The BBC has canceled one of their longest-running series after 23 years on the air. Established in 1922, the British Broadcasting Company is one of the oldest and largest broadcasting companies in history. Over the years, the network has been home to several long-running shows, including the sci-fi series Doctor Who, which originally debuted in 1963 and ran until 1989 before being relaunched in 2005 and is still running to this day.
In addition to Doctor Who, there are several other long-running BBC series. Coronation Street and EastEnders are two long-running BBC soap operas, which began in 1960 and 1985, respectively. Causality is a medical drama that has been a staple of British television since 1986, while Silent Witness is a police procedural drama that has been broadcast since 1996. However, another one of their long-running soap operas, which has aired on BBC Scotland since 2002, has now been canceled.

Arguably the most popular movie franchise featuring Oscar-winning actor Will Smith shoots its way onto a new streaming platform to start 2025. The Bad Boys film series will be available to watch for free in the New Year, but with a catch.
The free streaming platform, Tubi, confirmed that they will begin airing the Bad Boys movies on Jan. 1, 2025. However, the service is set to stream only the first two movies, the eponymous original film and Bad Boys II, meaning fans hoping to see Bad Boys for Life and Ride or Die will have to go elsewhere to catch up with the most recent installments of the action comedy series.

Marketed by the Edinburgh Film Festival as Scotland’s answer to Love, Actually, Fast Romance follows a series of intertwining love stories, each thread somehow linked to the eponymous Fast Romance, a Glasgow-based speed-dating service. As is to be expected from any such ensemble comedy some subplots are more successful than others. More-so than in the case of it’s spiritual predecessor, however, Fast Romance is noticeably lacking in actual plot.
When Gordon Boyd (William Ruane), an unorganised postman who may – at a stretch – qualify as the main character, comes across a pen bearing the brand Fast Romance outside the address of Nadine (Jo Freer), a customer he fancies, he decides to give the service a go in the hope of winning her affections. Forced into taking boss Mr. You’d-Better-Call-Me-Kenny Cairnes (Derek Munn) with him, Boyd is joined at the event by a timid copy-girl, a begrudgingly dutiful bride-to-be,...

London -- Universal Music Publishing has struck a deal with the husband-and-wife creative team of Sascha and Tessa Hartmann -- who have spent five years in production on the CGI-animated movie "Sir Billi" -- to publish five original songs for the movie.

Universal will publish Bassey's version of the title song, "Guardian of the Highlands," with lyrics by Tessa Hartmann, who penned them with Bassey in mind.
Sascha Hartmann composed the music, and Tessa Hartmann wrote the lyrics for the five featured original songs.
Universal and Glasgow-based Billi Prods. remain tight-lipped about the four other artists being lined up for the songs, written by the Hartmanns.

The first images from Sir Billi, the animated film featuring the voice of Sean Connery, have arrived online. As we reported back November, the movie sounds like someone came up with it while enjoying every drug ever made: “The movie centers on a retired, skateboarding veterinarian who lives in a remote Scottish village and who spearheads the rescue of an illegal fugitive who also happens to be a beaver.” At the time, part of me thought, “That can’t possibly be right.” Who would make that? Sean Connery would make that. He’s a producer on the film who has been instrumental in getting it made.* It’s also the first film he’s done since 2003’s The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
You can see the images after the jump and keep in mind that indie feature animated films don’t have the money of studios like DreamWorks or Pixar.

Every once in a while in the world of cinema, the imagery and the music blend so harmoniously and magnificently that they attain legendary status; it's hard to imagine any other combination working quite so well. And one of the best examples of this can be found in the opening titles of the 1964 James Bond film, Goldfinger. Sean Connery's visage combined with the powerhouse voice of Shirley Bassey singing the title track (not to mention Maurice Binder's title sequence) created an indelible cinematic image that resonates as much today as it did back in the '60s.
And now comes word that the singular voice of Shirley Bassey and the thespian talents of Sean Connery will be combined once again — for the first time since 1964 — for the CGI animated movie Sir Billi. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bassey has signed up to sing the title song, "Guardian of...
