In addition to airing a special preview of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” at 10:00 p.m. Et/Pt, NBC will broadcast a crossover event between the mothership series “Law & Order” and its long-running spinoff “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” on Thursday, April 17 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Et/Pt.
The crossover episodes see Capt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) of Svu lead detectives to the scene of a brutal murder after she receives a mysterious phone call. When the Svu and the 2-7 uncover a pattern of rape and murder targeting marginalized women, Carisi (Peter Scanavino) and Ada Price (Hugh Dancy) team up to charge the suspect with multiple crimes.
This season, the two shows combined have amassed 38.4 million viewers across linear and digital platforms, and marking their best performances ever on Peacock, with double and triple-digit increases, respectively, vs. last season when factoring in 35-day viewing results.

Warning: Spoilers for Reacher Season 3, Episode 5.
After last week’s heart-wrenching episode, it was a relief to watch the kind of episode that has become indicative of Prime Video’s Reacher. Of course, there were still a couple of sad and untimely deaths this week, but viewers weren’t as invested in those characters, nor was Reacher (Alan Ritchson). That isn’t to say their demise wasn’t unfortunate or somber. Their fate simply didn’t emotionally linger in the way Dominique Kohl’s (Mariah Robinson) death was meant to in Episode 4. Nevertheless, the death of certain characters in the newest episode had some pretty serious consequences for Reacher and his operation with Agent Duffy (Sonya Cassidy).
Last week’s cliffhanger left Duffy and Agent Villanueva (Roberto Montesinos) on the verge of discovery and death. After tracking Angel Doll’s (Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz) laptop to their location, McCabe’s people began shooting.

Following the same impressive success of ReacherSeasons 1 and 2, the third season of the series broke onto screens with a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score. The highly anticipated Reacher Season 3 premiered on February 20, 2025, with its first three episodes. With a somewhat disappointing second season that saw Reacher veer away from one of his core characteristics, Season 3 had a lot to make up for.
If the first three episodes of the season are anything to go by, it appears as if the new season is doing everything right, especially in adhering to a narrative that sticks more faithfully to Reacher's lone wolf, solitary persona. Season 3 has introduced new challenges, new villains, and thrilling action, with Reacher left on his own to tackle it all.

Author Lee Child recently shared why he finds Reacher Season 3 "annoying," but it’s not for the reasons you might think. Child first brought Jack Reacher to life in the 1997 novel Killing Floor, and has since published 28 more books in the series, with a 30th to come later this year. Following two film adaptations that starred Tom Cruise, Prime Video's series began in 2022, and has thus far been a big hit with fans and critics.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Child got candid about his thoughts on Reacher Season 3, which adapts the seventh book in his series, Persuader. Premiering on Feb. 20, the latest season is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 97% rating from critics, and its Popcornmeter sits at a strong 76% rating from fans. For Child, he says the reason he's so annoyed with things is that creator Nick Santora has managed to surpass the vision he had in his head while writing the book.

Warning: Spoilers for Reacher Season 3, Episode 4.
Having finally returned to Prime Video, the newest season of Reacher is arguably the best one yet. The show’s first season definitely set the bar high, and it’s a hard one to surpass. That being said, I think we can all agree that Season 3 is already leaps and bounds ahead of Season 2. Nevertheless, as this season continues to unfold, Reacher (Alan Ritchson) is that much closer to bringing down Xavier Quinn (Brian Tee). Also believed to be the nefarious Julius McCabe, the true villain in charge of everything, Episode 4 made it quite clear that he’s definitely an evil dude.

Reacherauthor Lee Child should know better than most how Jack Reacher can be brought to life on screen in the best way possible. While the author has never stopped showing his appreciation for Tom Cruise, he also knows that there was no possible way for the Hollywood icon to ever match Alan Ritchson in the role for the most obvious reason.
Cruise brought Reacher to life on the big screen in two films: 2012’s Jack Reacher and 2016’s Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. However, despite the movies being successful at the box office, both films had their fair share of criticism, not least for the lead star’s lack of physical presence. While Cruise has proven beyond doubt that he is in a league of his own when it comes to performing stunts, there was no way of getting around the fact that he was just not the 6’5”, 250-pound specimen...

