The number one rule in professional wrestling is for opponents to protect each other from legitimate, serious injuries, and if that isn't possible with a wrestling move, there's a good chance that move is banned by WWE. There are a number of different wrestling moves that have been banned because they've been considered too dangerous to the Superstars' well-being.
Granted, oftentimes, a move can and has been unbanned if the danger surrounding it can be minimized, perhaps by a wrestler doing it who is trustworthy or learning more facts about how to do the move safely. As a result, some of the moves on this list that were once banned are now regularly seen on television. That being said, there are also moves that are still considered unsafe to do inside of a WWE ring to this day.

While the entertainment industry has seen wrestlers swapping their rings and turning into actors, Stephen Amell was an exception as he became among the actors who switched their roles to wrestling. For a wrestling career boosted by his athleticism which started back in 2015, the Arrow star has gained quite a few valuable experiences in WWE as well the way he has done in Hollywood.

Like getting advice from Triple H, which happened right before his first match. Of course, being in the presence of a renowned professional in the field, Amell didn’t take his timeless advice lightly. However, it was only when it came to implementing it practically that the actor realized the true essence of the advice and regretted not using it during one of his best Aew moments.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features seven matches. Let’s see what went down…
Match #1: Juice Robinson def. Pat Buck
My Thoughts: Pat Buck, back in the ring? Yes, the man who’s spent most of the recent years behind the scenes in both Aew and previously WWE, gets in front of the camera for a match against Bullet Club Gold’s Juice Robinson and big things were, honestly, expected. Yet whilst it was a solid match it didn’t set the world on fire. Great opener for Dark though!
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: The Renegades def. Kiah Dream & Brittany J
My Thoughts: What a surprise, the Renegades face enhancement talent and get a quick, decisive, squash match win. But when they’re the enhancement talent? The same happens to them! I get a steady job is good in the wider “indie...

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features eight matches this week. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Sandra Moone and J-Rod
My Thoughts: Well this was an interesting surprise. I expected a squash but no, Rose and Shafir let their opponents put some work in and this came off as more competitive than even the patented Aew “quasi-squash”. Great start to this week’s show!
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Rob McKnight
My Thoughts: Now This was a squash match! Everything Rob McKnight tried to do was totally no-sold by Cage, who eventually trapped McKnight in the King Kong Clutch for the win.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features eleven(!) matches which immediately fills me with dread… Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Matt Menard & Angelo Parker def. Fuego Del Sol & Leon Ruffin
My Thoughts: A decent opening match and it was great to see Fuego Del Sol back in action on Aew programming, especially here where he teams with Leon Ruffin. A decent start to the show.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Mei Suruga def. Hyena Hera
My Thoughts: Hyena Hera tried to use her height advantage over Mei Suruga but it was not to be as Suruga went rabid and started biting Hera! The rest of the match was a decent back and forth between the two. Nothing super exciting but good enough.

Isiah Kassidy worked over Nick’s arm but Nick escaped and hit a twisting arm drag off the top rope. Nick tagged in Matt Jackson and the Bucks used their tandem offense on Kassidy. Kenny Omega and Matt Jackson tagged in for their respective teams. They locked up and Hardy hit a shoulder block. Omega avoided a Side Effect from Hardy. Matt Hardy was looking to jump off the top rope onto Ethan Page when Page stole the glory, knocking down Omega.

Match #1: Brian Cage def. Schaff
My Thoughts: As this started I thought “here we go, another Brian Cage squash” but that is Not what we got! In the end that made for a great match!

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features thirteen(!) matches… Yes, the match count is creeping up, something I’m not a fan of! Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Christopher Daniels def. Brian Pillman Jr.
My Thoughts: It’s great to see Christopher Daniels in action again, even if it is on Dark. This was a decent back and forth, with an outcome that was always in doubt (which is great to see!). Daniels hit the Bme for the crowd-pleasing finish.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Emi Sakura def. Jada Stone
My Thoughts: Jada Stone got one move in here, I’m not sure that even qualifies as a typical Aew quasi-squash Tbh. Not much wet on here, so not much more to say than that!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Ryan Nemeth def. Dak Draper
My Thoughts: Who cares… It’s a Ryan Nemeth match.

