Undeniably one of the small screen's most criminally-underrated gems, the wholesome and zany 2009 sitcom The Middlefeatured a stellar cast of both new and familiar faces, with TV greats Patricia Heaton and Neil Flynn headlining the series as the perpetually exhausted Frankie and Mike Heck as they attempt to raise their three rambunctious kids in a small Indiana town. The wildly entertaining comedy ran for nine seasons from 2009 to 2018 and spawned 215 episodes, keeping audiences laughing week-after-week as the kooky clan found themselves in chaotic situations and engaging in uproarious shenanigans.
Those looking for an endearing family sitcom and some good-natured humor need not look further than The Middle, which is every bit as fun and enjoyable as the more well-known fellow shows like Young Sheldon, Modern Family, and Malcolm in the Middle. The ABC original hit currently holds a stellar 88% Popcornmeter score from fans and a 7.7 IMDb rating based on 56,000 reviews,...

Earlier this year, Frasier Crane left the building once again. Paramount+, which aired the Frasier revival series for two seasons beginning in 2023, canceled the classic sitcom do-over in January 2024. The cancellation wasn't all too surprising, given that the revival hadn't made nearly the same splash as its much more popular original NBC parent series, but the axing still stung.
What made the Frasier cancellation less final and more hopeful was the intention of CBS Studios to shop the series around to other networks and streamers in an effort to save the series and find a new home for season 3. It's been over a month since the cancellation news broke without any kind of positive update, and while there still isn't anything concrete, the show's star is speaking out.
Kelsey Grammer, who played Frasier Crane on Cheers before the original Frasier's 11 seasons, gave a new interview where he provides fans a...

If you grew up in the early 2000s, chances are you spent many evenings with Ray Barone (Ray Romano) and his eccentric family in the hit comedy series "Everybody Loves Raymond." For good reason. This critically acclaimed sitcom about Ray, a Newsday sportswriter, dealing with his put-upon wife Debra (Patricia Heaton), bickering parents (Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts), and neurotic brother Robert (Brad Garrett), perfectly captures the working-class family and all its quirks, resulting in a heartfelt, often hilarious look at everyday life.
Running from 1997 to 2005, "Raymond" won 15 Primetime Emmys, garnered critical acclaim, and averaged over 20 million viewers during its peak. More impressively, the cast became household names, forever tied to their characters. Still, while many cast members achieved even greater success following the show's finale, others faded into obscurity or endured heartbreaking tragedy. Interested to learn more? Even though it may seem like pretty much every show is getting reboots, revivals or sequels, not all actors agree that revisiting a hit series is a good idea. While promoting her new movie The Unbreakable Boy, TV star Patricia Heaton commented on possible reboots of her two hit comedy series, Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle. Fans of both series shouldn't get their hopes up, though, because the actor thinks both shows are "perfection" and don't need any new episodes.

Family sitcom The Middle was a massive hit for ABC throughout its nine-season run. Despite the show experiencing a resurgence in popularity, Patricia Heaton, who played matriarch Frances Heck, recently shot down the possibility of a reboot.
"The way they wrapped it up, where we got to flash-forward in the lives of the Heck family and see where they all ended up, it was so beautiful, and I think people have such a good feeling about the show," she told Yahoo! Entertainment. "The Middle is having such a resurgence on TikTok, of all places, that kids are rediscovering or discovering it for the first time. It's a beautiful thing."

Zachary Levi believes that endorsing Donald Trump’s bid to become the President of the United States again “was more important than saving” his own 25-year-old acting career. The Chuck and Shazam! star’s political beliefs “trumped” — obvious pun intended — any worries he had about losing job opportunities in Hollywood, and he continues to act today, even after jumping aboard the "Trump Train" for all to witness. Levi said on The Megyn Kelly Show, while doing the press tour for his new film The Unbreakable Boy:
"I felt peace because I knew that this was more important than saving my career. I think we too often fall into these paradigms, these thought processes of self-preservation, and it is not good. We need to be wise, and we want to survive, and we want to live and flourish and all those things, but we can’t merely make decisions off of,...

The Unbreakable Boy is a father’s loving tribute to his son. Based on the novel “The Unbreakable Boy: A Father’s Fear, a Son’s Courage, and a story of Unconditional Love by Scott Michael LeRette. It’s a sweet story from a dad connecting to his son. In the Jon Gunn directed feature based on the book, Zachary Levi stars as Scott, and Jacob Laval stars as Austin, a young man diagnosed with a rare brittle-bone disease and autism. Also starring Patricia Heaton, Meghann Fahy, and Peter Facinelli, who also is one of the film’s producers.