Now that Season 3 ofReacherhas been officially been dubbed "a hit" by fans and critics, all eyes are turning to Maria Sten, who's been playing Jack Reacher's go-to, Frances Neagley, in the Prime Video series based on Lee Child's popular books. In a recent interview with MovieWeb, Sten opened up about the upcoming Neagley spin-off series, also noting how pivotal the role has been to her career.
"I mean, this role has certainly changed everything," said Sten. "Now I walk down the street, and everybody is screaming, ‘Neagley, Neagley, can I get a picture?’ Which definitely hasn’t been the case. The shows I've done before have not had the breadth of success that this one has." Sten continued:

If you believe nothing would ever intimidate “The Dutch Giant” — aka Olivier Richters, who plays mammoth bodyguard Paulie in Season 3 of Reacher, think again. The Dutch actor and bodybuilder, who goes fist-to-fist with Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) this season, admits that, yes, there are some things that frighten even him.
“Spiders,” Richters admitted. “Nature. I hate insects.” Beyond that, when it comes to Season 3 or Reacher, Richters was rather freaked out about something else.
“The most fear I had for Reacher Season 3… when I read the script, is if I physically can pull it off. I'm huge, but the hard thing is moving in [this] body. We had four months of training with a great stunt coordinator/fight coordinator, and they learned how a giant can actually be as fast as Reacher. And I couldn't believe it at the end of the four months."

The great thing about author Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels is that they don't necessarily have to be read in order to enjoy them. The same thing can be said of Prime Video's hit adaption Reacher, as while the first season took its cues from Child's debut novel, the second season was based on the 11th book in the series, and Season 3 is adapted from the seventh one, Persuader. Now, the creator himself has revealed the book he's most looking forward to Amazon bringing to life should the series continue to be a hit.
Speaking with The Independent about all things Reacher, Child called the 21st book in his series, The Midnight Line, one of his "favorites" because of its subject matter: opioids. Rather than highlight the opioid crisis from the point of view of "the dealers and the crooked doctors," Child said, he wanted to tell the...

So far, Prime Video’s Reacher has managed to grab some fantastic actors to play its bad guys. From Bruce McGill as Mayor Grover Teale to the T-1000 Terminator himself, Robert Patrick, as Shane Langston.
Now, Season 3 of Reacher has the former Army special investigator going up against Anthony Michael Hall’s uber-rich Zachary Beck. Hall is absolutely fantastic in the role, easily jumping between concerned yet distant father to tough but unwilling criminal, and Hall knows it since he recognized the joy and how recently becoming a father gave him a wealth of experience to draw on. In the recently released Season 3, Hall plays Zachary Beck, a ruthless millionaire in the importing business who will stand against the titular hero, Jack Reacher. Alan Ritchson felt a literal blast from the past stripping down for Reacher season 3.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the Jack Reacher actor broke down a key set piece where Reacher sidesteps the guards at criminal Zachary Beck's mansion by jumping into nearby waters and physically swimming to his contact on the outside. Acknowledging comparisons between Reacher's actions and his first major TV role as Arthur Curry/Aquaman on Smallville, Ritchson said, "Yeah, it was pretty similar because the water was cold, and when I was a child on Smallville, we were in a glacial lake. It was just above freezing, and it felt a little bit like that up in Toronto shooting again. So I was having flashbacks — it's like my 'Nam."

Reacherstar and proud Floridian Alan Ritchson recently sparked an Internet battle with former classmate and congressman Matt Gaetz after attacking him for comments Gaetz made in support of President Donald Trump. Now, Gaetz has hit back via a post on X — and it's about as underwhelming a response as you'd expect from the disgraced politician.
Both Ritchson and Gaetz grew up side-by-side in Florida, even attending the same school in Niceville — which explains why Ritchson is now publicly distancing himself from Gaetz's political and personal actions. In an interview with GQ, Ritchson stated: "We are adversaries. It's shocking to me that the panhandle of Florida continues to vote for somebody — knowing everything we know about him and the promises that he's made behind closed doors about pardoning certain criminals — he's just not a good dude!" Ritchson added an obligatory, "That motherf---er," for good measure, thus sealing his opinion of the former congressman.

