Saturday Night Live Season 50 last aired a new episode on March 8. Lady Gaga returned to Studio 8H to serve as both the host and musical guest. It was an absurd episode that matched Gaga's larger-than-life persona.

But then things got quiet as we moved through the remainder of March. Unfortunately, that trend will continue. There will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight, March 22.

Instead, NBC will reair the December 21, 2014 episode. Tune in to revisit Martin Short as host, assisted by musical guest Hozier.

Mikey Madison, fresh from winning the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Anora, will host on March 29 with Morgan Wallen as musical guest.

Madison is making her SNL hosting debut, while Wallen is making his second appearance. The country singer previously featured in December 2020, two months after he was dropped from an episode after failing to take Covid precautions on a night out.

Black is hosting for the fourth time, and his April 5 episode coincides with his appearance in the A Minecraft Movie, which hits theaters the day before. He will be joined by Elton John and Brandi Carlile as musical guests. John has actually only on SNL only twice, first as musical guest in 1982 and then as host and musical guest in 2011. He has, however, been impersonated a lot on the show.

Elton John and Brandi Carlile are heading to primetime. The duo will star in a new concert special “An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile,” CBS announced Tuesday.

The one-hour special is set to air on April 6 at 8 p.m. local time, and it will feature live performances, stories about the pair’s friendship and a look at their upcoming album, Who Believes In Angels? John and Carlile will also perform some of their individual songs and classics from John’s discography, and Carlile will also share an unreleased track.

The special is being produced by Fulwell Entertainment, while Ben Winston, Gabe Turner and Sally Wood are serving as executive producers. It will be filmed on March 26 at London’s Palladium Theatre. It will also stream live for Paramount+ with Showtime users. Other Paramount+ users can stream next-day on the platform.
