Kathryn Newton will once again be teaming up with filmmaking collective Radio Silence, this time on their horror sequel Ready Or Not 2. The Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania actor previously collaborated with the directing duo on last year’s Universal horror movie Abigail. Collectively known as Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, Radio Silence announced the sequel last October.

The original Ready Or Not writers are also back: Guy Busick and R Christopher Murphy will provide the film’s screenplay while Samara Weaving – the original film’s star – is also returning.

Deadline reports that the actress is set to re-team with Radio Silence duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who directed Newton previously in last year's vampire horror film Abigail. Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett also directed Ready or Not and other popular recent horror movies like Scream 5 and Scream 6.

Released in 2019, the first Ready or Not was an absolute blast of a movie. It did very well at the box office, grossing over $57.6 million on a $6 million budget and it was heavily praised by critics and audiences alike. Ready or Not helped catapult Weaving into the realm of modern-day scream queens and she's appeared in several since (including getting the coveted opening kill in Scream 6). Next she'll star in the comedy thriller Borderline with Ray Nicholson.

Exclusive: The Ready Or Not gang of filmmakers Radio Silence and scribes Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, are coming back together to work on the MGM horror high school movie Reunion.

Radio Silence, composed of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella, will direct and produce off a screenplay and story by Busick, who co-wrote the story with Murphy.

Busick and Radio Silence recently were in production on Spyglass Media Group and Paramount’s reboot of Scream, due out 2022.

Night Shyamalan’s new Tales from the Crypt horror block for TNT is ramping up with an official 10-episode initial order for a Tales from the Crypt anthology series with a reinvented Crypt Keeper, based on the original EC Comics. Additionally, TNT has given a pilot order to Time of Death (working title), a anthology season-long series from Im Global Television for the block. The network also has put in development another project earmarked for the horror franchise, Creatures, produced by Sue Naegle (Outcast). The Tales From the Crypt block is now slated to launch in 2017.

The Tales From the Crypt anthology series will be at the center of each week’s lineup, guided by a newly reinvented Crypt Keeper, one of the most popular characters in the Tales from the Crypt universe.
