Sarah Yarkin (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Nicholas Cirillo (Outer Banks) have signed on to star in The Silence Game, a psychological thriller written and directed by John Rosman (New Life).
Currently filming in New Mexico, the film follows a disillusioned young man who, after following a mysterious woman into a camp of outsiders, falls under the influence of a charismatic leader preaching virtue in “The Silence Game,” an unnerving game with simple but terrifying rules. As the ideology takes a darker turn, he must grapple with its intoxicating philosophy before it spirals into something far more sinister.
Cirillo is currently in Hulu’s Murdaugh Murders and just wrapped production for the upcoming Black Mirror. He appeared last year with Natasha Lyonne in Rian Johnson’s Poker Face for Peacock and Netflix’s Outer Banks.

While he is sure to be just a little biased, The Fantastic Four: First Steps actor Paul Walter Hauser is confident that the upcoming Marvel Studios reboot will be the best movie released this year - and may even prove to be an historical benchmark for the studio.
While speaking to The Direct, the Black Bird star - who is believed to be playing the villainous Mole Man in the movie - hyped up Marvel's First Family's latest big-screen adventure by comparing it to the likes of the first Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther. He also alluded to First Steps getting the MCU "back on track."
“So, I think our movie, Fantastic Four: First Steps, to me, only speaking from my opinion, everything I witnessed and took part in, everything I felt while in the presence of the creatives on the film, I believe we are the Marvel movie of the year.

Pedro Pascal is currently doing the rounds to promote The Last of Us season 2 and we're expecting him to field more than a few questions about The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
The first came during Jimmy Kimmel Live! and the host couldn't resist asking the actor about Reed Richards and Sue Storm's relationship...in the bedroom, that is. Presenting a panel from J. Michael Straczynski's Fantastic Four comic book run, Kimmel wondered what the Invisible Woman might have been referring to when she praised her husband's "wonderful set of abilities."
Confirming that "everything has to stretch," Pascal argued that it simply means the leader of the Fantastic Four is "an incredible conversationalist in bed."
It's a fun exchange and not a mystery we anticipate The Fantastic Four: First Steps tackling when it arrives in theaters this summer!
Reed and Sue will, however, have a child in the upcoming reboot.

We’re just four months away from a big moment for Marvel lovers, and I can’t wait to see how this one turns out. There’s something special brewing with the upcoming release of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps,’ a movie that’s set to bring Marvel’s first family back to the big screen.
I’ve been keeping an eye on this project since it was first announced, and it’s exciting to see how it’s coming together. This isn’t just another superhero flick—it’s the kickoff to Phase Six of the MCU, directed by Matt Shakman, who gave us ‘WandaVision.’ With a cast that’s already turning heads and a story that promises a unique twist, here’s what we know so far about ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps.’

The first teaser for Poker Face Season 2 has dropped, promising more mystery-solving fun with Natasha Lyonne's human lie detector, Charlie Cale. The first season earned huge accolades for its clever updating of 1970s TV staples like Columbo. Every week, a new murderer appears, seemingly getting away with the perfect crime, only for Charlie to show up and unravel it all with her uncanny ability to spot someone deceiving her.
In keeping with the Columbo formula, Poker Face brings in a rotating series of high-profile guest stars, who usually appear as the various killers of the week. The template provides A-list actors with a meaty role, and yet doesn't tie them down to the long-term commitments of appearing in multiple episodes. The second season looks to capitalize on the success of the first with an impressive array of announced guest stars. With a few exceptions, it is not known who...

For fans of the beloved and Emmy award-winning adult animated comedy Big Mouth, the announcement that the series' eighth season would be its last was a sad moment. But it's been a long two years, and I think we can all agree that with time comes not only age, but wisdom, as our favorite Bridgeton teens well know by now. And if they don't, well, they will by the time the final season premieres this spring, as its streaming home Netflix announced alongside a bevy of guest stars that are sure to impress even the most unaffected of teens (and adults).
Slated to hit our screens on May 23, 2025, the Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg-created Big Mouth will go out with a bang. But it won't just be physical or comedic bangs — our emotions are about to get punched in the gut, too. Because according to the official synopsis, we're...

Whether you’re into crime thrillers, comedies, or mockumentaries, Peacock has something for everyone.
Peacock doesn’t always get a lot of love, but it’s a great choice for TV if you’re into a solid mix of prestige dramas, killer comedies, and network hits. With next-day episodes from NBC and a growing slate of originals, it’s got everything from binge-worthy mysteries to hilarious comedies and some seriously underrated gems.
It might not be pumping out original series at the same rate as some of the bigger streamers, but its steady pace has made it a serious player in the streaming wars. Some of my favorite shows live here, so I wanted to countdown my top 7 shows streaming on the Peacock right now.

Like Academy-Award-winner Zoe Saldana and Academy Award-nominated actor Sebastian Stan, Marvel actress and Emmy nominee Elizabeth Olsen has been keeping herself extremely busy with impressive and acclaimed character work when she’s not actively part of the MCU. Olsen gained much acclaim for her turn opposite Carrie Coon and Natasha Lyonne in last year’s “His Three Daughters,” for Netflix and this year, she’s starring in the sci-fi drama, “The Assessment” alongside Alicia Vikander.

