldoni suggested sharing the news that he would next direct a Pac-Man movie, something he hoped would help him “move towards the future.”
But Pac-Man, which Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios were developing since 2022, may no longer be in his future. It is among at least a trio of projects that are now in doubt as friction with Lively turned from internet curiosity into a full-fledged legal war.

Michael Chiklis is most (and deservedly) famous for playing corrupt LAPD detective Vic Mackey on "The Shield" -- but before that, he was more of a comedy actor. There's a reason he got the part of Ben Grimm/The Thing in director Tim Story's super family-friendly "Fantastic Four" films.
Before "The Shield," Chiklis' two leading TV roles were "The Commish" (about a wholesome police commissioner in a small New York town) and "Daddio" (a short-lived sitcom about a stay at home dad). Then he made a conscious choice to change his image, shaving his head, going to the gym and ultimately landing "The Shield" due to a run-in with his neighbor, series creator Shawn Ryan.
If this sounds familiar, or Chiklis' past roles make his performance as Mackey seem shocking, remember that Bryan Cranston also played goofy dad Hal on "Malcolm in the Middle" before he became Heisenberg on "Breaking Bad.

The Multiverse Saga has been introducing fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to plenty of new and exciting concepts. That includes returning characters, with actors known for portraying Marvel characters in films that existed long before the MCU took form reprising their roles in cameos or significant supporting capacities, showing us the real beauty in what this chapter of the franchise's story is all about.
It's ensured that fans remained invested in the McU's most stacked storyline yet in terms of titles, holding on through the ups and downs of the more recent projects. Yes, the Multiverse Saga has struggled in ways that the Infinity Saga did not, but it has held its own and brought the movie - and now TV - series back to where it needed to be.
With the Multiverse Saga now set to bow out with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, some major returns are expected.

Sons of Anarchy's explosive series finale marked the end of Jax Teller's chapter in Samcro's history. Having Jax die in a similar way to his father marked the completion of a tragic cycle. Though the finale was supposed to be the end of the story, the last season of Sons of Anarchy reopened some cases that were once closed. The finale alone is responsible for creating a few mysteries on the show.
Not all stories have a definite ending. Season 7 left fans with many unanswered questions, including the truth behind Jt's death. Abel and Thomas' fate also ended on a note of suspense despite Jax leaving them in capable hands. From plot holes to recurring details, Sons of Anarchy is full of mysteries.

I have a lot of trepidation for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but after a recent reveal regarding one specific hero, I feel a lot more confident the movie will be a success. As a die-hard fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) who has been following the action from the beginning in 2008, I still get incredibly excited when a big new title is announced. The Avengers movies blew my mind, and when new superhero teams were announced, there was a lot of enthusiasm.
However, when it comes to The Fantastic Four, it feels like a much bigger undertaking for the MCU, especially when the franchise has been struggling to keep fans engaged. These heroes are literally the First Family when it comes to Marvel, and it's a team that has already been adapted multiple times to largely middling results. And some of that is down to the characters that form the team,...

Everyone loves a good Jason Statham movie, and just because it is Christmas, that is apparently no reason for anyone to stop watching the British hard man do his thing in the 2013 action crime thriller, Parker. Despite being over a decade old, and boasting some poor reviews, the Taylor Hackford-directed movie is a hit again on free streaming, this time jumping into the Tubi Top 10.
In the movie, Statham takes on the titular role of a professional thief with a strict code of honor to follow. However, a little betrayal from his crew and all of that goes straight out of the window, setting Parker on a blistering journey of revenge that comes with the usual action set-pieces, hand-to-hand fist-fights, and just a little blood spillage to keep everyone happy. At least that is what seems to be happening with Tubi viewers rediscovering the film now that the festivities of Christmas are almost done.

Mere months ahead of the premiere of his next film, A Working Man, previously titled Levon’s Trade, one of Jason Statham’s older films is making rounds on a free streaming service. Statham stars alongside Jennifer Lopez and Michael Chiklis in Parker, the 2013 action thriller that’s streaming exclusively on Tubi, where it has climbed to #9 on the platform's charts. The film follows a thief with a code of ethics who is betrayed by his crew and left for dead. His plot for revenge? Take on a new persona and find a woman on the inside to steal their next score. Parker also stars Nick Nolte and Wendell Pierce, and earned scores of 41% from critics and 48% from general audiences on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes.

