Bruce Brockett
- Actor
- Producer
- Director
Bruce Brockett was born in New London, Connecticut, to Slade, a USN submariner, and Mary, a microbiologist and pianist. He spent his early years traveling with his father's military career before the family settled in the Pacific Northwest. Bruce is the oldest of three, the tallest of five, and has been blessed with his Scottish ancestors' hereditary red beard.
Bruce spent most of his childhood reading, writing, and daydreaming; three activities that eventually led him to musical theatre and film. By the time he was nineteen he had acted in six musicals, directed his first feature film POWERED, and spent countless hours hunched over his videos in the editing room. After serving a two year mission, he went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Media Arts Studies from Brigham Young University (Class of '24), direct the award-winning short film The Trial of Sergeant Joanis (BYU PDFF 2024: Best Acting Performance), and receive a lifetime membership in Phi Alpha Theta.
His career goal is to be a Screenwriter/Director like his icons M. Night Shyamalan, Brad Bird, and Christopher Nolan, but he's also inspired by the Director/Actor career of Taika Waititi.
