In 2000, Hoffman was waiting tables in NYC to get by while auditioning for television and movie roles. Upon receiving word that he won the role of Freddie Sacker on The $treet (2000) he quit and moved to Los Angeles.

Has one son: (b.December 2014).

Attended University of Arizona.

Grew up in Roslyn Heights, New York.

For high school, he attended the Wheatley School.