With all eyes on James Gunn’s Superman trailer, many comic book fans may have actually forgotten that Marvel Studios also has some big movies coming out in 2025. Among those is The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which has had a brand new look at Marvel’s First Family unveiled at Disney Celebra in Argentina. As shared on X/Twitter, a new piece of art gives the best look yet at what the new iteration of the fab foursome will look like when they make their debut next year.
There has been a strange lull around Marvel Studios recently, despite several big releases coming down the line in what could well be a make-or-break year for the multi-million dollar franchise. After a terrible run of box office results between 2021 and 2023, this year only Deadpool & Wolverine flew the flag for the MCU at the worldwide box office – and what a bout of...

There is simply no refuting the fact that the possibilities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are quite frankly endless. The franchise was always known for pushing boundaries, but that has been taken to a whole new level since it began telling the story of the Multiverse Saga as this has allowed it to push the boundaries of not just one fictional world, but countless.

In the glitz and glamour of television, while some shows last for many seasons, others fizzle out quickly. For No Ordinary Family as well, it premiered in 2010 with very high expectations blending family drama with superhero storytelling. But since it could not live up to its promises, the show was canceled after just one season, leaving fans disappointed.

The show followed the lives of the Powell family, whose ordinary lives took a drastic turn after they mysteriously survived a plane crash that granted them superpowers. While this premise was not something completely out of the box, the humorous elements surely made it a lot more interesting. Based on this it also had a very strong start with viewers really appreciating the show and its engaging storyline.
However, it failed to maintain this momentum and was canceled after the first season itself.

Whether they're satirical, romantic, or grimly resigned, these apocalyptic movies don't pull any punches when it comes to the end of the world. The post-apocalyptic genre has been gaining popularity in both film and television in recent years, but the best movies about the end of the world are from all eras of cinema. Many narratives touch upon the search for solutions to the coming catastrophes and the search for new worlds. While it's nice to watch a film about the end of the world that ends on an uplifting note, some movies opt for a melancholic tone.
There are plenty of fun post-apocalyptic sci-fi movies, but just as many stories grapple with the lead-up to the final days, finding some way of avoiding the apocalypse. However, there's something satisfying about a movie that pushes its characters and the audience to face the reality that everything must eventually come to an end.

That time of year is here. As we close out the calendar year, we get ready for cancellations and renewals. Which of our favorite broadcast TV shows are likely to make it through to another TV season?
Fall 2024 is the most normal fall we’ve had since the pandemic in 2020. Most TV shows got off to their usual September starts, and we’ve had normal fall finales and we’re getting ready for January returns. The broadcast networks have had a mixture of reality and scripted shows.
For this post, we take a look at the scripted lineup. The non-scripted shows have slightly different requirements as they’re not as expensive to make, while the scripted lineup tends to be more focused on linear ratings, especially when it comes to a star-studded lineup.
We’re only looking at the Big 5 broadcast networks. Here’s the statements we’ll make:

Jason Statham is the king of taking chicken sh*t and turning it into chicken salad as his immense and magnetic charisma and bone-crunching action scenes can elevate even the most mundane of action flicks, and 2013’s Parker is no exception. Directed by Taylor Hackford (Ray) and written by John J. McLaughlin (Black Swan), Parker follows Statham in the titular role of a professional thief with a code: never steal from those who can’t afford it, and never hurt those who don’t deserve it. But after being screwed over and left for dead by his crew, who are led by crime boss Melander (Michael Chiklis), Parker makes the decision to get his own back, eventually ending up in Palm Beach, where he teams up with real estate agent Leslie (Jennifer Lopez) to infiltrate the gang and hijack their next big score.

Action movie icon Jason Statham knows what he’s good at, and damn if he isn’t one of the best to ever do it, with the charismatic star able to bring any middling action fare at least somewhat to life using his particular set of skills. This is never truer than with the 2013 crime thriller Parker, which adapts one of the novels by the late Donald Westlake, and is all set to stream for free.
While the movie itself was met with mixed reviews at the time, the presence of The Stath never fails to impress, with The Beekeeper star bringing his usual gritty magnetism to the role of a professional thief who finds himself double-crossed and left for dead. Directed by Taylor Hackford and written by John J. McLaughlin, Parker sees Jason Statham team-up with Jennifer Lopez while butting (bald) head with (bald) head against The Shield star Michael Chiklis.

For NBC, it’s all about St. Denis Medical. You may groan at the idea of another medical show right now, but this one is a comedy. Michael Chiklis is doling out a second chance in Collider's exclusive sneak peek of this weeks episode of Accused. The second season of the crime-centered anthology series returns on Tuesday night with an episode titled Justins Story. While the full details of the case that audiences will be hearing arent revealed in the exclusive teaser, we certainly get a feel for what very well could lead to a courtroom visit. Then, the truth comes out, and we discover that the teenager is involved with selling drugs with the coach telling the young...
