Damon Salvatore's Most Underrated Vampire Diaries Episode Is Actually Flawless From Beginning to End
The Vampire Diaries followed Elena Gilbert and the Salvatore brothers. The three took on all matters of supernatural enemies while falling in and out of love with each other. With high-stakes and epic finales, there are some episodes that get overlooked or fly a little under the radar.
The game-changing final episode of season two is one of the highest-rated episodes of the series and one of the best episodes for Damon fans, but an earlier episode in the season has tons of brilliant Damon moments and is a fantastic episode. “The Last Dance” is when audiences first see Klaus in action when he possesses Alaric’s body. He learns that Bonnie is super-charged and confident she can kill Klaus if he shows up.

NBC is making a scheduling change, taking new drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society out of its Sunday 10 Pm slot and putting it at 8 Pm Fridays, beginning April 4. The decision comes three episodes into Grosse Pointe‘s run.
The swiftness of NBC’s action is understandable as Grosse Pointe has been drawing very low linear ratings, with the series sitting at the bottom of all of the network’s series in both total audience and adults 18-49, averaging just over a million viewers in Live+ Same Day the last two weeks.
While a move to the low-trafficked Friday night for a new broadcast series would’ve meant a certain death back in the day, the rules are different in the streaming age.
With its serialized mystery-themed storytelling, Grosse Pointe, from the Good Girls duo of Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs, was always considered better suited for streaming. As Deadline reported last year,...

A midstream scheduling change is a rarity for networks in recent years, but one is happening at NBC.
The network will move its first-year drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society from Sunday to Friday nights starting April 4. The show will take the 8 p.m. spot currently occupied by Happy’s Place; the Reba McEntire-led comedy finishes its season March 21. Episodes of Dateline will take over the 10 p.m. Sunday slot after Grosse Pointe Garden Society moves.
The change in nights is meant to help Grosse Pointe Garden Society get some more eyes to its on-air showings. The series, which follows members of a suburban garden club whose lives become entangled with scandal and secrets — and a murder — has found some traction streaming on Peacock, but its on-air viewing has struggled some.
Through its first three episodes, Grosse Pointe Garden Society has averaged a scant 1.29 million same-day viewers, making it NBC’s lowest on-air performance this season.

“Grosse Pointe Garden Society” is on the move.
NBC is moving the drama series from its current Sunday night timeslot to Fridays at 8 p.m. Et/Pt beginning April 4. “Dateline NBC” will take over the Sunday 10 p.m. slot.
The move does not bode well for the future of “Grosse Pointe,” as a move to Fridays midway through a freshman season typically indicates a show is destined for cancellation. NBC has been successfully programming comedies on Friday nights of late, however, with the Reba McEntire multi-cam “Happy’s Place” recently earning a Season 2 renewal. The season finale of that show is set to air on March 21.
Still, despite relatively solid reviews, “Grosse Pointe” has failed to make a major impact in the broadcast ratings. Per NBC, the pilot has grown to a 1.21 rating in the adults 18-49 demo and 6.6 million total viewers across all platforms since it originally debuted on Feb.

The small town is one filled to the max with secrets and lies. Can Birdie truly trust Joel with this knowledge that could put her and her friends in prison? Fumero spilled the dirt (pun intended) to TV Insider. “Birdie can definitely trust Joel with this secret of what has transpired with the body, Quiche,” she said. “Why, I can’t say, but she definitely can trust him.” While the “stakes are high for both of them,” Joel will continue to go to great lengths to protect Birdie. “He wants to keep his boo out of jail,...

Hulu subscribers watching the first-ever livestream of the Academy Awards were left without the night’s most anticipated moments when the stream cut off just before the final two awards. As Anora built momentum through major categories, viewers expecting to see the Best Actress and Best Picture announcements instead saw their screens go dark.
The outage meant that subscribers missed Anora star Mikey Madison winning Best Actress over The Substance’s Demi Moore, a result that had been one of the night’s biggest surprises. Moments later, Anora claimed Best Picture, securing Sean Baker his fourth Oscar of the night.
Social media quickly filled with frustrated posts from viewers who were cut off at the ceremony’s peak. Complaints poured in as users shared screenshots of their screens, questioning how a service owned by Disney— the same company broadcasting the show on ABC—could fail during the most critical part of the event.

Hulu subscribers trying to keep up with Anora’s roll though many of the major Oscars categories Sunday missed out on the evening’s climax, when the film won Best Picture and Sean Baker became the only other person besides Walt Disney to win four Oscars in one night. Why? Because the Disney-owned service’s stream ended before the show’s telecast on Disney-owned ABC did.
Disney gave Deadline the following statement: “This evening, we experienced technical and live stream issues on Hulu which impacted some Oscars viewers. We apologize for the experience and will make a full replay of the event available as soon as possible.”

“Grosse Point Garden Society” plunges viewers into a dark moment as a group of friends — linked by a suburban garden club in Michigan — cover up a murder, though just six months before, one of those four individual was barely an acquaintance.
The new NBC drama series straddles two timelines — one where Birdie (Melissa Fumero), who is known for a reputation of partying and trouble, is welcomed into the garden club by Alice (AnnaSophia Robb), Catherine (Aja Naomi King) and Brett (Ben Rappaport); and one that occurs the night of a mysterious fatality that the group bands together to cover up.
Despite a murder happening during the second timeline, Fumero said the audience meets Birdie at “one of the lowest points in her life” as she’s sentenced to community service after a reckless driving incident, which forces her to confront her next steps.

