Mohamed Abu Youssef was an Egyptian screenwriter and assistant director. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts, English section at Cairo University in Egypt. He wrote the screenplay for major Egyptian films and his career spanned over three decades. He also worked as an assistant direct on 6 films, mostly with Youssef Chahine.
