Black Deer Festival has revealed its final wave of acts for 2023, including Richard Hawley, Damian Lewis, Patty Griffin, Brandy Clark and Grace Petrie.

The new additions join a star-studded list of performers that includes Bear’s Den, Bonnie Raitt, and The Pretenders.

The fourth edition of the Americana festival is set to collide with the release of Lewis’ first album, Mission Creep. The actor-turned-musician has appeared in dramas such as Homeland and Billions, and only recently released his debut single “Down on the Bowery”.

“I’m really looking forward to Black Deer Festival and so excited to play live for y’all in the deer park on the day my new album is officially released,” Lewis said.

Grammy-nominated Clark is also set to release her hotly anticipated self-titled album in the month before her Black Deer performance.

While the laurel of earning Camila a win is nothing to scoff at, Morgan winning would be an incredible feat for the artist that was not only the first performer in the Blind Auditions, but also the first four chair turn of the season. Morgan sang “Hallelujah” during that first impression and was so good that Camila jumped out of the gate with her only block to keep Morgan from joining Gwen Stefani‘s team.

Eight weeks into Season 22 of The Voice, NBC’s sing-off really came to life — at least in so far as it went live Monday for the Playoffs. All 16 remaining contestants performed in hopes of earning enough viewer votes to advance or so impressing Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and/or Camila Cabello that their coach would save them or another coach would steal them during Tuesday’s results show.

Now, before we get to discussing the pivotal episode, I want to apologize in advance for my grading. Like the singing, it’s done live, in the moment, so all of my reactions are knee-jerk.

The Lantern Tour II will get underway in Washington, D.C., Tuesday evening with performers including Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, and Steve Earle. A winter 2020 concert in Nashville has been added to the itinerary, with Sheryl Crow and Amy Ray also joining the bill.

Grammy-winning performer Brandi Carlile has added a trio of special Nashville performances to her tour schedule, with three shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium set for January 2020. Joining the “Party of One” singer for these shows will be Kim Richey (January 14th) Lucie Silvas (January 15th), and, on January 16th, Natalie Hemby, who recently joined Carlile, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires in the side project the Highwomen. Even without the comfy chairs and floor lamp to set the mood, once Buddy and Julie Miller took the stage Wednesday night at Nashville’s City Winery it was as if they had invited the audience into their living room. Backed by a small group of musicians including Colin Linden on guitar, the couple delivered a brisk and blissful 45-minute set consisting mainly of songs from their recently released album, Breakdown on 20th Ave. South, which takes its name from the street on which their actual living room is situated.

Individually and as collaborators, married Nashville songwriters Buddy and Julie Miller have provided a steady stream of material for artists from Emmylou Harris and Levon Helm to Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert to record.