Netflix has announced that the eighth and final season of Big Mouth will premiere globally on the streaming service on May 23, 2025.
In the 10-episode season, our beloved Bridgeton teens tackle new challenges as high schoolers, such as driving, drugs, sexual inexperience, enthusiastic consent, porn, and the teenage mind, cancel culture, their changing bodies, and (in the end) fear of the looming future.

When Jennifer Euston was casting Orange Is the New Black, it stands to reason that she was selecting interesting performers first and, given the show’s evocative opening credits, interesting faces second. But somewhere on the opening page of criteria, there must have been a listing that read: “Must also be capable of fronting a Columbo-esque mystery procedural.”
In the case of Kate Mulgrew, she’d already starred in the iconic spinoff series, Mrs. Columbo.
Natasha Lyonne is weeks away from the return of her Emmy-nominated turn as human lie detector Charlie Cale in Peacock’s Poker Face.

The 2025 Emmy nominations won't be announced until July 15, but Gold Derby already has a head start on handicapping the races.
First things first, we are predicting last year's Best Comedy Series champion, Hacks, to win again for its upcoming season, which premieres April 10 on Max. After all, the Emmys love repeats. The Season 4 plot follows legendary stand-up comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) as she gears up for her nightly talk show with the help of her on-again/off-again comedy writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder). Both Smart and Einbinder are also leading their respective Emmy contests for Best Comedy Actress and Best Comedy Supporting Actress.
Severance is back for Season 2 after a three-year delay, and it's expected to receive a goat-load of Emmy love. Adam Scott, Britt Lower, John Turturro, and Zach Cherry play office workers at the sinister Lumon Industries, who all agree to separate their workplace memories from their external memories.

Exclusive: Emmy-winning actor, writer, director and producer Dan Levy has signed with CAA.

At an artificial intelligence summit in Paris last month, Vice President Jd Vance slammed the European Union for what he called “excessive regulation” around the advancement of artificial intelligence, adding that such regulation will hinder innovation in the tech industry.
His comments were music to the ears of tech giants like Google and OpenAI, who last week submitted formal proposals to the White House Office of Science and Technology (Ostp) regarding the U.S. AI Action Plan. Their suggestions, essentially: Regulation? Who needs that?
Specifically, both companies included sections in their proposals regarding copyright and argued that, when it comes to copyright laws, the government should apply the fair use doctrine to AI. OpenAI said doing so is “not only a matter of American competitiveness — it’s a matter of national security.” Google said it’s “essential for accelerating AI in science.”

If you're looking for a major shakeup at the 2025 Emmys, don't hold your breath for the comedy acting races to make waves. For the second year in a row, Hacks and The Bear are predicted to extend their streak of domination — led by Jean Smart and Jeremy Allen White, who are both undefeated for playing Deborah Vance and Carmen Berzatto, respectively.
The last time one of those two names wasn't called on Emmy night was in 2023, when Abbott Elementary's Quinta Brunson took home Best Comedy Actress during an off-season for Hacks. Last year, The Bear clawed its way to three of the four main acting prizes and swept both guest star categories (Jon Bernthal and Jamie Lee Curtis). Smart handed the FX series its only acting loss, snagging her third Emmy for Hacks over The Bear's Ayo Edebiri. Can anyone pull off an upset this year? Here's the state...

Life isn't all happiness. Accordingly, cinema frequently reflects this duality with surprising tenderness. As a result, tearjerkers are a treasured favorite among cinema fans. For some, only the best movies can elicit powerful emotions to make viewers cry. Whether a film depicts tragic real-life events or the demise of a beloved fictional character, some movies are real heartbreakers.
For a film to shatter the hearts of its audience, it first must grip them with a captivating story. These movies don't simply portray tales of tragedy; they offer light among the darkness by sprinkling in samples of joy, thus creating unforgettable, poignant pictures. There are many sad movies, and then there are those that will leave viewers sobbing.
Updated by Jordan Iacobucci on March 13, 2025: Sometimes, movie fans just want a good cry. Sad movies are a great way to feel the depths of human emotion without having to experience those feelings firsthand.

Fire up the Plymouth Barracuda and brace the bullshit detector — Charlie Cale is back on the case! Yes, after making a storming debut in Season 1 of Rian Johnson's Columbo-esque, case-of-the-week murder-mystery series Poker Face back in 2023, Natasha Lyonne's human lie detector is readying her return in what's shaping up to be an all-star Season 2. As the newly released teaser for the series ahead shows us, Johnson is pulling out all the stops with the murderer's row — or victims' parade — on the block this time around. Check it out below;
Does this new teaser spoil anything about the new series? No. Does it actually tell us anything about any of the cases Cale will be facing this time out? Also no. Is it essentially a braggadocious run through of the top names on the Season 2 call sheet? Abso-damn-lutely. But what a set of names! Cynthia Erivo! John Mulaney! Katie Holmes!
