Towards the end of last week we revealed the new poster for new found footage creature feature 'Area 407' (previously known as 'Tape 407'). The Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin helmed horror flick unleashed a very familiar looking poster which has got to have been heavily influenced by George A Romero's 'Diary of the Dead' one-sheet. Thankfully however this new poster is a tad more original although it does sort of scream 'Jurassic Park III' to me. Abigail Schrader, James Lyons, Melanie Lyons, Samantha Lester, Ken Garcia, Samantha Sloyan, Brendan Patrick Connor, Everette Wallin and Jude Gerard Prest all star. After debuting the first official poster for Area 407 last week, a second one has arrived, and of course we have it for you right here. The film will be available nationwide on IFC Midnight cable VOD and digital outlets and in select theaters on April 27, 2012.

Directed by Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin, Area 407 stars Abigail Schrader, Samantha Lester, James Lyons, Melanie Lyons, Brendan Patrick Connor, Ken Garcia, Samantha Sloyan, Everette Wallin and Jude Gerard Prest. The film was written by Robert Shepyer.

IFC Films has debuted the first trailer and poster for Area 407, which debuts on VOD formats and in select theaters April 27. Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin direct this found footage horror tale about a plane that crash lands at a secret testing facility. Check it out.

After taking off on a flight from New York to Los Angeles on New Years Eve, the passengers of Flight 37A are soon sent into shock and alarm as the plane experiences severe turbulence. The relentless weather attack causes panic and terror amongst the passengers until the plane ultimately crashes in a remote government-testing reserve, Area 407. Through footage captured by two teenage sisters, the accident and crash lead to further events that should not be viewed by the faint of heart. As they continue to film, it becomes apparent that the remaining survivors of Flight 37A may not survive the night.

The new poster is achingly similar to that of George A Romero's less than satisfying found footage zombie sequel 'Diary of the Dead' from back in 2007. Tape 407, along the lines of The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, and Apollo 18 is a horror faux documentary featuring "lost footage" — described in the film's press release as "too real for reality and too disturbing for fiction." Tape 407 opens with a group of people, including one pesky teenager with a camera, flying from New York to Los Angeles on New Year's Eve. Things go wrong when their plane hits extreme turbulence mid-flight, which leads to wild panic among the passengers until the plane crashes in a remote area. The bloody and disoriented survivors then discover they're not alone in the darkness. Unknown predators relentlessly start pursuing them. Unbeknownst to the victims, their planed crashed in a Us government-testing area, and those predators belong to the government's top-secret Mesa Experiment. Tape 407 was directed by Dale Fabrigar and Everette Wallin, from a screenplay by Fabrigar, Wallin, and Robert Shepyer.

Modus Operandi Pictures is developing, arguably, one of the first zombie styled martial arts thrillers with Project Purgatory Beijing. This project is currently in development and director Kantz (Wasteland) has set this film in China. Here, a plague-like virus decimates most of civilization. The survivors prove to be a heady crew, consisting of various military personnel. Check out the first ten minutes on this feature below. And hopefully, Kantz's latest film finds a distributor and that this film doesnot live up to its title.
