In addition to airing a special preview of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” at 10:00 p.m. Et/Pt, NBC will broadcast a crossover event between the mothership series “Law & Order” and its long-running spinoff “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” on Thursday, April 17 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Et/Pt.

The crossover episodes see Capt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) of Svu lead detectives to the scene of a brutal murder after she receives a mysterious phone call. When the Svu and the 2-7 uncover a pattern of rape and murder targeting marginalized women, Carisi (Peter Scanavino) and Ada Price (Hugh Dancy) team up to charge the suspect with multiple crimes.

This season, the two shows combined have amassed 38.4 million viewers across linear and digital platforms, and marking their best performances ever on Peacock, with double and triple-digit increases, respectively, vs. last season when factoring in 35-day viewing results.

Law & Order and Law & Order: Svu are once again teaming on a crossover episode. It’s set for Thursday, April 17 from 8-10 pm on NBC.

After last week’s heart-wrenching episode, it was a relief to watch the kind of episode that has become indicative of Prime Video’s Reacher. Of course, there were still a couple of sad and untimely deaths this week, but viewers weren’t as invested in those characters, nor was Reacher (Alan Ritchson). That isn’t to say their demise wasn’t unfortunate or somber. Their fate simply didn’t emotionally linger in the way Dominique Kohl’s (Mariah Robinson) death was meant to in Episode 4. Nevertheless, the death of certain characters in the newest episode had some pretty serious consequences for Reacher and his operation with Agent Duffy (Sonya Cassidy).

Last week’s cliffhanger left Duffy and Agent Villanueva (Roberto Montesinos) on the verge of discovery and death. After tracking Angel Doll’s (Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz) laptop to their location, McCabe’s people began shooting.

Following the same impressive success of ReacherSeasons 1 and 2, the third season of the series broke onto screens with a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score. The highly anticipated Reacher Season 3 premiered on February 20, 2025, with its first three episodes. With a somewhat disappointing second season that saw Reacher veer away from one of his core characteristics, Season 3 had a lot to make up for.

If the first three episodes of the season are anything to go by, it appears as if the new season is doing everything right, especially in adhering to a narrative that sticks more faithfully to Reacher's lone wolf, solitary persona. Season 3 has introduced new challenges, new villains, and thrilling action, with Reacher left on his own to tackle it all.

Author Lee Child recently shared why he finds Reacher Season 3 "annoying," but it’s not for the reasons you might think. Child first brought Jack Reacher to life in the 1997 novel Killing Floor, and has since published 28 more books in the series, with a 30th to come later this year. Following two film adaptations that starred Tom Cruise, Prime Video's series began in 2022, and has thus far been a big hit with fans and critics.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Child got candid about his thoughts on Reacher Season 3, which adapts the seventh book in his series, Persuader. Premiering on Feb. 20, the latest season is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 97% rating from critics, and its Popcornmeter sits at a strong 76% rating from fans. For Child, he says the reason he's so annoyed with things is that creator Nick Santora has managed to surpass the vision he had in his head while writing the book.

Having finally returned to Prime Video, the newest season of Reacher is arguably the best one yet. The show’s first season definitely set the bar high, and it’s a hard one to surpass. That being said, I think we can all agree that Season 3 is already leaps and bounds ahead of Season 2. Nevertheless, as this season continues to unfold, Reacher (Alan Ritchson) is that much closer to bringing down Xavier Quinn (Brian Tee). Also believed to be the nefarious Julius McCabe, the true villain in charge of everything, Episode 4 made it quite clear that he’s definitely an evil dude.

It's official: the Reacher spinoff centered around Maria Sten's Frances Neagley will officially be titled Neagley. Sten's co-stars have also been revealed.

According to Variety, five actors have boarded Neagley as series regulars: Greyston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Jasper Jones (King Ivory) as Keno, Adeline Rudolph as Renee, Matthew Del Negro as Pierce Woodrow, and Damon Herriman as Lawrence Cole. Production on Neagley began earlier this month in Toronto.

The great thing about author Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels is that they don't necessarily have to be read in order to enjoy them. The same thing can be said of Prime Video's hit adaption Reacher, as while the first season took its cues from Child's debut novel, the second season was based on the 11th book in the series, and Season 3 is adapted from the seventh one, Persuader. The first expansion in Prime Video's Reacher franchise has begun filming. Maria Sten, who will headline the spinoff as Reacher's ally Frances Neagley, has revealed what fans can expect from the upcoming Prime Video show.

While Sten couldn't reveal exact plot details about Neagley, the actor told Screen Time (via Echo) that she was "so excited with the material. It's very much Neagley in her world and I guess you do see her in Chicago when you meet her in Season 3, so in that way, we establish she has a world outside of Reacher when she isn't going off on crazy missions to help him. Or when I'm not enlisting him to find our friends. I think you do find her in her own universe and I think that maybe is what will help us tie into this show."

We're just a couple of days away from the long awaited premiere of Reacher Season 3 on Prime Video, and while past seasons have seen star Alan Ritchson easily kick some serious butt, this year he's seemingly met his match by way of Olivier Richters. The hulking 7-foot-2-inch-tall, 350-pound bodybuilder is a newcomer to the Reacherverse, portraying Paulie, a bodyguard to Anthony Michael Hall's Zachary Beck. For Ritchson, however, he's glad that Reacher finally has a formidable opponent in Season 3, because according to him, it makes the character even more relatable to the audience.

