Another Netflix series, The Crown, also appeared multiple times, as was the case in last year’s awards. This time it won two Best Long Form Behind The Scenes awards for work on Season 6. Freddie Starr took off his mic and walked out of an interview with Good Morning Britain today, during his first TV chat since sex abuse allegations against him were dropped.

Starr later returned to complete the interview and explained that the subject was still "so raw".

The comedian, 71, was cross when interviewer Susanna Reid asked: "You've been in showbiz 50 years - do you think over that time you have done anything that could have been misinterpreted, in terms of your relationships?"

"Are you being serious?" replied Starr, before asking Reid to leave his house and walking out of the room.

London, May 4: Yewtree cops will target a pop superstar and a former politician after Max Clifford was recently jailed for 8 years for a string of sex attacks on young women, it has been revealed.

According to the sources, Operation Yewtree officers, who spurred on by the Clifford verdict, were preparing cases against the two high-profile names, the Daily Star reported.

The singer is accused of abusing a ten-year-old boy, who was said to have given a statement to officers last year.

The former politician also faced historic allegations that he abused boys.

The verdict in the publicist's trial was an important result for the officers on Yewtree, which was set up by the Metropolitan Police after the sex crimes.

London — Rolf Harris, a veteran entertainer who has released hit singles and painted Queen Elizabeth II's portrait, has been arrested as part of a police investigation into sexual abuse allegations stemming from the Jimmy Savile scandal, British media reported Friday.

Major media outlets followed The Sun newspaper in identifying Harris, an Australian-born artist, musician and television host who is a household name in Britain.

He was first questioned by police in November but not arrested. He was arrested in March and released on bail pending further inquiries.

Asked about Harris, London's Metropolitan Police said they would not name suspects who have not been charged.

London, Jan 11 (Reuters) - The late British TV presenter Jimmy Savile physically abused hundreds of people over six decades, according to a police-led report on Friday which said he carried out attacks at the BBC and at hospitals where he did voluntary work.

Of his victims, 73 percent were under 18 and 82 percent were female. The oldest was 47 and the youngest just 8.

"Savile's offending footprint was vast, predatory and opportunistic," Commander Peter Spindler told reporters.

Savile, one of the BBC's biggest stars of the 1970s and 80s received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth for charity work. He died in 2011, aged 84, a year before allegations about his abusive behaviour emerged in a TV documentary.

Friday's report said he had committed 214 criminal offences including 34 rapes or serious sexual assaults across the country.

His offending first occurred in 1955 in the northern English city of Manchester and the last attack was in 2009, the report said.

The number of alleged sexual abuse victims of Jimmy Savile has reached 450, police have confirmed. Operation Yewtree teams have spoken to 589 people in relation to offences carried out by the late broadcaster and others. The alleged victims are 82% female and 80% children or young people, reports BBC News. Operation Yewtree is investigating Savile's abuse under three sections - abuse committed by Savile alone; abuse committed by Savile along with others; and others committing abuse. London — Police investigating child sex abuse allegations against the late BBC television host Jimmy Savile arrested former glam rock star and convicted sex offender Gary Glitter on Sunday, British media reported, raising further questions about whether Savile was at the center of a broader pedophile ring.

The 29-year-old woman who broke into Simon Cowell's London home has been remanded in custody. The X Factor judge is said to have discovered Leanne Zaloumis in his house on Saturday night, coming face-to-face with her when he investigated an upstairs noise. Zaloumis, who was allegedly armed with a broken brick, was charged with aggravated burglary, and appeared at West London Magistrates' Court this morning. Cowell's publicist Max Clifford said: "It was very frightening for Simon who told me it was like something from a horror movie." London, March 26 (Reuters) - A woman suspected of breaking into the home of television entrepreneur Simon Cowell, reportedly armed with a brick, is due to appear in court on Monday.

Cowell, the music mogul turned TV producer who created "The X Factor" talent show programme that airs in both Britain and the United States, was confronted by the intruder late on Saturday at his home in west London, police said.

"There was a loud bang and Simon rushed upstairs to find out what was going on," Cowell's spokesman Max Clifford told the Sun newspaper. "It came from the bathroom so he went in - and there was a woman standing there holding a brick."

"It was very frightening for Simon who told me it was like something from a horror movie."

Cowell's "on-site security team" turned up and detained the woman until police showed up, according to the Sun.
