There may be new life in the military drama TV series “Seal Team” ending seven seasons in 2024, following the lives of an elite unit of ‘US Navy SEALs’, starring David Boreanaz as ‘Team Bravo’ leader ‘Jason Hayes’, with renewed interest in a stand-alone feature, focusing on stopping terrorist-designated drug cartels in Mexico:
“…with no one killed off in the finale, and an overall uplifting ending that is ripe with possibilities and new beginnings…
“…it’s possible for the procedural’s story to be revisited, as a stand-alone movie was announced in 2022…”
“In the final episode, after a successful mission resulted in the capture of a major fentanyl drug trader and the elimination of a ‘Green Beret’ traitor, ‘Jason Hayes’ (Boreanaz) and ‘Team Bravo’ head home to Virginia Beach.
“But the reprieve with family, as they process the intense events of the season, is short-lived, with the unit deployed to Afghanistan for one final mission.

Action shows have been one of the most popular sources of entertainment for decades. Action TV series have been produced on a regular basis — some focusing on long-term, serialized stories of heroes while others have taken a shorter approach more suitable for a binging session. All things considered, however, the genre is almost as popular on TV as it is in the movies.
The action genre has produced incredibly memorable shows that can hold their own with blockbuster counterparts like Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible franchise. The genre has also proven to be incredibly versatile and has experimented with a range of formats, including real-time seasons, anthologies, and merging with other genres. All of these have combined to create brilliant shows that have thriving fandoms years if not decades later.

Seal Team: The Complete Series has hit DVD for a fantastic watch for this hit drama!
Running from 2017 to 2024, Seal Team may not have been a huge ratings winner, but it amassed a loyal following during its run. Debuting on CBS, the series focuses on Bravo Team, an elite Seal unit who handle various emergencies across the world. It’s led by Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz), a veteran who feels alive in the field. Backing him up are Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot), Ray Perry (Neil Brown Jr.), Sonny Quinn (A.J. Buckley), and Lisa Davis (Toni Trucks), who eventually moves to become an intelligence officer. Also around for the first few seasons is Mandy Ellis (Jessica Paré), the team’s CIA liaison.

Seal Team's showrunner and executive producer Spencer Hednut explains why the show's final ten episodes did not feature an appearance by Max Thieriot as Clay Spenser. Even though he'd been with the action drama series since the very beginning, Thieriot left during season 6 to focus on his dual roles as the co-creator and lead star of Fire Country. Even though Hednut left the door for a possible cameo by Thieriot, in the form of a flashback or a dream sequence, Seal Team ended without the veteran television actor reprising his role.
In an interview with TV Insider to discuss the conclusion of the long-running action series, Hednut gave a detailed explanation for Clay's absence. The showrunner mentioned that it was difficult to work out an appearance by Thieriot because of his commitments to Fire Country. Still, in the quote below, Hednut argues that Clay's presence can be felt throughout the season:

Taye Diggs got his start in the professional performing arts world on stage, not on screen. He had a successful Broadway career with roles in Carousel and Rent before he appeared in his first TV roles in 1996. He has become such a prolific film and TV actor since then that many might forget that hes a song and dance man first.
Diggs first big screen break was with the romance How Stella Got Her Groove Back in 1998. Hes been nonstop as an actor and writer ever since. In fact, in addition to all his work on screen, Diggs has also written four childrens books and founded a dance company. With all of his creative talent, its no wonder that he has worked on so many great movies and TV shows.

The Paramount+ series Seal Team recently wrapped its seventh season. Following the series finale, David Boreanaz, who played Master Chief Special Warfare Operator Jason Hayes, addressed his character's fate in the military drama.
Speaking to Variety, Boreanaz revealed that the creative team had contemplated killing Jason. "We played with the idea in one season where he is taking more of a command in the Havoc [control] room and trying to feel what that would feel like," the actor said. "Personally, for me to put the character in that situation, I didn't feel that it made sense. I think it would be more awkward and a little bit more fish out of water. I mean, Master Chief wouldn't really be a fish out of water, but for that situation it'd be boring."

