When The Last of Us returns to HBO for Season 2 on Sunday, it will have some new characters. Many of these folks will be familiar to people who played The Last of Us Part II, the video game on which Season 2 (and Season 3) of the series is based. Gamers have been waiting for years to finally see Abby, Dina, and the rest in the flesh, while non-gamers may feel a little lost, as the show suddenly has a whole new bunch of significant characters. Fear Season 1 (March 4) Credit – Prime Video

Fear is an upcoming British crime thriller drama series created by Mick Ford. Based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Dirk Kurbjuweit, the Prime Video series follows a couple as they move from London to Glasgow with their two children to look for a fresh start. Their fresh start soon turns into a nightmare because of a neighbor.

Bosch: Legacy is the sequel series of Bosch, the Prime Video TV series based on the LAPD detective created by author Michael Connelly. The original Bosch series followed Titus Welliver as Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch, a hardened, no-nonsense LAPD detective from the Hollywood Homicide division. Harry is a tough detective who usually follows his own rules. And even though some might question his methods and his distinct dislike for authority, Harry always finds the bad guy.

Bosch ended after seven seasons in 2021. But thanks to the popularity of the show and the critical acclaim Bosch received, a sequel series was quickly announced; Bosch: Legacy. Bosch: Legacy follows Harry after he resigns from the LAPD and becomes a private investigator. And besides Harry, Bosch: Legacy also follows Harry's daughter Maddie Bosch, as a rookie cop for the LAPD, and Honey Chandler, the controversial defense attorney who crossed paths multiple times with Harry in the original Bosch.

In the year plus since The Last of Us became a Max hit series with Season 1 debuting on the streamer January 15, 2023, the second season has gone full steam ahead in production after the dual Hollywood strike. Exciting developments such as an expanding cast and projected release date were given even before Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront presentation in May, where a first look was provided.

The cast of Season 1, which was shot in Calgary, Alberta, included Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess, Nico Parker as Sarah, Murray Bartlett as Frank, Nick Offerman as Bill, Melanie Lynskey as Kathleen, Storm Reid as Riley, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Jeffrey Pierce as Perry, Lamar Johnson as Henry, Keivonn Woodard as Sam, Graham Greene as Marlon, Elaine Miles as Florence, Ashley Johnson as Anna, and Troy Baker as James.

In an upcoming episode of Bosch: Legacy Season Two, private investigator Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch (Titus Welliver) asks a favor of a couple of colleagues from his days as an LAPD homicide detective. Their exchange is terse and extremely one-sided in favor of the self-righteous Bosch. As he walks away, Christina Vega (Jacqueline Obradors) mutters, “Same old Bosch.”

“Same old Bosch” might as well be the actual title of Bosch: Legacy, which is among the least spinoff-y of spinoffs ever made(*). It brings back the hero of Bosch as its main character.