Zachary Levi recently opened up about his public support for Donald Trump, saying he felt “at peace” with the decision, despite knowing it could impact his acting career. The “Shazam” star made these remarks during an appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show” while promoting his new film, “The Unbreakable Boy.”
Levi initially endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for president but shifted his support to Trump once he became the Republican nominee. Zachary Levi appeared on “The Megyn Kelly Show” to promote his new movie, “The Unbreakable Boy,” and said he was “at peace” when he made the decision last year to publicly support Donald Trump for president. The “Shazam” actor originally endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. but fully backed Trump when the latter became the Republican nominee.
“I felt peace because I knew that this was more important than saving my career,” Levi explained. “I think we too often fall into these paradigms, these thought processes of self-preservation, and it is not good. We need to be wise and we want to survive and we want to live and flourish and all those things, but we can’t merely make decisions off of, ‘Well I hope nothing bad happens to me.’ You got to sacrifice.’”
Levi officially endorsed Trump at a rally in Michigan on Sept. 28 before introducing a conversation between Rfk Jr.

Zachary Levi is reflecting on why it was more important to be candid about his support for Donald Trump than worry about his career.
While on SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Show, the Shazam! actor recalled being asked by Tulsi Gabbard to moderate a town hall that she and Robert Kennedy Jr. were doing in support of Trump. Despite initially feeling hesitant to do so, Levi said he “felt peace” after doing it.

Patricia Heaton starred in two long-running sitcoms, The Middle and Everybody Loves Raymond, but don’t expect her to reprise any of those roles soon.
The actress recently revealed that she wouldn’t want either comedy show to get rebooted.
“It was just sort of perfection — and you don’t wanna mess with perfection,” Heaton told Yahoo! Entertainment. “You know, we’ve lost so many cast members, you couldn’t reboot it because it won’t be the same show.”
Heaton played Debra Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond for nine seasons, which ran on CBS from 1996 through 2005. In that role, Heaton was nominated seven times for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards, taking the trophy in 2000 and 2001.

Tim Allen’s classic ‘90s sitcom/anti-drug psyop Home Improvement is now available on Netflix for everyone to… “enjoy” feels like the wrong word.
The show’s new streaming availability has at least been leading some viewers to make new discoveries concerning the show, and not just because we can now freeze frame any scene we like to try and catch a glimmer of co-star Patricia Heaton’s deep resentment of her wildly overpaid TV husband.
Someone has just discovered a hilarious meta-joke within the show — but it was almost certainly a complete accident.

In a recent interview with MovieWeb, Patricia Heaton made no bones about it — faith drives her life and her career choices. "My faith has always played a prominent role in my life. It's the center of who I am, my relationship with God." This guiding principle is apparent in her role in The Unbreakable Boy, a movie that may not be explicitly about faith, but rather how faith plays a role in an extended family's battle with a variety of challenges.
While faith was a factor when accepting the role of Mother Superior in the upcoming horror film The Ritual, there were other factors at play:
"When I heard that Al Pacino was doing this movie, I didn't even ask what the script was. 'Yes, I'll do it.' [It is] right up my alley as a Catholic, it's about an exorcism, and it's also a true story..."
So how was working with Pacino?...

Gal Gadot, Mayim Bialik, Gwyneth Paltrow, Patricia Heaton and Michael Rappaport were among those in Hollywood to react the first Israeli hostage releases on Sunday.
Romi Gonen, Emily Damari and Doron Steinbrecher were the first three hostages released from Gaza on Sunday morning. They arrived in Israel, the military announced, hours after the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas took hold.
“Doron, Romi and Emily are home,” Gadot wrote on social media. “Three families reunited. Still holding onto hope for the 94 hostages who remain.”
Bialik also joined in the celebration, adding on Instagram. “We won’t give up until they are all home.”
Also on Instagram, Heaton shared her exuberance at the return of the three female hostages. “Home. Waiting on the other dear ones,” she said in a reel.