Aj Styles has been one of the best professional wrestlers since the early 2000s, and a WWE Hall of Famer recently gave fans some insight into what the veteran is like backstage. The Phenomenal One has been absent from Raw's championship scene for quite some time, with Roman Reigns holding both the WWE Championship. Still, he's one of the company's most dependable hands, and audiences know they're in for a treat whenever his—or The Oc's—music hits. Kurt Angle spent time with Styles while he was in Tna and recently spoke about how awesome Aj is to work alongside.
Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic Gold Medalist said the following about one of WWE's workhorses in Styles: "Whether I was alongside him as a tag team or working with him, he made me better. Every time I wrestled with him or against him, he made me better.

Welcome to this week’s review of Impact Wrestling, which this week opens with a Before the Impact match that saw Laredo Kid defeat Blake Christian. Plus we get more build to this year’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. Let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans def. Jordynne Grace & Mia Yim The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Before the Knockouts make history in the first-ever Queen of the Mountain match for the Knockouts World Title at Slammiversary, momentum is up for grabs tonight! Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green, who will also compete in Queen of the Mountain, are seen watching on a monitor backstage. Evans arm drags her own partner, sending Steelz crashing into Yim. Steelz hits Yim with a tornado Ddt out of the corner. Yim sends Steelz to the outside, then plants Evans face-first into the turnbuckle to create separation and make the tag to Grace.

Another episode of Aew: Dark and another short(er) show post-Double or Nothing. We get six matches this week, running Shorter than last week’s four-match show… I guess we’re in for some squash matches? Let’s join Taz and Excalibur, commentators for Dark as usual, and see.
Match #1: Lance Archer vs. Aaron Solo
My Thoughts: What’s this? Solo doesn’t get thrown into the ring by Archer like most of his opponents And he manages to almost pin Archer too! Solo sold a “fear” of Archer well, trying his best to get the match over with as soon as possible. Of course that wasn’t going to work and Archer took control and got the win.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Christopher Daniels def. Steve Andrews
My Thoughts: Daniels gave Steve Andrews far too much room to get in his offence in this match. Far too much.

Do you remember the last episode of WCW’s Monday Night Nitro? It was a pretty surreal night in the history of professional wrestling. Vince McMahon had purchased World Championship Wrestling, there was the only simulcast between Raw and Nitro in the history of the Monday Night Wars, and Ric Flair cut a promo where he mentioned Harley Race and Buff Bagwell in the same sentence. It was truly a night of firsts.
The aftermath of the purchase left a giant void in the wrestling business as McMahon’s primary competitor had been vanquished. It was only a short month after the purchase that Paul Heyman’s Ecw would finally succumb to financial struggles and have to close their doors as well. Whether intended or not, both brand names were quickly buried during the disappointing “Invasion” angle and both promotions are now relegated to DVD releases and WWE Network time slots.

Fans of wrestling nationwide will have the pay-per-view pleasure tonight of watching Lockdown 2013, the latest crafted conflict from Tna Wrestling (and no, we looked it up, it actually stands for Total Non-stop Action). Welcome to this week’s Tna Review, unfortunately one day late due to an epic six-and-a-half hour game of Risk (for anybody interested, I won). But, let’s get down to business, as quite a great deal is expected to occur this week in the build-up to the Lockdown PPV. As the show is emanating once again from the Impact Zone following their British vacation, we will probably see the re-emergence of the World Champion Jeff Hardy, who was absent throughout the whole tour due to injury and his poor criminal record. What will he have to say about the injuries that he sustained at the hands of Aces & Eights four weeks prior, and also about the new threat to his World Championship in the form of Bully Ray-Hogan.

It is once again time to react to the events of Impact Wrestling, and contemplate what they are doing right and wrong. However, this edition is special for two reasons. It is Open Fight Night, and the show is emanating from Manchester, England, and so you can be pretty sure to expect some old stereotypes being brought up by heels in order to draw some cheap heat. The English crowds are usually fired up as they often don’t get to feature as the background to a weekly wrestling recording, so they should provide suitably raucous responses to the drama that takes place in the ring.
But where are we in Tna after last week? The show ended with an Aces & Eights attack on the World Champion Jeff Hardy after he had successfully defended his title against Christopher Daniels. Now that the group has begun to target the World Champion,...