Until I saw NBC’s Grosse Pointe Garden Society, I’d never thought about how far it might be possible to take a gardening metaphor. Each of the four episodes sent to critics is threaded with voiceover narration, always from a different perspective but invariably laden with floral language comparing individual personalities to specific species or unwanted houseguests to pests.
To the extent that this series has a distinctive edge, it might be its commitment to this specific bit. A tiny part of me hopes it runs for a hundred episodes just to hear how tenuous or obscure the plant-based symbolism can get.
A much larger part of me, however, cannot bring myself to care whether it sticks around or not. Alice (AnnaSophia Robb) might liken herself to a wild geranium or her bestie Brett (Ben Rappaport) to a hardy dandelion. But the show they’re on is the TV...

NBC finally released the trailer for Grosse Pointe Garden Society. Days of our Lives isn’t the only soap that’s on Peacock. This new drama evokes murder, mystery, and intrigue.
What To Know
If you’re craving more murder mysteries, you’re in luck. This new series looks pretty on the outside with its attractive cast and floral aesthetics, but it’s a gritty trailer. The trailer introduces you to a group of friends who have to hide a murder. Birdie (Melissa Fumero) told Officer Joel (Matthew Davis), “My friends and I sort of murdered someone.” Alice (AnnaSophia Robb) provides the voiceover, “People are like the followers they plant. Some flowers are wild and without boundaries. We all may look perfect on the surface.”
This show reveals that nothing is what it seems. It also gives us major Desperate Housewives vibes. This series will explore the secrets that people keep from others.

Let’s be honest – playing one character brilliantly is hard enough, but Nina Dobrev took it to a whole new level in The Vampire Diaries. Her dual portrayal of Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce stands as a masterclass in character differentiation, where the slightest shift in posture, vocal tone, or facial expression could instantly signal which character was on screen.
Elena’s journey from an ordinary teenager to a supernatural being allowed Dobrev to showcase remarkable emotional range, while Katherine’s calculated manipulations required a completely different performance style – sophisticated, cunning, and layered with centuries of complex history.

Whether she was breaking our hearts, making us gasp, or leaving us slack-jawed with her ability to switch between characters in the same scene, Dobrev proved time and time again why she was the beating heart of the series.

Exclusive: Scott Foley has joined the cast of Scream 7 from Spyglass and Paramount Pictures.
Details regarding his character and the film’s plot are currently under wraps. However, Foley is already part of the Scream universe having portrayed antagonist Roman Bridger, the film director and half-brother of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) who was revealed to be the Ghostface Killer of Scream 3.
Foley’s casting comes with its own set of questions because Roman was killed by Dewey (David Arquette) at Sidney’s request. Roman has faked his own death before so it’s plausible that he could reprise the role in the present or perhaps in flashback form in the past if he is deceased. Could Roman have a long-lost twin? This is Scream after all, so if he returns as a ghost (face killer?) or a zombie, it would not shock most.

Reese Witherspoon’s 2001 Legally Blonde broke more barriers than one. While it started with a classic rom-com girl getting the guy back vibe, it slowly turned into a transformational journey of Witherspoon’s character Elle Woods.

Interestingly, the writers initially had a different ending planned for the movie. While the final version focused on Elle Woods coming into her own, the initial movie wanted to highlight that she did get her boyfriend back.
The test audience, however, wasn’t on board with that. As, according to them, it took away the entire message the movie wanted to showcase. So, the writers came up with the idea to change the narrative to fit the theme better. Hence, the all-time classic was born.

NBC is diving into the murderous world of a suburban garden club with Grosse Pointe Garden Society.
Based on the trailer alone, we’re already invested.
It’s hard to get a read on a show from a 60-second trailer, but the hook is compelling, and the cast is an embarrassment of riches, meaning we should be in for one of the more buzzy shows of the 2024-25 TV season.

It has been just over 15 years since The Vampire Diaries first premiered!
The supernatural drama debuted September 10, 2009 on The CW, running for eight seasons, 171 episodes, through March 10, 2017.
Starring Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, Matthew Davis and more, the series centered on 17-year-old Elena (Dobrev), who was torn between two vampire brothers, good Stefan and the evil Damon, who face new dangers in the town of Mystic Falls.
From it’s success, the popular show spawned two spinoffs – The Originals and Legacies, and there’s even an idea for a fourth series in the Tvd universe.
Other stars on the show included Steven R McQueen, Sara Canning, Candice King, Zach Roerig, Kayla Ewell, Michael Trevino, Joseph Morgan and Michael Malarkey.
Since it’s debut in 2009, the stars have gone on to have successful careers in Hollywood, and they have wracked up impressive fortunes in the process. But who is the wealthiest?...

Legacies has an admirable lineage, stemming all the way back to 2009. The year ushered in the arrival of The Vampire Diaries, a horror romance series on The CW that would create a long-running franchise. Created by Scream writer Kevin Williamson and long-time collaborator Julie Plec, the series took the L.J. Smith books and made them into something iconic.
The first few seasons of The Vampire Diaries fire on all cylinders as teenager Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) finds a reason to live again after her parents' tragic and premature deaths. Her romance with vampire Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) brings her into a world of horror but makes her feel alive again. The horror show adds impressively to vampire lore and created two subsequent spin-offs. But while The Originals found a way to build on the established mythology, Legacies was less successful for a few reasons.

It resonated with viewers and critics alike, including iconic movie critic Roger Ebert, who called the movie in his review impossible to dislike. Never watched it or want to watch it? Thats easy because Legally Blonde is now streaming for free on Tubi.
