The main focus of the premiere episode of the fourth season is catching us viewers up on what happened in the last 18 months between when the Pogues found El Dorado and then were named heroes in their town as we saw at the end of season 3. So what were they up to? Well if there's one thing you definitely can't say about John B, Sarah, Pope, Kie, JJ, and Cleo is that they're lazy. These guys definitely do not shy away from hard labor!

With them finding the gold, of course they're entitled to it.

The Pogues are back with a new adventure on Netflix with Outer Banks season 4 part 1, and you can bet that when they're not off on a dangerous treasure hunt, they're having a good time all the time. This season, with the Chateau and their beloved Poguelandia island in the past, the group creates their new oasis on The Cut, where they can plot their next move and listen to their favorite tunes.

The Man on Fire Netflix reboot series is starting to round out its cast, which now includes Bobby Cannavale coming in to guest star. It means no less than two MCU actors will be featured, as Cannavale appeared in the Ant-Man films while Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is starring in the upcoming Wonder Man series.

British actress Billie Boullet, who played Anne Frank in the recent Nat Geo limited series “A Small Light,” has signed on to star in Netflix’s upcoming “Man on Fire,” along with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Boullet will play Poe Rayburn, described as having “the lanky lines of someone growing at a rapid and confusing pace and the attitude that comes with it. She is unhappy about moving to Brazil because of her parent’s decision, spending her days with her wealthy international classmates until a tragic incident changes her perspective on family and life. Everything was so topsy-turvy during those 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes that when World-Breaker was announced last October, the production had a cast in place but wasn’t allowed to reveal who was starring. Months later, it’s been announced that Luke Evans and Milla Jovovich are the leads in the sci-fi monster film from director Brad Anderson.

Filming recently ended in Northern Ireland, and The Hollywood Reporter has the story that Signature Entertainment will distribute the film in the UK and Ireland. The news emerges as the Cannes Film Festival begins in earnest; production company The Exchange is hoping to find buyers for World-Breaker’s international and US rights at the festival’s busy market.

The projects, which all premiered in 2023, have been recognized for addressing complex topics relevant to society today, including social injustice, civil rights, Lgbtqia+ rights and experiences, Indigenous history and reparations, the experience of mixed-race Americans, racism and racial justice, and mental health.

Exclusive: Brit-French newcomer Billie Boullet, who recently scored a Critics Choice nomination for her portrayal of Anne Frank in Nat Geo and Disney+ series A Small Light, has joined Luke Evans (Beauty And The Beast) and Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) in sci-fi survival thriller World Breaker.

Actress Mila Harris (No Exit) is also confirmed to have joined the cast. As we previously revealed, Brad Anderson (The Call) is directing the movie, which is now filming in Northern Ireland.

The synopsis for the movie reads: “Five years ago, a tear in the fabric of reality brought creatures to our world from an alternate dimension bent on our destruction. A father hides his daughter on an island to keep her safe while he prepares her for survival and the battles to come. But when the world is about to break, no place is safe.”

Boullet will play the daughter, Evans and Jovovich are the parents.

The Casting Society of America announced the winners of the 39th annual Artios Awards, which honors “excellence in casting across feature film, television, commercials and theatre.”

Winners in the film categories include Barbie, Killers of the Flower Moon, Past Lives and The Holdovers, while The Bear, Succession, Beef, Reservation Dogs and The Last Of Us were honored in the television categories. Queer Eye, RuPaul’s Drag Race and A Black Lady Sketch Show also received wins.

Niecy Nash-Betts hosted the Los Angeles awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton on Thursday, while the New York ceremony was hosted by Alex Edelman at the Edison Ballroom. The London ceremony was hosted by Samantha Morton at the White City House.

Ava DuVernay was honored with the Lynn Stalmaster Award for Career Achievement, which was presented by David Oyelowo. Sharon Klein, head of casting at Disney Entertainment Television, was honored with the Hoyt Bowers Award for Excellence in Casting.
