As one of the biggest contemporary interdisciplinary artists in the world, it's hard to remember a time when Ariana Grande wasn't a household name. In 2024 alone, she released seventh studio album "Eternal Sunshine" to a red hot commercial reception and solid reviews from critics, before turning in an Academy Award-worthy performance in the blockbuster Universal Pictures musical adaptation "Wicked," which is nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars.
Grande's rise in popularity over the past decade has indeed been something to behold, given that she was once one of countless child stars struggling to break into the mainstream entertainment industry. After making her Broadway debut in the musical "13," this lifelong theater kid would find success on the Nickelodeon network before breaking out into a solo recording career that would turn her into a global icon virtually overnight. Dracula: A Comedy Of Terrors is everything you want in an off-Broadway show – funny, campy and wildly creative. Now playing at Manhattan’s New World Stages, this Dracula has its fangs firmly in cheek using four actors to play all the major roles.
Dracula (James Daly) relocates from Transylvania to the British countryside in order to pursue the perfect neck of Lucy (Jordan Boatman), who is the betrothed of his timid real estate broker Jonathan (Andrew Keenan-Bolger).
The play, adapted from a 2020 podcast, was written hilariously by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen with direction by Greenberg. It builds the zany fun as sexy Dracula proves himself to be an equal-opportunity bloodsucker. The roles (and genders) swap at breakneck speed until it reaches a delirious climax that’s well worth the 90-minute run time.
Dracula: Comedy Of Terrors is now playing at New World Stages until January 7. Get your tickets now.

The Other Two, the comedy series from former SNL co-head writers Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider, has scored a third-season pickup from HBO Max.
The series, which originally launched on Comedy Central before moving the WarnerMedia streamer for its second season, debuted its sophomore season on HBO Max in August. The streamer, which didn’t release viewing data, said that the show has been its most popular series since the release of Season 2 and has seen “steady growth each week” as new episodes dropped.
The comedy, which might be the only show on television that has a storyline based on Justin Bieber getting ill as a result of eating too many eggs, stars Drew Tarver, Heléne Yorke, Case Walker, Ken Marino and Molly Shannon.
With their pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Case Walker), officially entering retirement at the ripe old age of 14, Brooke (Yorke) and Cary (Tarver) now must contend with...

“The Other Two” duo of Drew Tarver and Heléne Yorke are back! The series, focused on the lives of brother and sister Cary and Brooke Dubek, is moving from its original home on Comedy Central over to the HBO Max streaming service. The first trailer for Season 2 dropped and, dare we say, Cary and Brooke might be acting a little bit more mature than they once were?
The comedy follows Cary and Brooke who are the “other two” older siblings of superstar Chase Dubek (Case Walker). Unfortunately, Cary and Brooke are still having a hard time breaking into the industry; the former looks to be hosting a digital E! series while the latter is participating in her mom Pat’s (Molly Shannon) new talk show.

After a very long hiatus following its first season, “The Other Two” is finally debuting its second season later this month. On Wednesday, HBO Max — the new home of the former Comedy Central series — released the trailer for the upcoming episodes, which see siblings Cary (Drew Tarver) and Brooke (Heléne Yorke) play second fiddle yet again, but this time not to their famous brother, Chase Dubek (Case Walker).
Nope, now it’s their mom Pat Dubek (played by Molly Shannon) who is hogging all the spotlight from her desperate-to-be-famous kids.
Per HBO Max’s description for Season 2 of “The Other Two”: With their pop star brother, ChaseDreams (Case Walker), officially entering retirement at the ripe old age of fourteen, Brooke and Cary (Heléne Yorke and Drew Tarver) must now contend with a new famous family member: their 53-year-old mother Pat (Molly Shannon), and her eponymous daytime talk show. Marvel has announced that they are launching a new scripted murder mystery podcast called Wolverine: The Long Night and Wolverine will be played by The Hobbit’s Richard Armitage. The series is being scripted by podcast writer Ben Percy and it's described as a blend of programs such as Serial, S-Town, True Detective, and Unforgiven. Percy explains:
“If you look at the success of Serial and S-Town, it has everything to do I think with their investigative formats, the way the listeners become complicit in the narrative. They’re co-authors, they’re literary detectives, because they’re piecing together the clues alongside the reporters, and I wanted to take a similar approach to that.”
As far as the story goes, it will follow two agents, "Sally Pierce (Celia Keenan-Bolger) and Tad Marshall (Ato Essandoh), who arrive in the fictional town of Burns, Alaska, to investigate a series of murders. The...

Disney’s 2012 Tony-winning Broadway musical Newsies makes its debut on the big screen this week, playing in movie theaters nationwide for three days beginning Thursday as part of a new partnership between Fathom Events and Disney Theatrical Productions.
It’s an unexpected move for the cult favorite, which had a long journey to success.
Newsies was primed to be the High School Musical hit of 1992 — with a cast of singing and dancing teens (including a young Christian Bale), a score by composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast) and lyricist Jack Feldman, and future HSM director Kenny Ortega at the helm.
