Sandra Bullock has asked a judge presiding over her divorce proceedings to allow the California lawyer who handled Clint Eastwood's palimony case against ex-partner Sondra Locke to be added to her legal team. The actress walked out on husband Jesse James in March after his infidelities were revealed in the press.
She filed for divorce in Texas on April 23 and is planning to care for the former couple's son Louis, who was adopted in January, on her own. Now new documents obtained by TMZ show Bullock's lawyers have filed a motion asking for Joseph Kibre to become part of her legal team.
In the late 1980s, Kibre negotiated an out-of-court settlement on behalf of Eastwood after his former girlfriend Locke took him to court in a palimony suit asking for $1.3 million (866,000 pound sterling) for the 14 years they had lived together. He reportedly organized a deal for the actress to...

Ready to protect her assets from ex-husband Jesse James, Sandra Bullock is trying to add a pair of out-of-state lawyers to her staff in Texas.
According to TMZ reports, "Joseph Kibre, a California family law expert, has filed a motion with the Texas judge handling Bullock's divorce asking for permission to work on the case."
Along with Kibre, Miss Bullock's case has also attracted Edward Howell Crosby, who is based out of the Louisiana office of the Houston-based firm representing the Oscar winning actress.
As judges decide whether out of state attorneys can join in on a case by case basis, Sandra's still waiting to find out if her beefed up team is a go.

Bullock Wants Eastwood Lawyer For Divorce Battle
Sandra Bullock has asked a judge presiding over her divorce proceedings to allow the California lawyer who handled Clint Eastwood's palimony case against ex-partner Sondra Locke to be added to her legal team.
The actress walked out on husband Jesse James in March after his infidelities were revealed in the press. She filed for divorce in Texas last month and is planning to care for the former couple's son Louis, who was adopted in January, on her own.
Now new documents obtained by TMZ.com show Bullock's lawyers have filed a motion asking for Joseph Kibre to become part of her legal team.
In the late 1980s, Kibre negotiated an out-of-court settlement on behalf of Eastwood after his former girlfriend Locke took him to court in a palimony suit asking for $1.3 million (£866,000) for the 14 years they had lived together. He reportedly organised a deal for the actress to have a 'pay or play' contract with Warner Bros., which would allow her to get paid for film roles even if the movie was cancelled.
Locke later filed suit against the studio in 1996, claiming the contract was never fulfilled.
Bullock is also asking for Louisiana-based attorney Edward Howell Crosby to be allowed to join her team - he previously handled the Oscar-winner's tax issues in 2004.

Sandra Bullock Adds Legal Firepower to Divorce
TMZ has obtained new legal documents showing that Sandra Bullock is bolstering her legal team -- and going out of state to do it.
According to docs, Joseph Kibre, a California family law expert, has filed a motion with the Texas judge handling Bullock's divorce asking for permission to work on the case. Judges typically allow out-of-state lawyers to participate on a case-by-case basis.
It's interesting Sandra wants a California lawyer involved -- probably because Sandra and Jesse James have property in the state. And another lawyer -- Edward Howell Crosby is asking for similar permission to join Sandra's legal team. Crosby -- a Louisiana lawyer -- works for the law firm that is handling Bullock's case. The firm has offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Houston. Crosby is also the lawyer who handled Bullock's tax problems in 2004.
