Despite having the Oscar-winning Reversal of Fortune made from his book of the same name, it seems Alan Dershowitz this week had to have the difference between fact and fiction painstakingly explained to him by one of ViacomCBS’ top lawyers over Jeffrey Epstein.

“If we understand your letter correctly, you are complaining about a line spoken by a fictional character, in an episode of the fictional series The Good Fight,” wrote the company’s Jonathan Anschell to Dershowitz’s attorney Imran Ansari on July 28 (read it here).

The company’s response comes after a letter sent by Ansari to seemingly everyone associated with the production of The Good Fight — including creators Robert and Michelle King and producers Scott Free — alleged that the line in the Fred Murphy-directed and Laura Marks-penned season finale that aired May 28 was defamatory and could lead to further legal action.

But the famed attorney is preparing to sue ViacomCBS and the producers of the CBS All Access legal drama for referring to him in the final episode of the show’s fourth season as a “shyster” in connection with his representation of the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein, who was convicted of soliciting sex with underage girls in 2008, committed suicide last year while in federal prison as he awaited trial on new sex trafficking charges.

Dershowitz’s lawyers on July 17 sent a letter to CBS, “Good Fight” co-creators and showrunners Robert King and Michelle King and others connected with the show demanding the CBS All Access stop airing the content in question, a retraction of the statement and a public apology.

It turns out that his diplomatic package contains stolen intelligence about a terrorist attack on America, prompting a race across Vienna as he tries to evade bad guys and get to the Us embassy unscathed and intact.Lynn was a contestant on the 2003 season of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's Project Greenlight on HBO, a competition series giving budding filmmakers the chance at their first big break. He didn't win, but has since written and directed a handful of low-budget independent films.

David Alford, former artistic director of Tennessee Repertory Theatre, will emcee the event that will feature the entire roster of GrandVista's artists, including the 30-piece Orchestra Mastrangelo, Perry Danos, Marty Raybon, Shelean Newman and the GrandVista Kids.
