Actress Angelina Jolie rose to prominence during the 1990s and her acting prowess and star status grew exponentially during the 2000s. Aside from her filmography and humanitarian work, Jolie has also been in the news because of her personal life. Before her famous relationship with Brad Pitt, the actress was rumored to be dating one DC star.

Colin Farrell has been active in the industry for the past two and a half decades, but his best roles appear to have come late in his career. The Irish actor’s only Academy Award nomination came for the role in The Banshees of Inisherin. In the same year as the tragicomedy, he also starred in Matt Reeves’ The Batman as the Penguin, a role that got a spin-off movie of its own.

The Penguin, which premiered on September 19, has received critical acclaim, proving that Farrell has put the days of dreading his Alexander role behind him. His personal life has been more colorful in the 2000s than his career, as he was romantically linked to several A-list stars and models. Did he settle down with any of them?

Is Colin Farrell married?
Colin Farrell is an accomplished actor. As anyone watching Sunday night’s Emmy Awards can attest, he is also one of the handsomest actors on the planet.
He’s had some complex relationships — a few got downright messy — over the years.
But is he married at the moment? Asking for a friend, of course.

In 2000, Colin Farrell met Amelia Warner, a singer and a fellow actor. Their relationship was fairly brief — from July of 2001 through November of that same year.
There was speculation, however, that the two had covertly married. No one has ever been able to prove this claim, however.

Colin Farrell has gained attention for his leading roles in mainstream and indie projects since the 2000s, rising to prominence. Having made his film debut in the 1998 movie, The War Zone, he got his breakthrough from Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi movie, Minority Report (2002).
Colin Farrell in Miami Vice (2006)
Given that his filmography is filled with interesting projects, Farell has strangely credited his 2009 film, Ondine as the one which changed his life the most.
Ondine is One Project That Heavily Impacted Colin Farrell’s Life
In a recent interview with Lauren Veneziani for his series Sugar, the 47-year-old actor gave an insight into his past projects. At one point, he reflected on which project has remained with him the most over the years, and to anyone’s surprise, it’s his box-office flop film, Ondine.

Jim Caviezel's controversial film Sound of Freedom was the surprise blockbuster hit of the summer movie season. A true story film by an indie studio with a measly budget that had absolutely no advertisement or publicity beforehand that continues to surpass the big name, big-budget movies like The Flash and Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, falling behind only to the massive combined run of "Barbenheimer," which includes both Greta Gerwig's hot pink fever dream Barbie and Christopher Nolan's dark biopic Oppenheimer.
Sound of Freedom follows the true story of Tim Ballard, an ex-CIA agent who gave up his career and risked his life to rescue child victims of sex trafficking. Plenty of other films in Hollywood history delved into the depths of despair to present audiences with the true horrors and courage of real-life heroes and villains that are hard to find in a Marvel movie.

"The Banshees of Inisherin" star Colin Farrell has played a few brash characters over the years, but there's one role where he's a total softie: being a dad to his two sons, James and Henry. The Irish star is mostly private about his kids, but he gave his sons a sweet shout-out when he won the 2023 Golden Globe award for best performance by an actor in a motion picture, musical or comedy. At the end of his speech, Colin thanked "my kids at home who are watching this." "James and Henry, the loves of my life. I love you so much," he said.
In October 2022, Colin told The Guardian while discussing the emotional "The Banshees of Inisherin" that he spent the pandemic lockdown with his sons and made sure to ask about how they were doing emotionally. "And they're like, 'Would you just f*ck off?' But fellas like...

When a film shot in Buffalo, NY co-written and starring a native of the city comes across you’re desk you look upon it with a certain level of skepticism. I’ve lived here almost my entire life and I’m still guilty of seeing my hometown as a B-level sector in comparison to New York City or Hollywood. This year has changed that thought-process for locals and the industry with two effective genre works exiting the Queen City with aspirations for the big time. Against all odds I have to admit they both deserve every accolade bestowed upon them. Horror flick Emelie came out of the gate first with success and now The American Side hits theaters with a chance at earning more. This hard-boiled noir is the real deal.
Written by lead actor Greg Stuhr and director Jenna Ricker, this adventure of a yokel private investigator is full of MacGuffins and shady characters.

