Has played Gretsch guitars throughout his career and in 1990, he became the first guitarist since Chet Atkins to be honored with a signature-model Gretsch, the "Brian Setzer 6120", now one of an extensive line of Setzer signature models.

He married DeAnna at the Courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida on Valentine's Day after playing a concert the previous night.

Raised in Massapequa, Long Island, New York.