The acclaimed sitcom "Modern Family" was an enormous hit with audiences and influential on contemporary American television. Running for 11 seasons from 2009 to 2020, the ABC comedy took the mockumentary format, popularized by sitcoms like "The Office," out of the workplace and into a domestic context. And while the conclusion of "Modern Family" left a void in network television, there are plenty of similar comedies that fans can connect with.
From other family-based network sitcoms to shows that adopt a similar mockumentary style, "Modern Family" has a growing number of like-minded counterparts. These shows offer hilarious perspectives on the ever-evolving state of the American family, reflecting the times that we live in. The types of families examined range from lower-middle-class families struggling to make ends meet to the ultra-rich who are brought down a few pegs to comical effect. Tim Allen's beloved 1990s sitcom is finally coming to Netflix. Home Improvement ran for eight seasons on ABC, and was a hit with fans, who made it a ratings success for Disney. Even former President Jimmy Carter had a cameo on the show.
Home Improvement premiered in 1991 and followed the life of Tim "Tool Man" Taylor (Allen), the host of a local home improvement show who is married to Jill (Patricia Heaton) and raising three sons. The show ran until May 1999 and was created by Carmen Finestra, Matt Williams, and David McFadzean. It's classic 1980s and 90s sitcom fare that became popular early on.
The characters are what made Home Improvement such a hit. Those on the Tool Time show brought plenty of laughs, including Richard Karn as his co-host, Al, and Pamela Anderson as Lisa, prior to her famous role on Baywatch.
Meanwhile, Taylor's home life made for memorable episodes and characters.

Running from 1996-2005, CBS' Everybody Loves Raymond was one of the most popular and best sitcoms of its era. It may have been an ensemble cast, including the likes of Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Peter Boyle, and Doris Roberts as Ray Barones' wild family, but with his name in the title, it was Ray Romano who was the lead. Those who watched might have loved the show, but we didn't always love Raymond himself. So many episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond saw Ray getting himself in trouble because of his own selfishness in how he treated his wife and the rest of his family. One of the show's best episodes even had Ray tape over his and Debra's wedding tape with a football game. That might sound like a well-worn sitcom plot device, but it actually happened to a writer for Everybody Loves Raymond, when he taped over his wedding...

Linda Lavin, who made herself a household name as the title character in the long-running sitcom Alice, has passed away from complications from lung cancer. She was 87.

[This story contains spoilers from the season two finale of Frasier.]
Midway through the first episode of Frasier’s second season, star Kelsey Grammer picks up an Enchanted Snooker Ball — think of a British Magic 8-Ball — and asks, “Does Frasier Crane still got it?” The answer — “Indubitably” — does the opposite of comforting him as he continues settling into life back in Boston. Instead, it sends Dr. Crane on a warpath. His anger is warranted, because moments earlier he discovered that the toy gave the same answer to his son when he questioned quitting Harvard to become a fireman. Frasier frantically shakes the ball again, asking if his curmudgeon best friend Alan Cornwall (played masterfully by Nicholas Cornwall) used the same toy to give his son the advice. The ball answers, “Obviously, you bloody fool.”
The joke lands so well that the laughter from the live audience can still be heard long after the scene ends.

The showrunners of Frasier offer an update on season 3, teasing an appearance from a major Cheers cast member. The revival, which streams on Paramount+, recently closed out season 2 with a holiday episode that was big on emotional reunions, new romantic possibilities, and a deeper focus on the supporting cast. So far, however, Frasier season 3 has not been confirmed.
In an interview with TV Insider, co-showrunners and executive producers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, the possibility of a third installment is discussed. Fraiser Season 2 Finale Review: Revival's Storytelling Shift Is A Risk That Has An Emotional Pay-Off
Warning! Spoilers ahead for the Frasier season 2 finale.
The Frasier revival's season 2 finale wraps up a slightly improved sophomore year by sticking to its signature storytelling approach. It's no secret that when the Paramount+ reboot of the beloved sitcom was announced, it was met with a divisive response considering the risks of bringing it back. It didn't help that the majority of its original ensemble isn't involved, including David Hyde Pierce's Niles and Jane Leeves' Daphne. The Frasier season 1 finale effectively addressed the show's premise, which was about Frasier reconnecting with his son, Freddy. However, Paramount+ deemed that the series deserved at least another year.

Warning: Contains Spoilers for Frasier season 2, episode 10.Frasier season 2's ending brings the reboot's sophomore outing to a close with some high emotions, high jinks, and high holiday cheer. The second season of the show, building on Frasier season 1's ending, has seen Kelsey Grammer's character connect more with his son, Freddy, as well as find a new romance with bartender Holly Quagliano (with Patricia Heaton joining the Frasier reboot's cast). Those two threads are both particularly important in the finale, "Father Christmas."
The episode is mostly centered around reuniting Alan Cornwall with his daughter, unbeknownst to both of them. It's very much a Frasier Crane well-meaning, hair-brained scheme that descends into farce, with both sides discovering the plan to get them together and each being angry about it. But, this being Christmas, things work out well in the end: Alan and his daughter finally talk, Holly joins the Christmas party,...