Trouble in Mind: Onah’s Homage to Neo Noir an Indie Echo of Device
In development for the past five years since it was initially announced, director Julius Onah’s directorial debut The Girl is in Trouble at last reaches a theatrical release. Impressive as a first feature, Onah’s homage to vintage New York noir looks to explore modern examples of urban fugue in the fluctuating metropolis. In several regards, this is a refreshing example of tried and true tropes, focusing on the perspective of a black character (an uncommon element in noir) and conveying Onah’s familiarity with his inspirations. However, like many of the titles it invokes, style can’t compensate entirely for substance, and third act inevitabilities find the film’s initial energy plummeting before the end credits.

When we first meet Signe (Alicja Bachleda), she's barefoot, in an old trench coat, nervously and quickly walking down a filthy New York sidewalk. None of the past lovers, men or women, she furiously dials is reachable, so she settles for a stranger with whom she exchanged numbers in a bar some weeks earlier. She needs a place to crash and hide, immediately, and perfunctory sex with a failed DJ is a small price to pay for that. Director Julius Onah, working from a script he co-wrote with Mayuran Tiruchelvam, whips this tale of a damsel in distress into a dizzying but firmly controlled spin through Lower East Side nightclubs, flashbacks to Wall Street's Wild West heyday, immigrant tales past and present, drug deals gone bad, musical instruments (violin, guitar, Serato mixing equi...

For some reason, in spite of everything, they still liked him. Colin Farrell went through a wild period in Hollywood from about 2000 until 2006 - he calls them his lost years - and earned a fairly bad reputation along the way. But luckily, the Irish actor wasn't ostracized entirely, and managed to claw his way back to a respectable career. "Without any self-aggrandizing, the myth had shown itself to be fallacy," Farrell, 37, tells the Irish Post of the consequences of his wild-child behavior during that time. "That said, I'm glad to say I have a bit of goodwill in Hollywood; it might seem a contradiction,...

It's St. Patrick's Day week, which means it's time to celebrate movies from the Emerald Isle. While there's no G-rated Irish film available for instant Netflix streaming, I highly recommend "Darby O'Gill and the Little People," a classic Disney leprechaun tale starring a very young Sean Connery (who's actually Scottish but still great to see). Here are great PG, PG-13, and -- if you have older teens -- R-for-language picks for this week. Erin go Bragh, movie lovers! PG Pick - Page to Screen: "The Secret of Kells" (2009, 75 minutes) Netflix Amazon Instant iTunes Kids Will Love: Even kids who like everything they see will realize how special this movie is, regardless of whether they understand the setting of a medieval Irish abbey. This is a hero's journey set in a supremely original setting. The orphaned nephew of the head Abbot, young Brendan is supposed to help build a wall to ward off invading Vikings.

No longer the drug-taking, whisky-swilling loudmouth, actor Colin Farrell has cleaned up his act and discovered yoga
Colin Farrell is giving someone a right ticking-off, gesticulating with one hand and prodding him in the chest with the index finger of the other. Farrell has been chipper all day. I wonder what's got his goat.
A while later, when I sit down with him, he looks at me aghast. "Can you fuckin' believe what he said?" he asks with eyebrows arched. I presume he's referring to the poking scene and confess I don't know what was said. What is it, Colin? "Well, I couldn't believe it,...

Colin Farrell had a lot to be proud of today on the set of his " Total Recall " remake -- where he showed off his adorable 21-month-old son ... and his killer body! The tatted-up, 34-year-old actor went shirtless in Ontario, Canada on Wednesday as he brought his son Harry to an SUV -- looking completely different on this set than he did as a chubby bald guy in " Horrible Bosses ." Harry is Colin's kid with actress Alicja Bachleda-Curus , though the two are no longer together. Farrell will take over the Arnold Schwarzenegger role in the remake of the 1990 flick, which will also co-star Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel . Is Colin the perfect ‘Rude Boy’ for Rihanna to rebound with? Tell us what you think!
Rihanna’s been linked to quite a few gentlemen recently — most notably Drake and Travis Barker – but a new report from UK newspaper The Sun claims she’s found a new boy toy: Colin Farrell! The two reportedly hit it off after meeting on The Graham Norton Show back in December, and a source says Rihanna, 23, has been sexting him.
“Colin was taken aback by some of the texts,” the source says. “He reckons he might well be in there.”
I’m not quite up on my British slang, but I’ll just assume “he might well be in there” means “he finds her beautiful.” I try to keep things classy.

