Sarah Yarkin (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Nicholas Cirillo (Outer Banks) have signed on to star in The Silence Game, a psychological thriller written and directed by John Rosman (New Life).

Currently filming in New Mexico, the film follows a disillusioned young man who, after following a mysterious woman into a camp of outsiders, falls under the influence of a charismatic leader preaching virtue in “The Silence Game,” an unnerving game with simple but terrifying rules. As the ideology takes a darker turn, he must grapple with its intoxicating philosophy before it spirals into something far more sinister.

Cirillo is currently in Hulu’s Murdaugh Murders and just wrapped production for the upcoming Black Mirror. He appeared last year with Natasha Lyonne in Rian Johnson’s Poker Face for Peacock and Netflix’s Outer Banks.

While he is sure to be just a little biased, The Fantastic Four: First Steps actor Paul Walter Hauser is confident that the upcoming Marvel Studios reboot will be the best movie released this year - and may even prove to be an historical benchmark for the studio.

While speaking to The Direct, the Black Bird star - who is believed to be playing the villainous Mole Man in the movie - hyped up Marvel's First Family's latest big-screen adventure by comparing it to the likes of the first Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther. He also alluded to First Steps getting the MCU "back on track."

The Season 4 plot follows legendary stand-up comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) as she gears up for her nightly talk show with the help of her on-again/off-again comedy writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder). Both Smart and Einbinder are also leading their respective Emmy contests for Best Comedy Actress and Best Comedy Supporting Actress.

Severance is back for Season 2 after a three-year delay, and it's expected to receive a goat-load of Emmy love. At an artificial intelligence summit in Paris last month, Vice President Jd Vance slammed the European Union for what he called “excessive regulation” around the advancement of artificial intelligence, adding that such regulation will hinder innovation in the tech industry.

His comments were music to the ears of tech giants like Google and OpenAI, who last week submitted formal proposals to the White House Office of Science and Technology (Ostp) regarding the U.S. AI Action Plan. Their suggestions, essentially: Regulation? Who needs that?

Specifically, both companies included sections in their proposals regarding copyright and argued that, when it comes to copyright laws, the government should apply the fair use doctrine to AI. The upcoming season of Johnson’s smash-hit crime series premieres at PaleyFest in LA on Saturday, March 29, at 2 Pt at the Dolby Theatre. Rian Johnson, Natasha Lyonne, and new guest stars will be there to introduce the first episode and hold an in-depth conversation about the show’s celebrated return.

All the way back in February 2023, we got the good news that Poker Face starring Natasha Lyonne was renewed for a second season. However it's been very delayed due to the actors and writers strikes that happened that year. Which meant the wait between seasons has been longer than anticipated. Thankfully now, we have lots of updates about Poker Face season 2, including the release date!

Created by Rian Johnson, the series became an instant hit when it premiered on Peacock. Poker Face season 2 now has an official teaser and release date. The Peacock series, which premiered in 2023, was created by Knives Out and Glass Onion writer-director Rian Johnson and stars Natasha Lyonne as Charlie Cale, a woman who is on the run and solves various murder mysteries while evading detection. Natasha Lyonne is back as TV’s favorite gumshoe detective in the first teaser for Poker Face season two, and the footage teases the roster of high-wattage guest stars who have been brought in to play in Charlie’s murder mystery sandbox when the series returns.

The upcoming Peacock crime thriller series “M.I.A.” has added three series regulars, Variety has learned.

Shannon Gisela (“Chasers”), Brittany Adebumola and Dylan Jackson are all set to star in the series, which was originally picked up back in August 2024 with a straight-to-series order.

Per the official logline, “Running drugs is a family affair for Etta Tiger Jonze (Gisela), but when the family business is threatened, Etta is thrust into a life she never expected, forcing her to use her wits to survive as she navigates Miami’s criminal underground.”
