We would love to get stuck in with another set of Tgit episodes. There is some bad news tonight, Thursday, Nov. 28. There are no new episodes of 911 or the rest of the Tgit lineup.
Tonight is Thanksgiving, so it isn’t all that surprising to hear that there won’t be any new episodes. ABC knows not to put new episodes of top shows on tonight. The linear ratings will take a hit as families come together and spend time playing boardgames or watching the football rather than regular TV.
It’s not just about Thanksgiving, though. We have some bad news for those ready for new episodes of 911 season 8 in 2024.

On a recent episode of ABC’s 911, Bold and the Beautiful alum Jennifer Finnigan guest starred with a familiar face—her real-life husband, Jonathan Silverman. They have been together for 20 years and married for roughly 17 years. So, it was a lot of fun to see them play a contentious couple on the hit Ryan Murphy series that moved from Fox to ABC this season.
Divorce 2024 Style
What was fun about this particular guest star appearance was knowing that Finnigan and Silverman were married in real life. In the episode of 911 titled “Confessions,” they were a husband and wife negotiating a tricky divorce. And, of course, it was messy, toxic, and chaotic.
Silverman’s character had hooked up with his attorney. On top of that, every time he sneezed, Finnigan’s character knew he was lying. That was his big tell. Unfortunately, for the husband, that would be his undoing.

Variety has broken the news that there’s a new horror film called Murder with the Stars heading our way – and this one’s coming from an unexpected creative team. Actor Jonathan Silverman, who is best known for his work in comedies like Caddyshack II and the Weekend at Bernie’s duology, will be directing the film, which is being produced by Jeff Franklin, the creator of the TV show Full House and its follow-up Fuller House!
Comedian Craig Shoemaker has written the screenplay… so, while the project isn’t being referred to as a horror comedy at this time, we can probably expect to see a good amount of comedy in the finished product. Shoemaker has previously written episodes of Just the Ten of Us and Fuller House, as well as the films The Lovemaster and Totally Baked.

The Canadian Screen Awards has unveiled nominations for the national film and TV prize-giving, and the CBC civil rights drama The Porter leads the film and TV field with 19 mentions in all, including for best small-screen drama.

The TV categories, voted on by around 3,000 Canadian industry insiders, also sees the CBC series Detention Adventure and Sort Of – a Peabody award-winning show about a gender fluid young Muslim in Toronto played by Bilal Baig — nab 15 nominations each in an awards show shaping up to be a major showcase for people of color.
That follows Canadian film, and TV industry efforts to ensure diversity and inclusivity in the country’s indie production sector and prize-giving process.

Deacon continues to make waves on Y&r and Bold. Pic credit: CBS
Who is Deacon Sharpe on The Young and the Restless? That’s a question some Y&r fans are asking, as the character’s name has recently been brought up quite a bit.
Since Diane (Susan Walters) returned from the dead and revealed that Deacon (Sean Kanan) helped her fake her death, it was only a matter of time before Deacon had to face his actions.
Thanks to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) plotting to take down Diane, that moment is coming soon.
Another highly anticipated The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful crossover event is happening next week.
Nikki is headed to Los Angeles to have it out with Deacon, and he will soon find himself back in Genoa City.
So ahead of this big event, it’s time to have a little Deacon refresher.

It was recently reported that the Daytime Emmys were considering changes to its younger acting categories in 2020. With only four soaps left on the air, the national television academy may merge Best Younger Actress and Best Younger Actor into one gender-neutral category that would incorporate broadcast soaps as well as digital dramas. Our readers have strong feelings about that. Scroll down to read comments from our forum posters and to see our complete poll results.
Our poll was pretty decisive. Almost two-thirds of respondents (63%) said the Daytime Emmys should keep the younger acting categories just the way they are. Only about a quarter of readers (26%) think the categories should be merged, while the last 11% think the categories should be eliminated altogether. But the responses from the devoted soap watchers in our forums was more divided. Not many of them agree with this particular change, but some agree with the poll...

CBS is parting ways with Salvation.
The network has swung the ax on the summer drama after two low-rated seasons, according to Variety.
It focused on an asteroid that was making its way to Earth, and the two people who were tasked with notifying the government that it was coming.
Salvation Season 1 averaged just 3.5 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in the demo, and the series slipped even further this summer, with Salvation Season 2 averaging just 2.7 million viewers and a 0.3 rating.

With it being the lowest-rated summer series on the big four networks, a cancellation was widely expected, but it's surprising it comes months after the series wrapped its sophomore run.
"#Salvies... sadly we have received news that there won’t be a S3 for #Salvation," reads a statement on the Salvation Writers Twitter handle.

Soap Opera Digest reports that two “The Young and the Restless” alums are returning to Genoa City — again. Lauren Woodland and Kelly Kruger start taping again soon and will be around for an “indefinite” time. They recently came back to the show in March for the 45th anniversary of “Y&R,” and their next scenes are expected to start airing in June. Do you think they should stick around for good this time?
Woodland originally played Brittany Hodges on “Y&R” from 2000-2005. As a teenager Brittany dated Jt Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) and then Billy Abbott before eventually marrying Raul Guittierez (David Lago). During her original run on the show she earned one Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Younger Actress in 2004, which she lost to Jennifer Finnigan (“The Bold and the Beautiful”). In her time away from Genoa City, Brittany became a lawyer, and that’s actually what Woodland has...

Fans may be saying goodbye to Quinn Perkins when “Scandal” wraps its final season next month, but her real-life counterpart Katie Lowes is remaining a resident of Shondaland for the foreseeable future. However, this time the Tgit actress isn’t starring in a Shonda Rhimes’ series but is hosting the production company’s first-ever podcast.
“That’s right! I get to stay in Shondaland for ‘Katie’s Crib’ which is the best!” Lowes told People Thursday. The show will be mommy-centric.
“This whole thing of motherhood is insane. It’s a rollercoaster, which I love because the Shondaland logo is a rollercoaster. That’s basically how I feel every day,” Lowes joked.

The actress and husband Adam Shapiro welcomed their first child, son Albee, in October 2017.
“Shondaland approached me about it actually,” Lowes added. “They came to me and thought, ‘I feel like you’re going through this huge thing called motherhood and there are probably a lot of people that would benefit going through this stuff with you.’ It’s been amazing.”
The weekly podcast will feature fellow celebrity moms like Kristen Bell, Casey Wilson, Jennifer Finnigan, Angelique Cabral and June Diane Raphael.

In May, Shondaland executive producer Betsy Beers will also launch a podcast, called “Geri and Milli.” The series will navigate the generational gap between Beers (she calls herself “geriatric”) and her millennial guests with a humorous take. Beers and her guests will discuss cultural moments and how they’ve shaped each of their lives.
Both pods will be available on iTunes and other platforms, as well as on the Shondaland.com website. You can go ahead and subscribe to “Katie’s Crib” on iTunes now.
The final season of “Scandal” airs Thursdays at 10/9 c on ABC.