Rihanna has been exchanging saucy texts with Colin Farrell. The "Only Girl (In the World)" singer, who is currently single following her split from baseball star Matt Kemp in December, has reportedly been bombarding the Irish actor with mobile phone messages after the pair met on TV host Graham Norton's British chat show shortly before Christmas.
An insider told The Sun newspaper, "Colin was taken aback by some of the texts. He thinks he might well be in there. They're both single, so why not?"
On the show, the 34-year-old star admitted that he couldn't take his mind off the Bajan beauty's skimpy dress, which left only her "limbs" on show. He said, "They are very nice limbs. There's probably a reason I mentioned them, I had to get them off my mind."

We started keeping tabs on The Girl Is In Trouble when we profiled indie producer Jen Gatien and subsequently when the film's helmer Julius Onah was named to Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces” list, yesterday Shadowandact.com showed off a batch of new stills and a synopsis of the feature proving this may well be in the final stages of post-production and potentially ready for the first major film fest of the season. The film stars Columbus Short, Wilmer Valderrama, TV show House’s Jesse Spencer and Alicja Bachleda of Ondine fame. Adding to the hype is Spike Lee on as an exec producer and Chris Trujillo as production designer. The Gist: The longer synopsis obtained by the site: NYC. Currently in post-production, with a 2011 release planned, with sales company Wild Bunch representing the project… here’s our first look at Columbus Short, Alicja Bachleda, Wilmer Valderrama and a few other cast members in action in Julius Onah’s The Girl Is In Trouble, his debut feature, which Spike Lee is executive producing.
We also have a much longer synopsis of the film, as opposed to the 1-sentence we’ve previously posted until now; this lengthy summary highlights plot points, and reads as follows:
NYC. Unemployed bartender and failed DJ August receives a 2 a.m. call from beautiful Swedish Signe. Their one-night-stand turns ugly when he discovers footage of a murder on her phone – a Caucasian man killing a young Latino. August knows these men. The dead guy’s Jesus Guzman, a dealer. #10. The Girl Is in Trouble - Julis Onah This Sundance edition should be a vintage one for 2010 members of Filmmaker Magazine 25 New Faces and this could possibly include, Julis Onah's The Girl Is in Trouble. A Graduate Film Program at Nyu and supported by Spike Lee, he if quickly assembles his feature film debut, which also counts as his thesis film (Onah comes across as a workaholic) then Park City becomes a strong possibility. Columbus Short, Wilmer Valderrama, Alicja Bachleda, Jesse Spencer and Paz de la Huerta topline the thriller written by Mayuran Tiruchelvam and Onah, this follows a Lower East Side bartender who unravels a mystery that connects a desperate young woman (Bachleda) to a missing drug dealer and the scion of New York's most powerful stockbroker. Park City at Midnight slot or a SXSW birth likely. * Producers: Mark W. Campbell, Jen Gatien, Dana Offenbach, Robert Profusek and Ryan Silbert(Ioncinema.

In August, I mentioned that the film was in the works, with Columbus Short starring; Julius Onah’s (one of the 2010 Shadow And Act Black Filmmakers To Watch) The Girl Is In Trouble, with Spike Lee will executive producing the project.
In the film, described as a noir thriller set in New York City, a bartender (likely played by Short) “unravels a mystery that connects a desperate young woman (played by Alicja Bachleda) to a missing drug dealer, and the scion of New York’s most powerful stockbroker.”
Production is already underway, with Wilmer Valderrama also attached to the project.
I just found out that a website for the film has been created, although there’s nothing there right now, just a static page, with what looks like a picture of Alicja Bachleda (above), as well as the title of the film. But, I suspect more will be added to the site in due time,...

The “Phone Booth” actor has a one-year-old son named Henry with Alicja, but allegedly has lost interest in pursuing their relationship.
A tabloid source claims, “She realized that Colin is never going to marry her. He cares for Alicja and the baby but he wants to be a free spirit.”
But don’t count Colin and Alicja out just yet- neither of their camps have come forward to confirm the news.