Alan Ritchson never downplays the physical toll his work demands, and his role as Jack Reacher has taken that intensity to another level for Season 3 of Prime Video’s Reacher. Season 1 of Reacher showcased a brutal introduction to Lee Child’s mercenary for those unfamiliar with the character, featuring several fierce confrontations between Reacher and his adversaries. This continued in Season 2, and now Season 3 is set to deliver some of the character’s most challenging fights – both on and off-screen.

In a recent interview ahead of the new episodes, Ritchson revealed the extent of the bodily strains he undergoes while filming. Recounting being slammed, pounded, and pushed to his limit, Ritchson told IGN Brazil:

Season 3 of the hit Prime Video series Reacher is almost upon us, and to whet your whistle, a new clip has just been released that shows our beloved former military police officer picking a fight with someone even bigger than he is! Portrayed by the 6' 3," 235-pound Alan Ritchson, it's hard to imagine anyone equaling the size of Jack Reacher, but the third season has done just that by way of bodybuilder Olivier Richters, who stands 7 feet 2 inches, weighs 352 pounds, and portrays newcomer Paulie, a large guard working for Anthony Michael Hall's Zachary Beck.

The new clip courtesy of Discussing Film on X (seen here) shows Reacher and Paulie sitting opposite one another in a home gym, discussing how much they bench press. Reacher, of course, scoffs at the notion that weight equals strength, and when goaded on by Paulie, challenges him to a round of Bavarian arm wrestling.

A new clip from Reacher Season 3 has been released. The new season premieres on Prime Video exactly one week from today, on Feb. 20.

The clip, which sees Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher challenging Olivier Richters' Paulie to a Bavarian arm wrestling match, was released on X. Much of the marketing for the third season of Reacher has been centered around Richters' addition to the cast. Nicknamed The Dutch Giant, Richters is a bodybuilder-turned-actor who is filling the role of Paulie in Season 3, who was described in the season's source material, the 2003 novel Persuader, as "a very big guy" who "was at least six inches taller than [Reacher] and probably ten inches wider across the shoulders," as well as "two hundred pounds" heavier. Speaking with Empire, which debuted a new image from Reacher Season 3, Richters promised fans that they would be treated to quite the fight between Paulie and Ritchson's title character Jack Reacher. "The effort they put into Reacher versus Paulie is astonishing," remarked Richters about the upcoming on-screen brawl. "We might be a little bit immortal in the fight, because it continues for so long. [...] I’m not going to say we’re going to win an Oscar for the fight scene, but it’s going to be spectacular."

Reacher star Alan Ritchson is teaming up with Hollywood vet Owen Wilson for a new feature film. Capitalizing on Ritchson's recent success in the genre, the movie will naturaly be an action flick.

Per Deadline, Ritchson and Wilson are set to co-star in a new action drama film called Runner. The movie will be directed by Scott Waugh, known in part for directing the Need for Speed adaptation starring Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul. More recently, Waugh helmed Expend4bles, the fourth installment of the star-studded Expendables movie series. He also directed the 2023 action movie Hidden Strike with Jackie Chan and John Cena.

Exclusive: NBC’s Law & Order: Svu has added Juliana Aidén Martinez (Griselda) to its Season 26 cast as a new detective; Kevin Kane has been upped to a series regular as Det. Terry Bruno.

The new season begins Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. Et/Pt on NBC and next day on Peacock.

Kane debuted in the role in Season 24, however, he has played other minor characters in seasons 9, 13, 17 and 20. He last appeared last season in episode 13.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit follows detectives from the Special Victims Unit as they investigate and prosecute sexually based crimes. Some episodes are loosely based on real crimes that have been ripped from the headlines.

Dick Wolf is in for another busy season at NBC. Among the shows, this will rep the 26th season of “Law & Order: SVU,” the 24th season of “Law & Order,” Season 13 for “Chicago Fire,” the 12th season for “Chicago PD” and the 10th season for “Chicago Med.” All of the renewed series are produced by Universal Studio Group’s Universal Television division, along with Wolf Entertainment, and all shows stream the following day on Peacock. The network has ordered new seasons of all three of its Chicago dramas — Med, Fire and Pd — along with Law & Order and Law & Order: Svu. Notably missing from the list is Law & Order: Organized Crime, whose status is “still under discussion,” according to NBC. All six series come from Dick Wolf’s Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television.

Svu will add to its record as the longest-running primetime drama in American TV history with a 26th season in 2024-25, while Law & Order — which recently saw the departure of series fixture Sam Waterston — will air its 24th. NBC’s Law & Order franchise will open the 2022-23 by doing something it has never done in its long history.

All three shows in the brand — the original L&o, Svu and Organized Crime — will come together for a single story spanning their season premieres on Sept. 22. It’s a first for Law & Order but not for executive producer Dick Wolf, whose teams have pulled off similar three-show events on NBC’s Chicago dramas and CBS’ FBI franchise.

Law & Order showrunner Rick Eid and Chicago Pd’s Gwen Sigan wrote the feature-length telecast. Franchise veteran Jean de Segonzac directs the first two hours; Alex Hall helms the third.