Jack Reacher is back with a bang on Prime Video, and despite some gripes about his previous outing, Season 3 is packing a punch for Alan Ritchson's mercenary. Based once again on Lee Child’s novels, this time the 2003 book Persuader, Reacher’s long-awaited return has done what was expected and nabbed the coveted top spot on Prime Video’s chart with ease. While Amazon has yet to release any official numbers, it is clear that Reacher is just as formidable in his streaming performance as his one-on-one on-screen altercations.
Where earlier interpretations of the drifter, namely in two movies starring Tom Cruise, relied on cinematic spectacle, the expanded TV show format allows a much deeper dive into the character of Jack Reacher, and it is one that fans have flocked to in their millions. Warning: Spoilers for Reacher Season 3, Episodes 1-3.
Reacher has finally returned for its third season on Prime Video, and as always, trouble has once again found the show’s titular character, Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson). Ever the good Samaritan, mere moments into Season 3, Reacher saves a college kid named Richard Beck (Johnny Berchtold) from being kidnapped. It would seem he’s always in the right place at the right time for these sorts of things. Weird how that always happens.
However, while saving Richard, Reacher accidentally kills a cop, which should have been the first clue that told me something was amiss. He isn’t the type of person who makes those mistakes. Nor is he the kind of person who would then go into hiding for such an action. Considering Reacher stumbled upon such a serious situation, and then responded so uncharacteristically when the dust settled, it’s clear...

Reacher Season 3 now stands a perfect score of 100% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, suggesting that this is the best series of the show yet. Reacher has been a big hit with both critics and audiences alike, with Season 1 landing a score of 92% (91% on the Popcornmeter), which Season 2 achieved 98% from critics, but only 76% from audiences. Anyone who has watched Prime Video's Reacher knows that you don't want to mess with Alan Ritchson as the titular mercenary. It seems that you don't want to mess with Ritchson either if your name is Matt Gaetz. Although the Reacher star could very well be a giant teddy bear most of the time, he gives off a vibe that he has no problem telling it like it is and does not have a soft spot for bullies on any level. Ritchson is especially not mincing words when it comes to disgraced former congressman Matt Gaetz. As it turns out, they were once childhood classmates, and he doesn't think Gaetz is remotely a good person.
During a chat with GQ, Ritchson was asked for his opinion on the politician since they share a past as classmates. Ritchson came straight to the point about how he felt about him, and he did not sugarcoat it.

As the star of the hit series Reacher, Alan Ritchson is one of today's most popular actors. Fans of Ritchson may not realize he went to school with one controversial politician who's been in the headlines a lot lately, though the actor seems to prefer that there was no association.
Per GQ, Ritchson was born in North Dakota before later growing up in Florida, but in the interim, his family briefly settled in Illinois. During that time, Ritchson was a classmate of Matt Gaetz, the former U.S. rep who resigned from congress in 2024. Known in part for his far-right political views and staunch support of Donald Trump, Gaetz was accused of child sex trafficking and statutory rape in 2020, though he was ultimately not charged. Alan Ritchson has commented on the most “ridiculous” part of his hit Prime Video series, Reacher. Of course, the show finds the title character taking on multiple adversaries in increasingly absurd (though always entertaining) ways, but the most outlandish thing about Jack Reacher is his size. And how he achieves such size without spending a single second in the gym. Speaking with Games Radar, Ritchson agrees that Reacher looking like a literal man-mountain without committing to a brutal workout regime is “a little ridiculous.”
"It’s a little ridiculous with Reacher, I mean, but it's funny. You got like this, like, you know, chiseled six-pack abs kind of physique in the books. And it's like, of course he's a unicorn, you know. No, you would never look like Reacher without hours of training."