Warning: Spoilers ahead for the Seal Team series finale!Seal Team showrunner Spencer Hudnut has explained how the series would have continued without lead actor David Boreanz after season 7 if the show had continued. Spoiler Alert: The following article contains spoilers from Sunda’s series finale of CBS’ Seal Team.
With a final episode aired Sunday, Oct. 6, the CBS Studios military drama Seal Team has come to a close. Spanning seven seasons about an elite unit of U.S. Navy SEALs across CBS and Paramount+, it was one of the few series to bridge the gap between networks and streamers.
After a successful mission end in the penultimate episode of Seal Team Season 7, which resulted in the capture of a major fentanyl drug trader and elimination of a Green Beret traitor, Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) and Team Bravo head home to Virginia Beach. But the reprieve with family, as they process the intense events of the season, is short-lived, with the unit deployed to Afghanistan for one final mission.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Seal Team series finale “The Last Word.”] Seal Team ended its seven-season run with a hopeful series finale, one that made it easy to imagine where these characters could go next and without another tragic loss. But what would we have seen if there had been more? Most of the seventh season saw Jason (David Boreanaz) grappling with what he’s done as a result of war, resulting in him going to see the wife of the first man he killed in Afghanistan. We did not see that conversation—he instead relayed it to Ray (David Boreanaz) and Sonny (A.J. Buckley)—and that’s because, as executive producer Spencer Hudnut tells TV Insider, the original plan, before knowing this was the final season, was to end with Jason going to see the wife with Mandy (Jessica Paré). “If we came back in a Season 8, they would find themselves in some serious ...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Seal Team series finale “The Last Word.”] By the end of the Seal Team series finale, Bravo is moving forward without two key members—but, perhaps surprisingly, not because either of them dies. Still operating are Jason (David Boreanaz)—who’s doing better after going to see the wife of the first man he killed in Afghanistan—Omar (Raffi Barsoumian), Drew (Beau Knapp), Brock (Justin Melnick), and Trent (Tyler Grey). Ray (Neil Brown Jr.), meanwhile, does not retire to join Naima (Parisa Fakhri) full-time as Spenser House but instead takes the head of warfighter health position that had been marked for Jason. Sonny (A.J. Buckley) is also off Bravo, having given up his trident to ensure the investigation into who hit Colonel Decker didn’t stop Davis (Toni Trucks) from getting the promotion she deserved—and they’re now together! The popularity of The CW's Supernatural has resulted in several attempts at a spinoff series. Since its 2005 release, Supernatural ran for a total of 15 seasons, covering the exploits of the Winchester brothers as they traveled across America, hunting monsters on the trail of their estranged father. Seal Team is currently in the middle of airing its seventh and final season on Paramount+. While some fans would have liked to have seen the military drama series continue with an eighth season, lead star David Boreanaz recently explained why now was the perfect time to end Seal Team.
In an interview with Collider to promote the final season of Seal Team, Boreanaz opened up about his decision to end the show after its seventh season, explaining that he "decided to end the show the way I wanted to end the show with the character. It was over for me. I knew that, and thats what I expressed to them. I was like, 'Im done, both physically and mentally.'" The actor shared that it is "very difficult to portray these types of emotions, day in day out, when youre shooting them."

The missions of this crew are wining down in the seventh season of the Seal Team TV show on Paramount+? Were we ready for a filler episode so soon into the third season?
Seal Team Season 7 Episode 3 placed too much focus on Drew, and it’s going to take too long to get to know him for me to care that much about his family issues.
At least the end is still in sight as both Ray and Jason fight inside themselves about what their futures hold.
(Michael Moriatis/Paramount+)
So, let’s start with Drew. What’s your interest level in him so far?
This kind of “toxic masculinity,” to use a turn of phrase I really don’t like, does grate on my nerves.
It’s only been three episodes and I’m already done with the idea an independent like Drew would have lasted this long in the military.