Warning: Spoilers for Fraiser season 2, episode 9
Frasier Crane seems to have found his significant other in Holly Quagliano in Frasier. Played by actor Patricia Heaton, Holly debuted earlier in Frasier season 2, with her and Frasier finally becoming a couple in season 2, episode 9. The episode in question shows Frasier trying to prove he can be "cool" enough for Holly, only to unwittingly take her to Olivia's dreaded murder mystery party. Thus far, Heaton has been a refreshing addition to the Frasier reboot's cast.
Frasier isn't the first show Heaton has starred in alongside Kelsey Grammer. This series continues the pair's long-running work relationship, setting up a compelling new romance for the show. Not only do Grammer and Heaton work well together on-screen, but Holly is also the romantic foil that Dr. Crane needs to evolve as a character in 2023's Frasier revival.

The cast of the Frasier reboot series hasnt felt totally cohesive so far, but season 2, episode 9, Murder Most Finch, seems to have finally fixed that problem. Murder Most Finch sees Olivia throwing a surprise murder mystery party and Frasier doing everything in his power to excuse himself and his date from taking part in the fun. The episode continues Frasiers romance with his latest love interest, down-to-earth bartender Holly Quagliano, played by Everybody Loves Raymonds Patricia Heaton, which is his most promising relationship in the reboot to date.

Frasier season 2, episode 9 may have permanently shut down talk of a romance between Frasier Crane and Roz Doyle. The idea of Frasier and Roz getting together dates way back to the original show. By their very nature as two close characters in a sitcom, the show naturally toyed with the idea (albeit not to the same level of Niles Crane and Daphne Moon), though it mostly seemed to come down on the side of keeping them friends. However, there were some exceptions.
Frasier season 7, episode 18, "Hot Pursuit," explored the sexual tension between them as they shared a hotel room. Then, finally, they did sleep together in season 9, as seen in episode 23, "The Guilt Trippers," but both had regrets. When Peri Gilpin returned as part of the Frasier reboot's cast in season 1, the show further played around with the idea, perhaps suggesting that, decades later, now might be the time for...

Much like the original series, the "Frasier" revival has continued to provide an array of guest stars with each new episode. The following contains major spoilers from Frasier Season 2, Episode 9, "Murder Most Finch," now streaming on Paramount+.
Frasier Season 2, Episode 9, "Murder Most Finch" is the murder mystery episode the cast and producers raved about -- and it's very easy to see how they all fell in love with it. What could have been the most archetypal sitcom half-hour is instead a delightfully quirky diversion. And in all the madness, there's still something to say about the characters, too.
"Murder Most Finch" starts with a typical Frasier Crane predicament, as he tries to strike up a romantic relationship with Holly, the bartender he met in Season 2, Episode 2, "Cyrano, Cyrano." But when the two attend Olivia Finch's party and realize that she has an ulterior motive, the plot takes a sharp left turn. As the Frasier cast members throw themselves wholeheartedly into the increasingly weird happenings, the viewer feels like a guest at the party themselves.

This rollicking penultimate episode leaned hard on everything this series does well and left only one real mystery: Why did we have to wait so long for an episode this good?
On Frasier Season 2 Episode 9, we were treated to the return of not just one but two favorite guest stars and a storyline that played to the strengths of characters new and old.
This episode made me laugh the most out of the season so far, and I even wished it had lasted a few minutes longer.

It isn’t hard to see why motherhood has been a favorite topic for 21st century horror filmmakers. As humans become more acutely aware of the involuntary forces and events that have shaped their own demons, filmmakers have gleefully embraced the challenge of showing us that our own damaged psyches are often scarier than anything the outside world can show us. Becoming a mother is a singular experience that can inflict trauma on both one’s self and the children for whom you’re responsible, making it fertile ground for directors looking to haunt our nightmares.
The latest entry in the subgenre is “The Beldham,” a new horror film that stars Patricia Heaton as an aging mother who takes her daughter and newborn granddaughter into her home. While the two women navigate uniquely vulnerable time periods in their lives, they find themselves haunted by an ominous presence that might predate both of them.