We're just a couple of days away from the long awaited premiere of Reacher Season 3 on Prime Video, and while past seasons have seen star Alan Ritchson easily kick some serious butt, this year he's seemingly met his match by way of Olivier Richters. The hulking 7-foot-2-inch-tall, 350-pound bodybuilder is a newcomer to the Reacherverse, portraying Paulie, a bodyguard to Anthony Michael Hall's Zachary Beck. For Ritchson, however, he's glad that Reacher finally has a formidable opponent in Season 3, because according to him, it makes the character even more relatable to the audience.

Alan Ritchson never downplays the physical toll his work demands, and his role as Jack Reacher has taken that intensity to another level for Season 3 of Prime Video’s Reacher. Season 1 of Reacher showcased a brutal introduction to Lee Child’s mercenary for those unfamiliar with the character, featuring several fierce confrontations between Reacher and his adversaries. This continued in Season 2, and now Season 3 is set to deliver some of the character’s most challenging fights – both on and off-screen.
In a recent interview ahead of the new episodes, Ritchson revealed the extent of the bodily strains he undergoes while filming. Recounting being slammed, pounded, and pushed to his limit, Ritchson told IGN Brazil:
“If there’s a shot that we take where I get thrown through a table or through a wall or something, I mean I’m doing a lot of that. And, you know, you don’t just do it once.

Season 3 of the hit Prime Video series Reacher is almost upon us, and to whet your whistle, a new clip has just been released that shows our beloved former military police officer picking a fight with someone even bigger than he is! Portrayed by the 6' 3," 235-pound Alan Ritchson, it's hard to imagine anyone equaling the size of Jack Reacher, but the third season has done just that by way of bodybuilder Olivier Richters, who stands 7 feet 2 inches, weighs 352 pounds, and portrays newcomer Paulie, a large guard working for Anthony Michael Hall's Zachary Beck.
The new clip courtesy of Discussing Film on X (seen here) shows Reacher and Paulie sitting opposite one another in a home gym, discussing how much they bench press. Reacher, of course, scoffs at the notion that weight equals strength, and when goaded on by Paulie, challenges him to a round of Bavarian arm wrestling.

A new clip from Reacher Season 3 has been released. The new season premieres on Prime Video exactly one week from today, on Feb. 20.
The clip, which sees Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher challenging Olivier Richters' Paulie to a Bavarian arm wrestling match, was released on X. Much of the marketing for the third season of Reacher has been centered around Richters' addition to the cast. Nicknamed The Dutch Giant, Richters is a bodybuilder-turned-actor who is filling the role of Paulie in Season 3, who was described in the season's source material, the 2003 novel Persuader, as "a very big guy" who "was at least six inches taller than [Reacher] and probably ten inches wider across the shoulders," as well as "two hundred pounds" heavier. Since its debut in 2022, Reacher has become one of Prime Video’s biggest hits. A hugely successful first season meant that Season 2 struggled to completely live up to its high expectations, but viewership soared to make the second season the most watched show of 2023, despite it arriving just before the end of the year. Now, with Season 3 imminent, fans have been given a teasing hint at some of the brutal fights that Alan Ritchson will face as Jack Reacher when he comes up against the mountainous Paulie, played by “The Dutch Giant,” Olivier Richters.
It is hard to argue that Ritchson is a big guy, and between the first and second seasons of Reacher, he beefed up to an insane level. However, in Season 3, he will face his biggest challenge – literally – when he is inexplicably outsized by the bodyguard of the antagonistic Zachary Beck (played by Anthony Michael Hall). Saul Goodman is perhaps one of (if not the most) compelling characters in the world of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. The idea of a prequel series to one of the most critically acclaimed and iconic television shows of all time sounds like a horrible concept on paper. Still, in practice, co-creator Peter Gould's spin-off series Better Call Saul ended up being just as impressively written and acted as the legendary show that preceded it. However, if one television executive had his way, Saul Goodman might have never come into existence.