Bode's confession in the finale guaranteeing his return to prison sets the stage for a dramatic showdown with Sleeper in season 2. Bode's shocking sacrifice for Freddy ensured his freedom, despite costing him his own and his parents' trust in him. Luke's kidney donation to Sharon provided a silver lining amidst negative developments for Bode and Three Rock.
The explosive finale of Fire Country season 1 seemingly neutralized Bodes development, with its twists and turns letting him land in a place opposite to where season 1s second half set Bode up to be. After Fire Country season 1 detailed the problems Bode faced having to return to the hometown he abandoned and the difficulties Vince and Sharon dealt with welcoming him back into the family after years they were strangers, its season finale destroyed their progress with Bodes confession. David Boreanaz has been one of the hardest-working television actors in the business ever since getting his big break on Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1997. Looking at his output since becoming everyone's favorite vampire cursed with a soul, Boreanaz has worked consistently across hit TV series after hit TV series without even much of a break. His latest series, Seal Team, is ending after a seven-season run and the actor is revealing that his body is the main reason the show is coming to an end. The next episode airs Aug. 18; the series finale will drop Oct. 6.
During a chat with People, Boreanaz spoke about the ending of Seal Team. Because he and the other actors were so dedicated to making sure the series was as authentic as possible, it began to take a toll on his body physically. A lot was riding on the first two episodes of Seal Team Season 7 after the Season 6 finale sent the show in an exciting direction.
As you’ll recall, Jason (David Boreanaz) went public with his Tbi while accepting an award, leaving his future up in the air.
Command was understandably blindsided by his actions and hauled him in to tell him that his career, as he knew it, was over.
In one of the most powerful TV scenes in recent memory, various Navy SEALs appeared to reveal their own ailments in a show of solidarity.
At the beginning of Seal Team Season 7 Episode 1, Bravo Team was still intact but not operating.
Simply put, the team members do what they usually do when back home, only over a longer time, because there’s no longer faith they’re a functional team.

When news broke that Seal Team would end with its seventh season, it wasn’t too much of a surprise.
The CBS-turned-Paramount+ drama has been slowly preparing for the end of its run over the last few seasons, with the character arcs slowly but surely reaching their final stages.
Paramount+ shared the first two episodes of Seal Team Season 7 with critics ahead of its launch, and it’s fair to say that these installments have a sense of finality.
Jason Hayes (David Boreanaz) has always been the heart and soul of Seal Team, even though the character has made countless questionable decisions over the years.
The first two episodes of the final installment find Jason reflecting on his career, thanks in large part to his decision to go against Command and reveal the truth about his Tbi.

Quick Links Max Thieriot's Seal Team Co-Star Aj Buckley Is A Co-Producer On Fire Country Thieriot & Buckley Reuniting Onscreen In Fire Country Would Be Way More Emotional After Seal Team Season 6's Ending What Aj Buckley Has Said About Appearing On Fire Country
While watching Fire Country, I cannot help but wonder if the series will have a reunion between Max Thieriot and Aj Buckley. The two of them starred in the military drama series Seal Team with an extraordinary onscreen friendship. For six seasons, they took on some of the most dangerous missions together and seemed unstoppable. However, that turned out not to be the case. Clay Spenser (Thieriot) tragically and heartbreakingly dies in season 6, while Buckley's Sonny Quinn lives on. With season 3 of Fire Country releasing soon, there is a chance the two actors may reunite onscreen.
Max Thieriot portrays Fire Country's leading character, Bode Leone.

It’s the question that has to be asked every season of Seal Team: Will this finally be the one where Sonny Quinn (A.J. Buckley) and Lisa Davis (Toni Trucks) can make a relationship work? They’ve given it a try in the past, but work has gotten in the way. Now that we’re going into the final season of the Paramount+ military drama, it is now or never (at least onscreen). “I know, I know, I know,” Trucks says with a laugh when TV Insider points out that it’s been one step forward and then three or four steps back for the characters. Season 6 left off with the two trying to “solidify their connection, their friendship,” she says, recalling Sonny’s line about Davis being the only best friend he has. (Clay died.) And “it’s hard because they have such a shorthand with each other that...

Seal Team season 6 wrapped up with a perfect conclusion, but the renewal for season 7 might spoil it. The finale offered closure for viewers and hinted at a hopeful future despite the challenges ahead. Clay's death will leave a void in season 7, and the show may resort to forced drama for new conflicts.
Seal Team season 6 concluded with every arc at a natural endpoint, but the decision to bring the show back for season 7 could derail a perfect ending. The season 6 finale released on November 20, 2022, but the Seal Team season 7 renewal wasn't announced until January 2023. This means creatives were forced to craft a season finale that could also function as a series finale.
The show has successfully charted the highs and lows of Bravo Team for many years, so ending the series with cliffhangers and no resolution if it was subsequently canceled would have left most viewers unhappy. Still, it's surprising...
