Robin Williams had a long-established Hollywood career, and became known for a variety of movies, including Dead Poets Society and Patch Adams. Some of his most celebrated roles are from comedies (The Birdcage and Mrs. Doubtfire), and his knack for humor, along with a charismatic personality, made him beloved by many. Other films, whether blockbusters and/or critical hits, have included The Fisher King, Jumanji, Night at the Museum, and Disney’s Aladdin, where Williams famously portrayed Genie, a character now immortalized in popular culture.
Williams starred in many more projects, some underperforming, including Father’s Day and Death to Smoochy, the latter only generating $8 million. Still, he is often considered among the best parts of any movie he was in, and Williams' film legacy remains strong as audiences continue to enjoy his work across all genres. When it comes to science fiction, for example, he appeared in Flubber, A.

Specifically, the director has revealed new details regarding what the members of the fictional band Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) have been up to since the release of the first film.
Reiner stated:
Nigel has been running a cheese and guitar shop... David has been writing music for a true-crime podcast called 'The Trouble With Murder.' And Derek is the curator of a museum of glue. He's also written a symphony about the fact that the devil wears a bad hairpiece. It's called 'Hell Toupe.'

The Steve Carell movie Evan Almighty was at one time the most expensive comedy movie ever, in addition to being an enormous box office bomb. The follow-up, which featured an ensemble cast that included Morgan Freeman, Lauren Graham, John Goodman, John Michael Higgins, Jimmy Bennett, and Wanda Sykes, focused on the story of a previously minor Bruce Almighty supporting character named Evan Baxter who was played by Carell, who had since risen to fame playing Michael Scott on the sitcom The Office.
In addition to being a television star, Carell would go on to be a major movie star. One of his best-known roles is voicing the reformed supervillain Gru in the Despicable Me movies, but he has held many major roles outside of the animated franchise in both comedies and dramas. This...

In “Prom Dates,” two high school besties are sent reeling after their carefully orchestrated plans for the future take an abrupt turn, forcing them on a wild overnight adventure across town. If this set-up sounds vaguely familiar, it’s because director Kim O. Nguyen and screenwriter D.J. Mausner have combined a handful of ingredients from “Booksmart” and mixed them with some of the farcical odyssey of “After Hours.” However, unlike this teen raunch-com’s brilliantly conceived inspirations, its main friendship dynamic and ensuing shenanigans fail to resonate due to sloppy character construction and a cadre of cringe-worthy circumstances.
As innocent middle schoolers, Hannah (Millie Thorpe) and Jess (Hailey Philip) took a blood oath – one that went hilariously awry – to make their prom night the best night of their lives. John Michael Higgins grew up on game shows as a child, so to play a host on TV or movies and then helm actual ones of his own is never lost on him. The prolific actor has been a popular fixture on the Game Show Network in recent years starting with America Says, which ran for five seasons over more than 500 episodes. The show even earned him an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Game Show Host.” From there, Higgins has gone on to host a throwback in Split Second, which is currently in the middle of its second season. Based on the format from the legendary Monty Hall, the game sees three contestants decide in a split second which of the three general interest trivia questions they can answer. The first player to buzz in gets the first pick with the last player left to answer whatever is left, which is often the most difficult.

Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel will co-write the next “Fast and Furious” movie with “Fast X” helmer Louis Leterrier returning to direct.
Last week, Variety exclusively revealed that Leterrier would direct the next installment of “Fast and Furious,” which serves as a companion film to “Fast X,” opening May 19. The 11th film in the Vin Diesel-starring franchise will mark Hodson and Uziel’s first official collaboration.
While news of the team up might come as a surprise to some, the two in-demand creatives are friends and share office space, which made the decision to work together practically inevitable.
Hodson is a British-born, Los Angeles-based, writer and producer, who is best known for writing Paramount’s 2018 “Transformers” prequel “Bumblebee” and writing and co-producing 2020’s “Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey” for Warner Bros. and DC Comics. Her next project is the highly anticipated “The Flash” movie, also for Warner Bros. and DC Comics.

Jenna Ortega hosted Saturday Night Live with musical guest The 1975 and it brought us a great show overall. And one of the first sketches of the night was Ortega hanging out with the boys of Please Don't Destroy. The comedy group, which is made up of Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy, has slowly continued to make a name for themselves on Saturday Night Live and this is one of the first times that their sketch of the night was up front and center. Jenna Ortega tells the Please Don’t Destroy guys — Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy — that she won’t do the Wednesday Dance she made famous in her Netflix series, but is ultimately persuaded in a “Saturday Night Live” promo clip released on Wednesday.
She’s the only one not dressed like her Gothic character in the clip, which you can watch above. All three male comedians are wearing a variation on her frilled black gown. She takes the stage and half-heartedly goes through the motions from the viral dance routine while looking exceedingly bored.
Ortega, who also stars in “Scream VI,” which opens on Friday March 10, hosts “SNL” for the first time this Saturday, March 11.

Jenna Ortega is sharing her honest feedback about revisiting the viral Wednesday dance in her Saturday Night Live promo.
Ortega, who stars in the new horror film Scream VI, makes her hosting debut March 11 on the NBC sketch comedy series. She will be joined by musical guest The 1975, who previously appeared on the show in 2016.
In a video released Wednesday, Ortega holds a script for a sketch about her hit Netflix series Wednesday. As the actress explains to SNL’s Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy, who collectively make up the group Please Don’t Destroy, she doesn’t have a problem with the material they’ve written, but she also doesn’t feel up for performing her character’s popular dance again.

The Please Don’t Destroy Boys have ambushed yet another of SNL‘s big-name hosts. In a promo for this week’s show, Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy try to convince Jenna Ortega to do the Wednesday dance with them.
Ortega, of course, demurs. After all, the bit became a social media hit last year and the actress has likely been asked to perform it hundreds of times by fans.
But the boys are not put off so easily. They’ve each dressed up as Wednesday and employ a bit of reverse psychology.

In December, Ortega revealed that she had Covid when she shot the viral dance scene.

Please Don't Destroy brings their unique brand of comedy to Saturday Night Live and it is typically a simple sketch that just goes haywire somewhere down the line. The group, which consists of Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy, is newer to Saturday Night Live but we've already come to know exactly what to expect from this crew. It's always weird and it's always odd, but the hosts seems to love doing their outrageous sketches.

Ingmar Bergman had Liv Ullmann. Woody Allen had Diane Keaton and Christopher Guest had Catherine O’Hara — that’s how actor John Michael Higgins summed up the stature of O’Hara’s work on screen with Guest and other top directors during a wide-ranging Q&a held Saturday as part of the sixth annual USC Comedy Festival.
The Emmy-winning O’Hara was honored with the Jack Oakie and Victoria Horne Oakie Masters of Comedy Award at the festival, in recognition of her long, and often underrated, career in film, TV, stage and sketch comedy.
The Oakie Foundation honors the lives and work of two comedy legends, Jack Oakie and Victoria Horne Oakie. Jack Oakie won a supporting actor Oscar for Charlie Chaplins’ 1940 satire “The Great Dictator.” Victoria Oakie was a comedy trouper who had supporting roles (as Victoria Horne) in numerous films, most memorably opposite Jimmy Stewart in 1950’s “Harvey.”

The comedy group known as Please Don't Destroy which consists of Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy has brought their absurdist way of thinking to Saturday Night Live. Usually, their sketches include something absolutely outrageous like a random animal or someone just constantly appearing, and this time, they decided to use the host to their advantage. Or at least the fact that he was willing to take over as their new "Ben". Marshall is on a stakeout with host Woody Harrelson and the two are in the car watching his friends.