Dick Wolf is in for another busy season at NBC. No surprise here, the Peacock network has renewed “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: Svu” for the 2024-25 broadcast TV season. Among Dick Wolf scripted series, that leaves just “Law & Order: Organized Crime” on the bubble; a renewal for that show, which has experienced multiple showrunner changes in its short life, is still in discussion.
Among the shows, this will rep the 26th season of “Law & Order: SVU,” the 24th season of “Law & Order,” Season 13 for “Chicago Fire,” the 12th season for “Chicago PD” and the 10th season for “Chicago Med.” All of the renewed series are produced by Universal Studio Group’s Universal Television division, along with Wolf Entertainment, and all shows stream the following day on Peacock. (Wolf’s deal with Universal is currently through 2027.)

NBC has renewed most — but not all — of the shows in its two biggest franchises for the 2024-25 season.
The network has ordered new seasons of all three of its Chicago dramas — Med, Fire and Pd — along with Law & Order and Law & Order: Svu. Notably missing from the list is Law & Order: Organized Crime, whose status is “still under discussion,” according to NBC. All six series come from Dick Wolf’s Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television.
Svu will add to its record as the longest-running primetime drama in American TV history with a 26th season in 2024-25, while Law & Order — which recently saw the departure of series fixture Sam Waterston — will air its 24th. Chicago Med will hit double digits with its 10th season, Fire will air its 13th and Pd its 12th.
Long-tail ratings for all five renewed series are up substantially vs. last season: Per NBC,...

Exclusive: Kelli Giddish’s Amanda Rollins will be back on Law & Order: Svu. After making a guest appearance in the Season 25 premiere, Giddish will reprise her fan-favorite role in the upcoming Episode 11, Deadline has learned.
In the Season 25 opener, which aired in January, Amanda returned to celebrate the christening of her and Carisi’s (Peter Scanavino) baby. But the happy occasion was marred by the disappearance of a teenage girl. Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) realizes she saw the girl in a van as she was returning from the baptism and becomes obsessed with finding her.
Giddish exited the venerable series midway through Season 24 and then returned as a guest star in the Season 24 finale, which was part of a three-way crossover among Law & Order, Svu and Organized Crime. Kelli Giddish’s former Detective Amanda Rollins will return for the Season 25 premiere of Law & Order: Svu, sources confirm to Deadline.
Giddish exited the series midway through Season 24 and last appeared in a guest-starring role in the Season 24 finale, which was part of a three-way crossover among Law & Order, Svu and Organized Crime. In that episode, Giddish’s character Rollins married Ada Sonny Carisi Jr (Peter Scanavino). Rollins also revealed she was on a new career path and had accepted a teaching job at Fordham University. When she returned, she surprised her former colleagues with news that she was pregnant.
Law & Order: Svu resumed production on Season 25 Monday following a six-month production shutdown due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” is losing a detective. Kelli Giddish, who portrays Amanda Rollins on the NBC drama, will depart during the upcoming 24th season. She will be in at least the premiere episode. Exact details regarding her exit were not provided by the network.
In a statement from Giddish provided by NBC, she wrote: “I wanted to address the chatter I’ve seen online and let everyone know that this will, indeed, be my last season on ‘Law & Order: Svu.’ Playing Rollins has been one of the greatest joys and privileges of my life. I’ve been so fortunate to be a part of the ‘Law & Order’ family for the last 12 years. There is simply no other character on TV like Rollins. She’s grown and changed, and I have as well. I started on this show when I was in my late 20s and I’m...

NBC’s Law & Order franchise will open the 2022-23 by doing something it has never done in its long history.
All three shows in the brand — the original L&o, Svu and Organized Crime — will come together for a single story spanning their season premieres on Sept. 22. It’s a first for Law & Order but not for executive producer Dick Wolf, whose teams have pulled off similar three-show events on NBC’s Chicago dramas and CBS’ FBI franchise.
Law & Order showrunner Rick Eid and Chicago Pd’s Gwen Sigan wrote the feature-length telecast. Franchise veteran Jean de Segonzac directs the first two hours; Alex Hall helms the third.
“Nothing demonstrates the power of the Law & Order brand more than an ambitious three-hour event with a story that is truly ripped from the headlines that starts on Organized Crime, then...
